Fresh and Tasty 2/21/2003

Stir-fried lunches while you wait, not ladled out of pots. Chicken with cashews is my favorite, Wonton soup best in town. Special attention for regular customers rounds out the great Suzi's exprience. Haven't tried the new sushi bar yet. Pros: Delicious, Atmosphere, Suzi more

Consistency 2/21/2003

I also went to Suzi's China in the other part of Austin since we just had too much a good time on day before to try out for lunch before living Austin; it wasn't as fancy setting but the service was still great. The cost was better and the FOOD was also CONSISTENLY great!!! My kids like this place more than the Grill, says that their orange chicken tasted better. But for me, the FOOD was good as it can be in both places. Pros: Price, Variety of Menu, Taste more

Good sit down 2/17/2003

In this age of Chinese food being automatically associated with a buffet, it's nice to find a good sit down restaurant to visit. Suzi's is just that. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is great. Previous reviews have mentioned small portions but I would say that this is only the case if you are a big eater. In that case, the problem can be solved by ordering an appetizer or soup. The service could be a bit better, but overall it's a great restaurant. Pros: Good atmosphere, Tasty food Cons: Service a little slow more

Excellent Restaurant 1/15/2003

I thoroughly enjoy each visit to Suzi's China Grill. Though I'm not a vegetarian by any means, I really enjoy the Szechuan Green Beans. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is quick. I do wish I could have the choice of egg roll instead of a fried Won-Ton, though :) Pros: Excellent Food, Reasonable Prices Cons: Parking too narrow more

Best Chinese In Austin! 12/16/2002

I've had a difficult time finding "good" chinese food in Austin. Now that I've found Suzi's, I've stopped looking! Pros: location, inexpensive, excellent food Cons: parking more

Nice but I'm still not full 11/9/2002

I like this place...nice ambience and good food..but the only gripe that I have is that the quantity is really little for the price. Make sure you get a good appetizer before getting to the entree to fill ya up. more

Best Chinese Food in Austin 8/12/2002

I generally love Suzi's. Most of my experiences have been wonderful. Their calamari is the best! It is not really as generous a serving as other restaurants, - this goes for the rest of the menu as well as the calamari- but, let's face it, most Austin restaurants have monster size portions that are unhealthy.Back to the calamari: it tastes fresh and the breading is really light. It really brings out the flavor. Most of their dishes make the most of flavor and are really fresh and simple. The atmosphere is really nice, too. It is a little pricey, but the quality is worth it. My only negative experience occured when I got a dish to go. The food tasted of the styrofoam container, and the food was cold by the time I got it home. So I recommend dining in only. Pros: best calamari, wonderful entrees, good atmosphere more

don't worry about being seen or who you'll see...just enjoy the excellent food... Pros: short wait, smiling faces, great selection more

Chinese Food My Axx.... 7/10/2002

If this is what you call "the best Chinese Food in Austin," I would feel terribly sorry for you. Please, even I can make more authentic and better Chinese food than those people at Suzi's. And I'm just a college kid. I've had my share of some really yucky Americanized Chinese food here in the US, but Suzi's is really quite "something" if you know what I mean. Perhaps is just my Taiwanese taste bud or maybe, that's just what you Americans like.....but don't call it "Chinese food," call it American, 'cause it's degrading to Chinese culinary tradition. more
