SHOPPING FOR 10 YEARS 8/11/2009

I have been shopping at Sandy's for at least 10 years. On my first visit Sandy LOANED me her own personal copy of a pet book. We had never met she had only faith that I would ever return her book!!! I shop every other month for my 5 cats and buy many cases at a time. They always carry my purchases to my car. As others have stated I've found them knowledgable and extremely helpful. Can't find what you want just ask. If they don't have they can usually get it. more

High Maintenance Dog 9/5/2008

I have dealt with Sandy's Pet Nutrition for nearly 15 years now. I have a very sickly cocker spaniel with numerous allergies and "issues" who requires very specific foods and treats. The staff at Sandy's is extremely knowledgeable about ALL of the products on the shelves, takes the time to talk with you and figure out which product would be best suited for the issue at hand, and remembers the next time I come in what worked for us, and what didn't! I can even send another family member to the store for me to pick up my dog's food and treats without telling them the specific name of the product....the staff just needs the name of my dog and knows what to send home! more

Very helpful 12/26/2007

I find Sandy's Pet Nutrition to be a great place to shop for my beloved dog. They were very helpful in ordering the particular raw food that I feed her and they even give me a discount when buying by the case. I call on Wednesday and the food is there on Friday. They ALWAYS carry it to the car for me even though I am capable of doing so myself. That's the kind of service you don't get from the huge pet stores. \r \r They are a small store and therefore can't carry everything but I find that what they do carry is good quality. more

Not the best, but not the worst either 5/31/2005

Staff is very knowledgeable, if a bit off-putting. They're not the friendliest and there is a judgmental air about them. Good selection of food, and staff can give good recs. Frozen food available. Willing to special order. Prices are reasonable. Their toy, bone and treat selection is not as good as other independents. Occasionally have used crates that are a good value. Hours are very inconvenient. Forget about them offering to carry any bags out to your car. more
