This definitely a step up from Denny's or an IHOP. Prices are VERY fair, casual 90's mountain atmoshphere is good, but I think that I ordered the wrong dish. I was impressed that they have Coke Zero (for the girl who refuses to believe that she's on a ""diet""). I ordered the Belgian Waffle Breakfast, and let's just say that there's a lot of room for improvement. I hsve ordered some breakfast burritos. This seems like a specialty for them, so shame on me for not realizing small detail. I was cofused by the condiments, because it appeared that the only ""salsa"" choices are super hot or pico de gallo (which the pico was more like chopped onions with some red and green stuff for decoration). There was a greenish yellow sauce in between them that was not labeled, so maybe that was the mild salsa? Service was very friendly, but moving at a glacial pace (10+ minutes), which I thought was weird given the fact that I was the only patron dining in that morning. Several people came in for pick up orders, so I guess tht's the real draw...breakfast burritos to go. I did enjoy seeing the extensive playground adjacent to the restaurant, so I assume that's provided by the restaurant. more

One of the best burgers in town! For a lot less than you would expect to pay you get a very generous sized tasty burger and their battered fries are delicious. The owner is personable and takes care of the customer. My family and I are now regular customers. Thanks for the great food, price and service Silver Grill Cafe! more

We decided to visit Silver Grill wtih the Living Social offer. We were very pleased with our food. We had Migas and they were outstanding. The salsa was wonderful - nice and thick, but not too chunky. Also ordered the chicken fried steak with 2 sides. The food was great. The steak was a very large portion which hubby loved. The side dishes were very skimpy. We will definately be back. more

I work up the road so we visit Silver Grill at least 3 times a week. Whether it be the hamburger lunch special or the house salad, everything taste great! And the breakfast tacos (which are served all day) are awesome and huge. The atmosphere is great, food is hot and fast, the owner is always there asking how your meal was. They also have great coupon specials on their website. You can't go wrong! more

Since my move to Austin in September I've been on a permanent hunt for great food...and J&J is on my top 5, hands down!\r \r Even though I haven't actually tried their BBQ, I know I can count on them for that perfect homemade burger, delicious fried shrimp, yummy mac and cheese....not to mention their awesome French fries that remind me of your favorite hole-in-the-wall fish place - extra fried, extra crunchy, but still no lack of potatoes which helps with the guilt factor!\r \r And their breakfast...where do I begin? Whether I just want a good homemade taco (ask for an extra tortilla – they are thick!), a kick ass Belgium waffle, or great hangover food - like migas (and, yes, it's just as good as my Mexican family makes it) - I know I can count on J&J...anytime of the day!\r \r They are less than a block away from me and this would be a deciding factor on me ever moving - i love them that much!\r more

We have visited a few times and always had a great experience. They have wonderful breakfast tacos. The BBQ is great too. They have delicious vegetables, brisket, and burgers. Pros: Awesome customer service and staff more

It was mine and my boyfriend's first time at J&J's. We had a coupon for ""Buy 3 tacos, get 4th one free"". We ordered 2 carne guisadas and 2 beef fajitas with cheese to go. The cheese is 50 cents extra per taco. We were told they were out of carne guisada so we both got chorizo, egg, and cheese. Before leaving we checked our bag and only had THREE tacos. We said we were short a taco and were told ""You only paid for three"". DUH! The fourth one is free. We said we had a coupon and there's also a big sign out front saying ""Buy 3 tacos, get 4th free"". We were told ""Ok, but I could get in trouble for doing this"" which we totally didn't understand. We got home and our tacos were without cheese! SOOO AGGRAVATING!!! My boyfriend called and complained and they took his phone number and said on our next visit he'd be comped for free cheese...big deal! The food was good but the service sucked! We may go back and try them again for lunch, but if not, no big loss. Pros: Good tacos Cons: Incompetent service staff more
