I recently had the opportunity to have Brandon work on an old pair of bookshelf speakers - an old set of Optimus ones from Radio Shack of all places. This guy is The Bomb! I have an old pair of Bowers & Wilkins speakers. I called B&W and they no longer had parts for my woofers. They recommended that I bring my speakers into Brandon's shop because one of his specialties is repairing discontinued B&W's. These speakers originally cost around $3000. Brandon fixed my speakers for a little more than $100.00 and they sound just like they did the day I bought them. WOW! Thank you so much Brandon! more

I had a pair of vintage JBL cabinets in which the speakers needed to be reconed. I called Jbl and they no longer had parts for them. I called around and the only person that said they could do them was Brandon at Speaker Repair in Denver, Co.. Brandon reconed my woofers and was able to rebuild one tweeter from scratch. My speakers sound and look fantastic for the first time in 15 years. Great job and he gave me a hell of a deal!! more

I brought a pair of Urei 809A Monitors in for a re-edge (AKA Refoam) job. I get the call to pick them up -- no mention of anything amiss... just, your job is complete, please pick up at your leisure. \r \r I notice that there is a 1"" tear on the edge moving toward the center of one of the cones (that no one had the decency to mention)\r \r I refuse the pick up at that point. Mr Phillips calls me and tells me that tearing the edge of the cone during a refoam is somewhat a common occurance that it will not effect the sonics of the loudspeakers. He says this without ever seeing the refoam job done my his employee. He also refuses to correct the problem (again without ever seeing how badly his employee messed up my JBL drivers). He takes the $15 dollar labor charge off and still charges me $90 for the materials (which btw cost ~$20 on Ebay if you are buying single refoam sets. \r \r So in essence, I paid them to devalue the Urei 809A monitors. \r \r The owner of SoundTown (where Phillips' shop is) described the cone tear as ""BRUTAL"" as I was picking them up after recieving no comfort from earlier conversation with Mr Phillips. I requested that he meet me down at his shop sometime this week so that he could see the quality of job his employees were doing in town, he flat out refused to meet me at the shop, at any time, to inspect the job.
