I have a chance to visit Red Wing approximately six times a year. The highlight of each visit is dinner at the Staghead. The food is always exceptional and the wine and beer lists suberb. I was mortified by the negative review from stoner1971 until I actually read it. Then it dawned on me that fine dining to that young man must come in the form of yellow arches. The Staghead does not serve any food from a deep fryer, they actually prepare it fresh. They have never had coleslaw, ever (I called and asked the chef). The Staghead is not kid friendly with respect to the kind of foods served, however, if you care about feeding yourself and your children delicious food, you will be highly pleased.
Pros: Wonderful warm ambience
Cons: Small, only seats about 75-80
