Located in Red Wing, a small town with little in the way of cuisine, the Staghead is a gem. They serve excellent food (I had a salad with chicken, pineapple, nuts on a bed of greens, my wife had the spaghetti) and have a spectacular selection of draft beer for such a town of only about 15,000. Expect to see Maredsous, Bell's, Big Sky, Pilsner Urquell, Ace Pear Cider, etc... They also have a wine selection for those who don't enjoy specialty beer.
The ambiance is very cozy, a long semi-dark room with brick walls and artwork hanging about. It has a tin ceiling and hardwood floors which can cause it to be a bit loud when busy. This place notes themselves as having ""No Ashtray's, No Burgers"", so sorry smokers, you'll have to step outside.
Pros: ambience, beer selection, good food
Cons: a bit pricey, can get noisy
