It used to be that Sams Sneads was a place to go for a nice lunch. Not so much anymore.
Sam Sneads is located on the Navy Marine Corp Golf Course and therefore has the beautiful lanai view of the course. The lanai catches an awesome tradewind and it is a really nice atmosphere for lunch and dinner also.
The menu at Sams is your traditional restuarant menu, sandwhiches, burgers, steaks, salads. The food is usually really good, especially when considering the price.
The problem though is with the service. Sam Sneads has some of the worst service I have seen and lately that makes me not want to go even though I am addicted to their Buffalo Shrimp (which are excellent!). The service is slow, the tables aren't bussed quickly at all, so you end up with a nice view of the golf course and everyone's leftovers from a hour before you. Yuck.
If it weren't for the bad service, Sam Sneads would be a 5 star for me. The service unfortunately knocks it down to a 2. :(
