Smile Specialists - Dr. Marvin Lagstein, DMD

Do not go here!!! The people there including the doctors are all practicing on you. You are literally paying to be practiced on. These doctors go there for 2 years and then leave and you are left to be seen by the new doctor...what that means? They are experimenting on you when you think you are almost done with your treatment they mess up something else. They dont really know what they are doing. Once they have your money you are on your own. Go at your own risk to give your money away. And the assistants beware most of them are the receptionists that have decided to become assistant and believe me they make tons of mistakes in your mouth. They are all smiles at the beginning but complain about your treatment you will remember this review. This place is horrible. And they don't care about their patients. DR.Lagstein is a con and a liar. And he is just a dentist not an Orthodontist he is taking people's money with fake and empty promises. When you confront him he becomes a different person defensive and talking over you. All those good reviews many of them are fake written by his own staff or himself. Don't believe the hype. Not one star should be given. Hopefully someone can read this and do their due research. And spare giving away their hard earned money and safe yourself from unnecessary pain and headaches not to mention to have teeth worst than before. If I would have had a hint of an idea of what I would have gone through before going here I would have not gone there to get those so call "fast braces" (which are not really fast and mess up your teeth I so regret it. You have been warned.?? more

Marvin Lagstein is a very hostile man. His office us a very unsafe hostile environment. His NOT an orthodontist he has lied to the public. He will take your hard earned money for permanent straight teeth with a life time warranty and you will only get a temporary results until your teeth starts moving around very painfully. He made up every excuses in his book of lies and deceit to get me to give up and go away. Please file complaints on this thief butcher! more

Took 11 months to do something he quoted 7-8 months. Shaved my teeth down to get them to move faster which gave me tooth sensitivity that I did not have before. Promised a whitening gel after braces were off that I still haven't received 2 months later. Took 4 visits to get retainers fitting properly. I initially walked in for an invisalign consultation and walked out with brackets. He's a salesman. more

Dr. Lagstein sold me a pack of lies for 6k. 1. I paid Dr. Lagstein close to 6k to straighten my teeth in 6months which took more than a year. 2. He claims the reason why treatment is so expensive is because my teeth has a life time warranty. (Lies) my teeth moved after treatment and he refused to fix it. Futhermore my bite is off and now I have headaches, ear pain and poping of the jaw. 3. Very unprofessional and VERY DISHONEST. Save your money. He sells you a pack of dreams to which he can not and refuses to deliver. more

I never ever write reviews for anything. i was in disbelief at first so I had asked for referrals to 10 clients and all clients were happy during their treatment however... I was the unlucky client. My teeth for the first 2 months were beautiful and I had comments on how straight they WERE. The months after that.... If it wasn't my front tooth pulled down longer than the rest, it was my top row of teeth way too pull out on an angle and my bottom teeth shifted in different directions. Every month they promised to fix it but by the end of my 6 months my final results were deffinetly not the straight teeth I was so impressed with my first 2 months. I was so frustrated at why no one could make them straight like they WERE?! I decided to switch my dentist finally and they have given me a bit of a refund.. I should've received 70% back because of the waste of time, pain I been having for misplaced teeth and Not having the guaranteed straight teeth. I guess I was the guinea pig, taken advantage of. And I have pictures to prove the progress of each month... They take your money and don't really care to fix it. PRO: Tonya was my favorite person. She is so friendly and has a fun personality. Friendly staff overall. It was too good to be true. more

I really don't find any problems with this place because everyone there is working very hard to make sure we they customers are happy everything we visit or at home so I give them 100. more

I don't take the time to write reviews but for this place i had to,I went in for a consultation- EVERY staff was welcoming and treated you at their 100%. They may just do it for their check but they genuinely made you feel like their work place was home. I read reviews where these braces behind your teeth don't work and it's a scam but I put my trust in this Doctor. more

Dr. Marvin Lagstein has a horrible practice they are all rude. They pretend to be nice to get your business, but they are nothing but shady salesman who have a hard time returning your money. After I told them I no longer think I will be able to begin the process they refused to give me back my deposit saying it was non-refundable and then took more money out of my account the next month after my visit claiming that it was a " computer glitch" even after I very sternly explained to them that I wanted nothing more to do with them. These people do not care about the patient they care about the MONEY!! more

I just came back from having my teeth cleaned and it was the best experience I ever had. They Always have very nice dental hygienist ,but today I had the most sweetest. And most patient hygienist it wAs the most pleasant experience I ever had, and it is very unusual to say that about a teeth cleaning. more
