Straight To The Point Body Piercing

It was my 18 birthday and I wanted to get a monroe done, but my boyfriend didn't want me to get any new piercings, and I still wasn't sure about getting it done anyways.\r We wandered around Portland and I found myself walking by STTP... I stopped dead in my tracks and stared in amazement. I HAD TO GO IN. \r George greeted us with a smile, and answered any questions I had. Costs of jewelry were ridiculous, but I bought a 14G internally threaded eyebrow ring. I wanted a 16, but they had none in stock at the time and George suggested that since I had my eyebrow pierced for four years it could be gauged to a 14. I agreed and he took me in the room to insert it.\r I was astonished at the cleanliness of the shop - just to change a piece of jewelry, George sterilized the chair, washed his hands four or five times, put on gloves to take out my eyebrow ring, put new gloves on to place the new one. After just having my eyebrow ring replaced there, I realized why it was so pricey. You truly get what you pay for and it is definitely worth it. \r Unfortunately, about two months later I had to retire my piercing for a job I got. Once I took out the ring, I couldn't get it back in. \r \r I'm back in California now, and I went ahead and got my monroe done - and am now considering angel bites. I may be moving back to Portland, and when that happens, I'm going to STTP for everything!!\r \r Thanks George! My best friend and I went to get piercings together at Straight To The Point II. She was getting her tongue pierced, and I was getting my nape pierced. We were both really nervous, but George, our piercer, made us both very comfortable. She went first, and then it was my turn. I'm afraid of needles but he made it an enjoyable experience overall. He even suggested something different, that I liked better than what I had in mind for my piercing. George is the best piercer ever! I'm definitely going back to him for my next one... Thanks George! I had been wanting to get a piercing for sometime. My hubby and I were on a mini vacation in Portland and happened to be walking by STTP and decided to just go in and ask a few questions. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted By Emily. I told her I was interested in getting a piercing of a ""personal nature"". She totally put me at ease and answered all my questions. She was so nice and so informative even though I told her it wasn't something I was thinking of doing right now. She pulled the jewelry out and showed it to us and explained the whole process. When we were done she gave me a business card and said if we had anymore questions to not hesitate to call. We walked out the door and got maybe ten feet away and I decided I didn't want to wait and I certainly didn't want to get it done anywhere else. I walked back in and said I was ready to do it now. I filled out all the paperwork and waited for the jewelry to be sterilized. When it was time to do it we went in the room and she put me totally at ease. She explained everything to us as she was doing it. When it was done She explained all the aftercare and I left there feeling great about what I had just done. Today is exactly a week later and I just got a card in the mail today from STTP signed by Emily thanking me for letting them do my piercing and hoping everything was going good. I am a veteran of body piercing and have given up on some as a nuisance over the years. I was fortunate enough to find Straight To The Point at The Body Art Expo in San Francisco this weekend. I cannot say enough about the team not making a ""hard sell"" but being very informative during the whole process.\r \r Emily was the first contact and she told us lots about how the whole process worked. At the end of the show I felt it was time to try a new style of piercing to accent some of the body art I have. Alex took the time to talk with me before the piercing and it was a very pleasant experience. I am HOOKED! My fiance and I wanted to get some ""special"" piercing and weren't quite sure where to go or what to expect. So we came on citysearch and were blown away by all of STTP's reviews. We were really confident about where we were going but wanted to be the final judges. When we got to STTP Nick was whom we had our appointment with. I had several questions and he was able to answer all of them and made us feel very good about where and who was doing our piercing. Nick was extremely professional and the studio was immaculant! I couldn't be more confident with the place we choose. I would defiantly go back and we will recommend STTP to all of our friends. I guarantee you can't find a better studio than STTP!!! So after having such an amazing experience with Emily fixing my CA pierced, uber irritated piercing, I decided to go back to STTP for my nose piercing. This time I got George, who was so patient with my ridiculous questions (how do you know you won't stab my septum??) :-) and walked me through each step right from the beginning, starting with the sterilization and custom bending of my jewelry.\r I got it one week ago today, and hands down it's been my favorite piercing! Having an amazing piercer combined with H2Ocean has made this a great experience, and I can't wait for my next piercing!!\r Thank you STTP!!! About 3.5 months ago, my husband and I decided to go get ourselves pierced for an Anniversary gift. I already have had my toungue and naval pierced for 10 years, but I was ready to branch out and get a more ""personal"" piercing. My hubby wanted to join the ranks of those with toungue piercings. I did a lot of research, and a friend highly recommended STTP because she had received a ""personal"" piercing from there as well. The piercer was highly professional. I was able to ask every question I had, and didn't feel rushed, or like I was annoying. Everything was explained in plain english. All in all, the whole experience was as fabulous as a piercing can be. As we were leaving, we met the owner as well. He was wonderful and professional as well. I got my lip pierced somewhere else and was having horrible luck with the after care methods provided by my piercer I found out about STTP by a friend who had gotten a piercing there.\r \r I originally went there to get my lip looked at for a second unbiased opinion from a piercer that didn't work at the place I initially got it pierced because It had not been getting me anywhere.\r \r As soon as I walked in, the apprentice Preston was very kind and told me to wait patiently because the piercer Nick was in the middle of a piercing.\r \r After Nick had finished, he took the time to sit down and go over with me in great detail what was going on and how I could fix it (by giving me a solution to use and recommended a mouthwash).\r \r He answered ALL of my questions in between his next few clients, lets just say he was very inormative, helpful and straight to the point. more

