I have been a customer of theirs for many, many years. Over those years I have spent alot of money in their store and I was severely disappointed in the customer service and material shenanigans that they had played on me. I paid for high index lenses and in the end they put in polycarbonate lenses and tried to pass them off as high index. Having called them on it...the tech and manager said that the polycarbonate lenses was comparable in price to the high index lenses. Any normal person whose worn glasses for most of their life knows that polycarbonate lenses are more than half the cost of high index and are used for mostly children's frames because they are durable. However when you pay for scratch coatings and antireflective coatings these coatings will not hold up over time on a polycarbonate lenses. Essentially the Spectacle Shoppe was trying to pull the wool over my eyes and rip me off. Their customer service was horrible! I had to call each time to find out the status of my glasses and contacts. I am deeply disappointed that this once grand eyewear store has stooped to such levels as trying to deceive their long standing repeat business customers. It's very unfortunate that it has come down to this. So buyer beware....you may not be getting what you really paid for. \r
