The Scene
This large, bright space offers natural beauty products in the front and treatments in the back. What was originally envisioned as a simple wellness store--featuring whatever fit owner Nettie Paisley's "mission of spirituality"--has grown and changed based on neighborhood feedback and demand. Now you'd be just as likely to enjoy a jazz concert, cooking or belly-dancing class as a body massage.
The Services
In the front, browse a smattering of natural products, handmade soaps, and generic accessories like oil burners, books and CDs. Standouts include the delicious house beauty line--featuring unique "push-up" lotion sticks in scents like "Grandma's Kitchen"--and bundles of loose herbs like chickweed, slippery elm and hops. Reiki (by certified master Paisley), facials (by daughter Tierra), and various styles of massage are performed in makeshift cubicles in the back, separated from the retail area by just an open archway. Call for class and event schedules.
