Strada Salon and Day Spa

I had a facial and a massage at Strada Salon & Day Spa. Whomever contributed to that decor definitely has good taste (in the spa area especially). The parking was great, the staff was really friendly and attentive when I came in. Several staff asked if I would like water, coffee or tea etc. Carolann was my therapist. What a pro. She provided one of the best experiences I have ever had. I felt like I was floating most of the time. Everything she did added to one of the best services I have had bar none. I would highly recommend her to men, women, grandmothers, sisters, brothers. I left feeling like a new person. She said very little but I found her to be a kind human being who cares about everyone of her clients from beginning to the end of your time with her. I got a gift certificate for Strada spa for my birthday and I was super excited, since it was my first time to get a massage. Carrie was sooo great, she really took her time and was very courteous, Suzi gave me a beautiful haircut and was really helpful on techniques I can do at home. Best facial and massage anywhere! I found Strada Salon on City Search. I read the reviews and decided to try Carolann because of all her great reviews. I was not disappointed. I had a facial and a massage. I have never been so relaxed and my skin felt and looked fantastic. She uses Dermalogica and is extremely knowledgeable.I would recommend her for either service. It was excellent service and she is a very friendly down to earth person. Experience definitely matters and she certainly has that plus she gives 150 percent. more

Carolann is a 3rd Degree Reiki Practicioner who is really in-tune with the energy system of the body. She has a gift for sensing what is out of balance and can focus on the cause of any problems. Her unique ability to scan the body helps pinpoint the areas of focus. I have known and worked with Carolann for over 2 years. Her gifts are truly genuine and her dedicaton to helping others is obvious. more

i recently went to visit Carolann a Reiki Master who was referred to me by a friend. I went with a migraine headache and was told Reiki might help. She was very thorough in her consultation and asked me about the history of my headaches. She stated the longer and more chronic a condition is the more difficult it is to be relieved. She made no medical claims and was very informative about her experiences with Reiki. I had an open mind and I was definitely surprized when the minute she placed her hands on my head the pain immediately began to dissipate. I became extremely relaxed and left feeling so much better. She recommended more treatments for chronic conditions and thanked me for trusting her. She stated she was trained by a LVN-RN from Stanford Medical Center and that they were now doing Reiki at the Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital. I left feeling as if I had just met a dear friend who genuinely was concerned about alleviating my discomfort. I highly recommend her for Reiki treatments. I found Carolann on another review site. She is a spa therapist and Reiki Master. I had a Reiki session from her due to ongoing chronic pain in my foot. The session was relaxing and beneficial. The pain in my foot subsided the minute she put her hands on my throbbing foot. I was astounded. I had heard she had healing hands but I was truly amazed. Reiki made me so relaxed and I felt a deep sense of tranquitty and peace. Weeks later my foot still does not give me the problems or pain it did before. I purchased a gift certifificate to have a massage from Carolann. She said it was the best massage she ever had. It was thorough, and the hot towels and heating pads were an added unexpected treat as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is one of the nicest caring practiioners I have met in a long time. more

When I go to San Jose to Visit, I always make it a point to see Eileen to get the best facial ever. I wish she lived in L.A., which iis where I live. She is so thorough and a pleasure to be with. She also uses and sells Dermalogica which is a skin care line I love. I always recommend Eileen to all my friends and clients whenever they plan at trip to the bay area. Strada Salon has a very good massage therapist in Carolann Espino. I have come in once a month over the past year plus, and have received an excellent, very consistent and relaxing massage. She has developed a 90 minute routine that is thorough, but still allows for some detailed work on areas that may need specific attention because of injury or stress. more

