Six Acres Nursery

Six Acres offers a great nursery / preschool experience for children ages 2.9 (I think) up to kindergarten-age. They have two-day, three-day, and five-day options. Like most other nursery schools, the core hours are 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. (11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. for afternoon classes), but they also offer an extended day program from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. I found this a big help in getting my son ready for Medford's full-day kindergarten program. The facility is clean, bright, and welcoming. Each class has its own classroom, some of which are connected for larger group activities. They have a large, well-appointed, fenced-in playground. They also have a fantastic "activity room," complete with a large but safe climbing structure, where the kids can play on rainy days. more

Camp Six Acres is located at 475 Winthrop St in Medford MA 02155 This will be there 47th season offering summer daytime camp for children. Ages are 6-13 and have lots of fun things to do all summer long. There is Red Cross Certified swimming in the new ingound pool,great during the hot humid summer days. They play sports at the park located right next to the Temple. One added plus for parents whom need to work long hours is they offer extended hours from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM. The staff to children ratio is small so the children get more one on one attention. There is always an end of the summer kids carnival with a moon bounce and BBQ more
