Best salon in the city 5/11/2010

I went in for a blow dry and the staff was so friendly, they greet you at the door, the shampoo girls conversate with you and complament you. Lana was the woman that blow dried my hair and she super friendly. I asked her about my hair color and her Consultation was so good that I went back for my color and I'm inlove with it! I also do my eyebrows with irena. She's so gentle and she does a perfect job. Over all Shear Bliss is a great experience and you totaly getting your moneys worth thank you lana and the whole staff for making me feel beautiful and welcome more

Lanna is absolutely AMAZING =D 5/11/2010

I have been coming to lanna for about 4 years. Lanna does my highlights, single process, hair cuts, blowdry's and of course my brazillian treatment. She is amazing at all of that and way more. Since the 1st day she put her magical hands on my hair I've got nothing but compliments on it. Not only does she do my hair but also my family and friends. I promise to never cheat on you. Highly recommend shear bliss to anyone who wants perfect hair from hair cuts to the brazillian treatment they are GREAT! They're attention is amazing, you get greeted well the minute you walk in that door. I have to say they are incredible when it comes to style your hair and their price are affordable. was extremely please with the services my husband and I received at the spa. I am now going to continue to go a monthly basis for my facials and massages. The faciliy was very serene, beautiful and clean ( like no others). although we arrived late the greeting receptionists were very accommodating. It was my husband's first visit to a solon and they were very patient with him and they made him to be like at home. the staff was very personable and knowledgeable. Great salon and stylists 4/9/2010

This is a great hair salon! I've been going there for the past two years, ever since I've moved into the area. I've been getting my hair done by Coco, and she is great! She has given me trims, highlights, and even did my hair for my wedding - my hair always looks beautiful, and everyone asks me where I got it done. Average salon, premium pricing 4/6/2010

Just to add my two cents, I went to this salon for a cut and blow out and was told it would cost $65, it cost$135!? I was very, very disappointed. The cut was poor, they just trimmed my hair, they added no texture or volume, and the blow out lasted only an hour on a dry day. And yes they really do cheat you at the door. I didn't think places could still do that with sites like this and general trade standards, but they do. It leaves you with a very bitter taste in your mouth. I would not recommend going. Mean & Nasty 3/31/2010

Nastiest, cheapest run place I have ever been, and I been to some bad hair salons. Staff are gossipy, ugly and crude, and they did not know what to do with my gorgeous thick latina hair. Its not even very curly, just thick and long, but i walked out looking a hot mess. How do you open a hair salon in NYC and not be able to do a blow-out? LOVE COCO 3/30/2010

I started going to COCO about 5 years ago, when I graduated hs. She is the only person I allow to cut my hair. She has cut it and highlighted it in the past 5 years. I leave feeling confident and vibrant. Shear Bliss has a amicable atmosphere- all of their stylist are really good. God awful & they cheat you. 3/23/2010

I walked past, just moved to the area, had an hour, and had my hair blown out. The price stated, as other reviews said, was so not the price paid. They said ""$25"" and charged me $70, for a blowout? Also the woman at the front desk is a horror (that's the nicest way to say it). The attitude in the salon is so slack, people just sitting around, apparently just waiting to take your money for jack. Don't go, I have spoken to many friends who also live in the area and they all agree that the place is a scam, and avoid it like the plague. Just wish they had told me before right!? We all think the salon write their own good reviews, as no-one I know is happy with this dump, or their crappy service and blatant over-charging. Pros: Nice bathroom Cons: Everything else more

""Heart"" of gold! 3/21/2010

I'm a male and I went here at random. I wanted a new hairstyle, but I couldn't describe what I wanted. The stylist, whose name is ""Heart,"" brought me a book, and I found something I liked. My hair is very fine and notoriously hard to cut. I usually am satisfied for about a week and then I wear a hat all the time. Well, I've never left after a haircut looking or feeling this good in at least 10 years! I'm not kidding! I keep going back to the mirror and loving this haircut! It's way beyond my expectations! It wasn't expensive either. I'm thrilled and I'll be going back. Thank-you! Pros: Reasonably priced and courteous staff! Cons: Non that I can think of! more

The best highlights I had ever had. Paper thin sections and so neat. My hair was damaged and burnt by other salons. Now my hair has natural shine and its finaly growing healthy. Don't ever leave without him blow drying your hair cause that's amazing too. It lasts the longest The quality of the work is highly recommended more
