Sushi Tango

My wife and I go out to eat fairly often and decided on Sushi Tango because we had been there a few weeks ago and loved it. Instead of sitting at the bar, which we did last time, we put our names in for a table and were seated within 5 minutes. That's when things began to go downhill. Our server took well over 10 minutes to come over and introduce herself - it was not overly crowded at all. Several times she walked by without even aknowledging us. After taking our drink order, it took her another 15 minutes before she brought them over. Our appetizer took over 15 minutes as did our sushi - which did not taste fresh and was doused in a thick sauce. My wife and I never complain about poor service and are always generous tippers no matter what, but this pushed us over the edge. We asked for the manager and she apologized profusely and gave us a 20% off coupon. What we wanted was an intimate dinner with great service. We stop in at Tango in uptown every time we are in town and have never had a bad experience. We love the new store and have a great time with the chefs and staff. We've had sushi across the country and this compares with any of the better restaurants we have encountered. We really appreciate not having to order off the menu and just let the chefs create items for us. Thank You Tango and we will be back.
