Okay so for the record, I never ever write online reviews... but when you receive great service and a great price that goes beyond a normal expectation, one has to give credit where credit is due. Recently was I aware that i was in need of glasses... and frankly the idea of going into a business and not being exactly sure of what I was looking for was quite overwhelming. To my surprise, my experience was quite the opposite. I met the sales reps at Spectacle and they were accommodating, helpful, and yet never overbearing! What a relief! Being a girl, I need another female's perspective- and they never gave the impression of the typical 'nose in the air salesperson'. No words can express my amazement with the Spectacle Shoppe. I recently purchased two pairs of stylish glasses from the Spec Shoppe, which gave a sense of a refined elegance. Somehow the design of your glasses transforms your image, as well as others' perception of you. I like my new look in them, it encourages me to be a better dresser, and to look more streamlined. Due to its location, and their amazing merchandise, I foresee myself giving them a lot of my business in the future. more

They were quick and they were able to make new lenses for glasses that LensCrafters wouldn't touch because they didn't sell them and claimed they'd not be able to make the lenses in the proper shape. And, did I mention quick? They did this in a day... actually, in 2 hours. So, at least for my drill-through style lenses, coming up here made a huge difference in turnaround time. more

I had so much fun with the staff there. All of their glasses are super cool and unique. It was priced so that even my small income could afford to buy a fashionable pair of glasses. more

I visited both the New Brighton location and the location in Burnsville Center. First of all, the selection was awesome, second of all, the staff was so helpful and attentive. They offer so many touches that you would never expect form an optical store. I received a phone call five days after my purchase that my glasses were ready to be picked up. Great service! more

Staff was great and I loved the style they helped me to pick. I recieved a lot of compliments. \r \r But the glasses themselves were not great. I bought them in Dec. 2008 for around $700.00. The lenses (Optical Technician Corp.) warped badly and the anti-reflective coating was very hazy and by Dec. 2010 I had them replaced at my normal eye doctor's store. Then in March 2011, the frames broke in half at the nose piece (brand was Etnia - Telaviv). more

\r I have been a customer of theirs for many, many years. Over those years I have spent alot of money in their store and I was severely disappointed in the customer service and material shenanigans that they had played on me. I paid for high index lenses and in the end they put in polycarbonate lenses and tried to pass them off as high index. Having called them on it...the tech and manager said that the polycarbonate lenses was comparable in price to the high index lenses. Any normal person whose worn glasses for most of their life knows that polycarbonate lenses are more than half the cost of high index and are used for mostly children's frames because they are durable. However when you pay for scratch coatings and antireflective coatings these coatings will not hold up over time on a polycarbonate lenses. Essentially the Spectacle Shoppe was trying to pull the wool over my eyes and rip me off. Their customer service was horrible! I had to call each time to find out the status of my glasses and contacts. I am deeply disappointed that this once grand eyewear store has stooped to such levels as trying to deceive their long standing repeat business customers. It's very unfortunate that it has come down to this. So buyer beware....you may not be getting what you really paid for. \r more

I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 2nd grade. I am now 62. The one and only place I shop and \r have shopped for many,many years is the Spectacle Shoppe! You could spend an entire day in their shops \r just trying on glasses. Their friendly and knowlegeable\r staff is THE BEST!!! If I just want to browse, I do, if I want\r help they are ready and happy to help me. I have shopped\r the New Brighton store for years, but now they have opened a store in Rogers, near my home. Style, service\r and value they have it all. If I need an adjustment they\r do it with a smile and a kind word. I do, and will continue to recommend the Spectacle Shoppe to \r everyone that I know. Go in and see for yourself. You'll\r be happy you did! more

I have never had such an amazing experience purchasing eye glasses! I have NEVER seen such a HUGE selection of eye glasses in my life! The staff is so much fun and knew exactly the best look for my face. When we were done I was given a rose. What a treat. \r \r Pros: Very Knowledgeable Cons: Nothing! Awesome customer service more