Eileen at Strada Day Spa is fabulous!!! She really gives an awesome Facial with all the bells and whistles!! Her Facial was very thorough complete with a Hand Neck Shoulder and Face Massage! I am so Happy I have found her and love her new Location. My skin has completely cleared up and she has me on the best professional (Dermalogica) skin care regimen... Carol Ann gave me the best facial I have ever had. It was a peaceful environment and I left relaxed. She has the ability to massage as well and her hands gave my neck and shoulders a much needed treatment. I was shopping at the mall and saw this woman with the best haircut and color.. I asked her who she went to and she said "Jamie" at Strada! I had to check her out myself... and am I sooooo glad I did! She gave me a thourgh consoltation,,,, and I cannot believe how amazing I look. I've never had this many compliments in my entire life. I had the most professional consultation done with the hair designer Jamie. I felt like she really heard me and I got above and beyond professional service. I love my hair and color! Carolann is the Simply the Best! I have gone to see her for facials and massages and it is an exquisite calming experience. After my facials, my face is simply glowing. I have really sensitive skin and she is very professional about looking at my skin and asking questions to tailor a facial especially for me addressing my skin concerns with warmth and confidence, which really puts me at ease. Actually the minute I step into her room I start to unwind, it is so tranquil and she is accomodating. Afterwards, if there is a product I asked about, and if has samples, she'll give me some to try out, she is so generous. And her massages are amazing too. Besides deep tissue, she is also very skilled at lymphatic massage, which is a real treat. I have had some challenging health issues that she has definately helped through her massage. And her personality is such a treat, she so upbeat, knowledgable and wise. I have had facials and massages from Mexico to Hawaii and she is on the top of the list, I just can't say enough good things about her and how great I feel after seeing her. Excellent experience i have had a few massages by Carolann it was wonderful. Extremely relaxing and very professional. the atmosphere as a whole, was very inviting. The rest of the staff was friendly and nice as well. I have driven to Calistoga and Napa for the same relaxing experiences I was delighted to find out that Strada Salon was in my own backyard. Recently, I had the most amazing experience at Strada salon. My girlfriend wanted me to get a pedicure, like most guys I was extremely hesitant because it's not cool. Michelle Rosendin was very service oriented, in terms of making me feel relaxed in this unique ordeal. First, she offered me a nice cold beverage, secondly she has this amazing massage chair that puts your entire body and mind at rest. Third, she tells a few jokes that are not very funny, however, I laugh because she is trying. You can never fault someone for effort. Then she proceeded with the pedicure, her hands were very soothing on my toes, she has a certain touch that makes this expierence simply serene. As, she is giving me my pedicure, she asked me if I'm comfortable, and if I need a cold beverage.She focuses on one toe at a time, and as a result my toes looked amazing. My girlfriend was extremely happy with the final product, which makes my life a lot easier, guys you know what i mean. In closing, Michelle made this experience very enjoyable, going in I was scared because it's the first time I had a pedicure. She made it a very enjoyable experience that I highly recommend. The hair salon is chaotic and I felt alot of tension from the employees .. You could cut it with a knife. After viewing the website I expected to walk in and feel very relaxed. It wasnt until I stepped into the spa that I felt any relaxation. The massage from the therapist was good but the noise coming from the room next door kept me from relaxing. I heard muffled talking throughout the treatment and there was no shower facility. I visited previously over a year ago and was not as dissapointed by my previous spa service. Strada Salon has a wonder and relaxing atmosphere. I have seen both Jan for facials and Jennifer (the owner) for hair, several times, and each has been consistantly wonderful. I had actually stopped having facials quite sometime ago because I was not impressed, THEN I met Jan. When you walk into her room the atmosphere is very soothing which just adds to the experience of the facial, of course most of the time I end up falling asleep at some point because it is so relaxing, but for the times I am awake I throughly enjoy my time there and I get to enjoy the mini foot massage she provides while I have my mask on! Never realize just how neglected my feet are until Jan reminds me with her mini foot massage, I NEED to schedule a session with Jan just for my feet! My experiences with Jennifer have been great. I am at a point in my life where I just don't know what I want to do with my hair. She has been very patient and has asked and listened to my "bad" hair stories. And if by chance my color isn't quite what I thought I needed, she has been more than willing to make suggestions and adjust accordingly. As the ower of Strada, I feels as though Jennifer goes out of her way to provide a salon with a comfortable atmosphere as well as trained individuals. In short I would highly recommend Strada Salon & Day Spa, and even though I have not worked with everyone there, I beleive all that do, do so and simply add to a satisfying experience. If you go to this spa, do NOT ask for a massage from Jan. Or anything from her for that matter. She was snotty and unfriendly during my appointment. She sneered at my skin care regimen, but did not bother to offer any better suggestions, criticized my skin and couldn't make conversation to save her life. And that was just during the facial! She told me I would just love her foot massage, but how could I tell when it lasted all of 3 minutes? She obviously has no formal massage training, or she would know you massage MUSCLE, not bones. Her technique was irratic, going over my biceps 6 times (I counted) but barely addressing my feet (although she made a show of washing them, but then didn't do anything else. They're clean and well cared for, so it wasn't a cleanliness issue). It was not relaxing at all. I told her not to get any oil in my hair, as I was going out to dinner later, and she ignored me and rubbed her oily hands all through my hair (even though she said she'd wash them off first). This spa is clearly added on as an afterthought to this salon to make money. I'm not sure about their other employees, but Jan clearly doesn't have the required education for massage. When I went to pay, she curtly informed me she doesn't take credit cards, but that wasn't mentioned before. She was rude, snotty and untrained. My cat gives me better massages when he walks across my back. If you want a relaxing, rejuvinating spa experience, I suggest you try somewhere other than this spa. DISAPPOINTING!
