OMG 5/8/2008

I have heard about this place and everyone raves about the fake ham you can get from their freezer to take home. After some vegan friends let me taste that lushious ham last week we had to go. \r \r We had the spring rolls, Shredded pork rolls, lemongrass chicken and kung pao chicken. \r \r The spring rolls we good but nothing to write about - the pork rolls were out of this world, as were the entrees. That lemongrass chicken is unreal. I wasn't expecting what I got - it was little tender strips of what looked like fried chicken. \r \r I can't wait to go back! Pros: Incredible Food Cons: Likely run by a cult more

you'll be addicted to the Lemongrass chicken!!!!! 9/24/2007

I have enjoyed the vegetarian house for years now. The best thing on the menu is the lemon grass chicken!! It tears like real chicken, its crunchy and has the suttlest amount of spice mixed with a wounderful lemongrass tang. I promise you'll go there at least once a week just for another taste. try it with a side of their brown sauce, and see which you preffer. The fried rice is perfect, the stuffed tomatoes are a great appetizer. If you go for lunch you get a lentil soup before your meal, the lunch menu is much smaller and i religiously get the # 17mix it all up with the sauce and enjoy all the flavors..if you like it spicy like me, order a side of chili paste and mixit in...it is really mouthwatering...the hot tea is always complementary for lunch and dinner. all around i think if you know what to order this spot is fantastic. If your not sure what to order David is always honest about whats good and whats not so good. tTake his advise I did and I'v loved it all.\r another plus is they sell frozen soy meats..a variety that you won't find anywhere else. they recently came out with some take home recepies. All of them look delicious. they even have the recipe for that yummy lemongrass chicken, and the stuffed tomatoes. Cons: the decore and ambience is bland, but the food is worth it. more

Very bland 4/22/2007

I'm vegetarian, and I get excited when I find a new restaurant to try. Someone had recommended this place to me, so I decided to give it a go. \r I walked in and was ignored for about 5 minutes, and saw that this restaurant is based on a small religious cult. I was led to a table that was front and center, and seated me toward the door. Everyone that walked into the dining area had to walk by me, which was a bit uncomfortable as I was dining alone. The greeter barely said a word to me, and the person that took my order didn't speak english very well. \r The menu is strictly Chinese food. I ordered the spring rolls and the house special chicken (fake chicken). \r I waited about 10 minutes for the appetizer.\r The spring rolls were freshly made and very hot from frying. The inside texture was pasty and bland; the dominant flavor was mushroom. I tried making it more savory with the sweet and sour sauce, but the sauce was so poorly flavored that I could not taste it at all.\r I waited about 20 minutes for the main dish AFTER I had finished my spring rolls -40 min total. \r The chicken arrived and looked good, although a description on the menu would have helped. It was two batterd and deep fried fake chicken patties over a bed of chopped cabbage with a brown sauce. The chicken was absolutely tasteles. The texture was bizarre, with the pattie being made of several layers of thin rubbery sheets. The batter was not spiced at all. It did however hold oil well, so the result was a heavy, greay dish. The brown sauce had a faint taste of soy sauce, and that was about it. It was sprinkled with chopped green onions which also managed to be tasteless. I ended up putting some soy sauce on my rice and ate that so I wouldn't be hungry.\r They gave me a vegan fortune cookie on the way out - it tasted like saw dust and coconut oil. I barely gagged down half of it. \r Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend it, and I will not go there again. Cons: Food, service more
