Nasty 7/25/2009

No way would I eat at this place again. The plates they served us on were dirty. The overcooked steak they brought me after we complained about the dirty plates tasted like they had dragged it across a dirty, mildewy floor. To top it, we had a booth full of fogies behind us and when they left one of them farted their excellent Sizzler meal as he went past our booth and it lingered there forever. The only thing sizzling about the place is the stench of it. more

Not the classiest place in town. 7/5/2005

Wow, I don't think I have read so much anger and hatred about a restauraunt in my life! Sizzler is okay, and at times it is a little slow, but overall it is decent. The Salad Bar is great, sometimes the steaks are good, and usually the service is acceptable. It just depends on where you go. In Idaho they are way better than Utah. I agree the comercials are a little corney and laughable. Pros: Salad Bar, Fast Cons: Cafeteria feel, Pricey more

Poor service in Orem! 2/7/2003

I used to be a big fan of Sizzler restauarants. Unfortunately I have had too many bad experiences at the Orem location. I went there with my Wife one evening and was served fries that were as stiff and cold as cardboard. When I asked for some fresher fries, I got the same fries back, only this time they had been reheated in a microwave. The employees were very loud in the kitchen area as well. We heard all! The restaurant did not seem to be run in a very professional manor. Pros: good location Cons: poor service more

Overly-priced, average, bland food for the typical Utah masses! Sizzler has no personanlity, plus you can't even get a beer to go with your piece of grilled shoe leather. I'm ashamed to live in a city that votes for any national chain in this catagory! more

Yes, we Utahns have no class! We don't have any nice restaurants! And good thing! With the large families we have, we can't afford anything but sizzler! Utah has incredible places to eat! We have places with ambiance, incredible food, fabulous wines, and everything else you look for in a great dining place! How the HELL did this get on the best list????? Oh my, whomever voted Sizzler as one of the best restaraunts has got to be the most sheltered people-I personally see Sizzler to be trashy, the food isn't anything great, and the restaraunt itself is a mess. The commercials are enough to make me never want to go there. What are you people thinking? more

Sounds like Sizzler paid off their employees to flood citysearch with votes! NOBODY in their right mind would EVER consider Sizzler as a ""Best"" restaurant. Maybe go there for lunch, but you can get cheaper and better many other places. Pros: lots of choices, quick lunch Cons: bland, expensive, ho hum more

One of SLC top thirteen restaraunts? Who votes for these things? I think a bunch of dopey sizzler employees have been votin up there restaraunt. Me I wouldnt go in there unless I traded my house for a mobile home and bought me a rusty ole truck. This just goes to show the type of people we have living in Utah when a cheap, third-rate restaurant like Sizzler makes it in the top ten. Is this becuase the majority of the poulation is taking all 10 of their kids to dinner and are picking a place soley on price?! Sizzler is a chain establishment serving cheap steaks and even cheaper sea-food - GROSS! Chili's is a better restaurant for crying out loud. more

OK but definitely not Top 10 9/11/2002

This is good lunch fare. Quick enough for lunch, especially if the diner gets the salad bar only. However, I wouldn't classify Sizzler in the Top 10 in Salt Lake City. The entrees are small and regular, but good enough for a hungry worker. For dinner, the steak portions are small, and overpriced for the limited service format. Plus, the TV spots for Sizzler are uninspiring. Pros: fast, close by, inexpensive Cons: small portions, limited service, average taste more

Buffet?? When I go to a buffet I want a full buffet, not a salad bar. If this is the best buffet in Utah, we've got a lot of work to do. Call it a nice salad bar. and I agree it fills the bill. Most people eating at the Sizzler get the ""salad bar"" as an add-on to their meal. Not even Sizzler calls it a buffet! What can I say... I have been eating here most of my life. Everyone has come to love Sizzler for good food and a great price. Is it a 5 star restaurant? No. But it is fast, High quality and affordable. I can't take my family to a high end place where usually the food is not a enough to eat at 4 times the price. 5 stars? not for me.