Once again Straight to the Point has knocked my socks off! I went back in to get a new piece of jewelry for my Marilyn Monroe and got the greatest service once again! Not only did I get to see my excellent piercer Nick again, there was another guy (who I didn't get his name), at the front who was really helpful too! I'm still blown away at how sanitary this place is! I have NEVER been to a cleaner more sanitized piercing place and I am thankful for that! They also carry the top of the line jewelry for better prices than other places!! When you come to STTPP you know you are going to get the greatest people helping and working with you, with the most knowledge! I went in to Straight to the Point to get a navel piercing. My friend had gone to this same piercing parlor as well for her nose and I witnessed nothing but fantastic attitude and skill from the employees. When you walk in, the parlor is clean and tidy, comfy couches to sit on and gallery books which offer photos of past piercings to curious customers. The staff were immediately friendly and looked happy to have me inquiring about a piercing. They made me feel very comfortable, were very casual and seemed genuinely interested in their client's best interest as far as their personal life and as far as their medical/physical needs. A family member of mine accompanied me and he was very impressed with Nick - the man who pierced me - because he spoke to us not as if he were talking down to a 5 year old, but he spoke to us as if we were just as involved as he was in a piercing and answered all questions thoroughly and intelligently. It was impressive to me that he impressed my family member - often a tough critic of employees at different establishments. This was a fantastic, fantastic, FANTASTIC experience. The actual piercing was clean, comfortable and Nick was very interested in keeping conversation going to get to know his client and to inform them of what exactly was going to happen. I appreciated it a lot! My piercing looks AMAZING and in the future I plan on going back to STTP. I highly recommend STTP to ANYONE who may be interested in a piercing :) more

I'm SO happy that I came to STTPP for my marilyn monroe piercing! From the second we walked in I felt comfortable with this place. So clean and totally different than other piercing places. My husband was with me and a really good friend and we all just relaxed comfortably on the nice leather couches they had, while my jewelry was sanitizing. I was impressed with the cool observation windows, too. My piercing was done by Nick and he was super nice and funny. He made sure I was comfortable before starting. He had my friend and I laughing! Needless to say it was a great experience and I will definitely refer friends there! I love my marilyn piercing and Nick did such a great job! I went in to get my Industrial pierced and the piercer was very professional. he answered all my questions and helped me decide if this was the right piercing. i will be returning in a few days to get my snakebites done. i look forward to another great experience! I first heard about STTP from Citysearch, and with such great reviews I decided to finally get my nose pierced, like I'd been wanting for years. When I arrived at the shop I was immediately greeted and all my questions answered without making me feel like an idiot. They're very professional, and will advise you if you should have something done or not. It's now been about a year since I've had my nose and my labret pierced by Nick, and they look amazing and healed perfectly! I just went back this weekend to get my ears stretched, and like always Nick did an awesome job and it's only been two days and there's absolutely no paid! I highly recommend STTP, for their acknowledgeable staff, amazingly clean facility, awesome jewelry (no crappy Hot Topic stuff here). All in all, the best piercing place I've visited in Portland! I first learned about STTP three years ago from reviews I read on citysearch and was so impressed with the ratings and customer feedback that I decided to take a chance and go there for a nipple piercing. The experience I had was so amazing that I don't even live in Portland anymore, but I still only go there to get new piercings. The shop is incredibly clean and the staff is so conscious of potential contamination that you feel like you are being taken care of by the most professional of doctors. At the same time, the staff(especially Nick who I have gone to for all three of my latest piercings) is friendly, welcoming, and so knowledgeable about their work that any nervousness you might feel about the procedure or pain is quickly abated. I would recommend STTP to anyone interested in having a happy, healthy piercing and a safe, clean, comfortable experience during the process of getting it. Nick is truly amazing, and he never forgets someone he pierces, which makes the experience that much more comfortable and awesome. I had George pierce my ears a couple months ago. I felt kind of stupid going in and asking to get my ears pierced again (i only had one at the time in each ear) because my twin came along with me and got her nipples pierced! However, George was very very very professional! He made me feel so comfortable and he described everything he was doing and I watched him clean and sterilize everything. He talked to me during the whole time and made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything and answered all the questions I had. Even when I was able to change my piercings, I went back and the staff again was very helpful! I thought the price was kind of expensive, however, feeling totally comfortable while getting a piercing was priceless to me. George was excellent. My friends needed to leave for class so I was with out any moral support and he walked me through the entire procedure and was extremely professional. i am a pretty girly girl but love getting pierced. I used to get to pierced at another local shop, and every time i went in there i felt unwelcome. i was pierced there several times and brought friends to get pierced and i always felt like they treated me like i was some stupid little preppy girl just because i dont have facial piercings and tons of tattoos. then i heard of straight to the point and my life changed! i got my first non-ear piercing, i got two studs on my lower back by nick, he was amazing! i love my new piercings, they are super cute and he made me feel so comfortable. he never made me feel inferior for not having the same style as him, and he did such an amazing job of making me feel comfortable and secure with the actual piercing process. it was over before i knew it. since, i have brought three of my friends to get pierced by him and i'm still spreading the word! straight to the point is amazing!!!! the best in the business for sure!
