This is by far the best sushi restaurant I know. The food is always consistent and delicious. Not to mention the service is usually very good. Another wonderful thing about Sushi Yama is that their menu has major variety with hundreds of sushi rolls to choose from and a large number of entrees including noodle dishes, curries, and stir fry. The atmosphere has always been very welcoming, but since their renovation in 2010, Sushi Yama has attracted a much younger crowd and the overall dining experience is way more upbeat :) I recommend this place to everyone I know. Trust me on this one. I have been a frequent customer for over ten years!!!! more

Horrible Chicken Teriyaki. Tasted/looked like boiled chicken with teriyaki sauce dumped on top. Came with 2 small strips of carrot and 3 pieces of broccoli. Will not visit this restaurant again. more

I used to eat here at least once a week, but last 2 times have been disappointing. Last week my server came to table with so much food in her mouth she couldn't talk! Gross! The rolls have been falling apart and the fish was very mushy and watery, not sure if they are handling product the same. more

This best place in town for sushi rolls. They have over a hundred. The staff really make you feel at home and treat you like gold. Sushi Yama could be the cleanest restaurant I've seen - which is very important when you eat sushi. I visit at least every week. more

My husband and I are regulars here and it's easily my favorite restaurant in Boca. The decor is clean and modern, the staff are friendly, and most importantly, the food is delicious! I've never had a bad experience here. It's definitely worth the money if you enjoy sushi! more

I have been eating at Sushi Yama since I moved here three years ago. In that time I have been at least 40 times, if not more. The sushi is fantastic! In all of those times I have been, I have had one good waiter. In this case, the sushi is worth it! more

I have eaten at Sushi Yama many times and it's always good. The staff is always friendly and the sushi is always consistent. The price is very reasonable for the quality and it's always a treat to have a late night bite at Yamas. Even before I moved to Boca Raton from NY City (10 years ago)I remember coming to Yamas and there is a reason why it's still open. They are a straight up good sushi destination. Love there bento boxes for lunch. Quality, good service, good bargain and just plain good all around. Let's not forget there open late on weekends for your late night sushi fix.. more

The sushi's OK, but the crowd they attract isn't the best. They play mostly hiphop music, which attracts the young and rowdy kids. Personally, I found both the ambiance, service, and food to be much better at Fuji. Not bad if you're looking for something quick. more

Love the volcano at the tepanyaki grill. This is the height of cheesiness--but it's good cheese. The chefs know every one liner, "egg roll", "Japanese cola", flaming smiley faces. Seen this place through its many incarnations, all of them good. more

I found a gem! I eat a lot of sushi. I eat a lot of sushi in a lot of cities. I usually find sushi bars try to fool me into eating chewy tasteless miniscule portions that cost a mint. This IS the exception. Every time I try a new shushi restaurant I order simple sashimi and sushi, starting with nagiri and working my way up to the futomaki... I look for skill in preparation, freshness of product, superior flavor, and prompt service. This place is the real deal and has it all. Don't be scared my fellow sashimi lemmings. Take your wallet off life support, open your mouth, and insert the goodness that is fresh succulent fish expertly crafted into a mouth watering delight. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here. more

We are sushi addicts, and never thought we'd find a restaurant rivaling those in the great cities known for sushi. Sushi Yama competes...delicious, fresh, and a wonderful variety. more
