Spec's Liquor

This place is a warehouse full of food and liquor, simple as that. Any drink you could want (gin, vodka, whiskey, beer, wine) you will not be disappointed with the selection. The prices are about on par or a little about your grocery store price for the same item, but they probably have 20 items per category your store doesn't have. And they have a bunch of great edible treats as well! more

The only complains I've heard about this place are about it being too big. The selections is certainly huge but if you know what you like and want more than the usual store can offer, this is the place. It's also great if you're trying to pick up something to eat with your booze. more

Best liquor/wine store I have ever had the pleasure to shop in. Great selection, knowledgeable staff, friendly and FREEBIES! Love the international food section, I can always find great gifts and restock my pantry. more

The Wal-Mart of the sprits world, I will admit that Spec's downtown has a huge selection of products especially on wines. But it lacks helpful people I'm not an expert on sprits but I do know a thing or two and when I was trying to get a question answered by one of there employees they didn’t know the answer or could not give me a way to mix a particular drink. Not to mention that they seem to pride themselves on having the cheapest prices which is also not true on major brands like Crown & Jack they do but you have to pay cash. I guess that’s how they get you to think that there so cheap. I went to a local Fiesta Beverage Mart and got better service from the staff and also noticed that they were cheaper and I did not have to pay cash since they have the same price for cash or credit. If I need to get wine Specs would probably be my first choice but for service and good prices on sprits I noticed I am better of at Fiesta. Not to mention that there staff kept on forcing me to switch my sprit of choice to some brand that I had never heard of and told me that it was made by the same company but made only for them. (I guess there generic brand) I tell you one thing ill stick with what I drink not some generic brand. more

this place has everything imaginable. i went with my mom the first time. she says her wine is cheaper here than anywhere else in town. i was amazed at all the different kinds of cheese they had. they had brands i had never even heard of. but really it was like a world market with all the differnt varieties of everything they carried. also they helped load it into her car you do not find that many places anymore. more

Specs not only has a gigantic selection of wines and beers from across the world, they have a supermarket section with foods from across the world! Specs has all kinds of flavorful coffees and teas. You can choose your favorite and they will grind it on the spot if you wish. There is a deli in the back where you can get a sandiwch with gourmet meats and cheeses. Delicious! more
