I placed my order last night online for a beautiful ""Money Tree"" in a black lacquer square low profile vase with moss and river stones for a co-worker's birthday (to be delivered today at work).\r
I received a phone call this morning from the store asking me if I would change my mind and choose a basket of plants instead. I told the lady I chose this design specifically for the personality, as it fit. A basket is the furthest from her personality. She was gruff and said she could get one in 20 minutes and hung up. That was at 10:37 am.\r
At 3 pm, the plant arrives. It is in a terra cotta upright pot, which is chipped on the edge. There is gravel that has been sprayed glued down and a hole dug on one side for watering. A cheesy butterfly on a wire has been shoved into the hole. This is a COUNTRY plant, not the beautiful Asian Zen plant advertised on the website.\r
When I call to tell her everything that is wrong with my order, and that it has already been given to the birthday girl, she wants to send someone to pick it up. I tell her it never should have been sent in this condition in the first place and it looked nothing like the website. As I am looking at the website, she has removed the photo of the plant (the spot is a blank box now) and offers me a $15 discount instead.\r
According to their guarantee:\r
""f you are not satisfied with the purchased FTD product, we will send a replacement or refund the full purchase price. All you need to do is notify us within 10 days of receipt of your FTD order. You may call, come in person, or write to us.""\r
No replacement was offered, only to remove the one that was delivered so she could re-pot it in a vase that was still not the one on the website. She never offered a full refund because, and I quote ""the goods were already delivered"". \r
I have used Teleflora/FTD w/o incident for years until today.
