We absolutely love The Shack!! The bartender is great and once he sees us walk in the door, he makes sure there are 2 seats at the bar and has our drinks waiting there for us before we even sit down. Can't get any better service than that! If you haven't been there, it's definitely worth it!!\r more

The Summer Shack is awesome. Vinnie the bartender is great and knows what we want from the minute we sit down... we never have to ask for another beer, he just knows. The beer battered fish and chips is one of the best things on the menu and the French fries are some of the best I've ever had.\r more

I took a date to the bar at the Cambridge summer shack, the bartender Maureen and she was very informative in explaining the oysters which were great and shucked right next to us. We shared a couple of appetizers, fried clams, tomato and mozzarella salad and tuna special. All was great and so was the ICE COLD harpoon. I have been here before with my family but this was my first time to sit at the bar and I enjoyed it.\r more

The raw bar is great and I especially like the condiments for the oysters, not just the usual gloppy ketchup and horseradish. My husband and I split a few appetizers (the daily specials are usually great) and some oysters and find it's plenty of food and the check is not bad at all. The wine list is exceptional for a place like this; the service is not.\r more

Who can deny great seafood? No one. Summer Shack has some of the freshest seafood, directly from the fisherman in Boston. I had a 1-1/4 lb. Lobster for $20 last night, and it was phenomenal. Not only is the food great but so is the service. Awesome sports bar within the restaurant, with a projector and a pool table. They have five locations within greater Boston, so go to one near you!\r more

""I took my wife here for Valentine’s Day and we were very happy with our meal. It is sort of in an oddl location on the corner right next to a highway and large rotary. It was a little difficult to get to from the opposite side of the street, but once we figured it out it was easy. \r We had the special Lobster that is Jasper Whites specialty. About as unpretentious as it is possible to get (think paper table cloths) with great oysters, lobster and fish. Try the swordfish skewers for lunch. Mmm, swordfishtastic. And there's free corn bread! It's been 5 nears now, and I never tire of coming more

I had a swordfish special that was served with marinated tomatoes and squash. Mmmmmm.... The second time was for a graduation party that was in the bar area, so it was private. All you can eat raw bar. Doesn't get any better than that. I like the casual atmosphere. Its a nice change from the typical Legal Seafood/Atlantic Fish Co. scene. more
