Excellent Customer Service and Highly Skilled Employees 7/18/2008

I have been going to Salon Spa And Venessa for couple of years now, and am shocked at some of the negative reviews written below. I have always had a wonderful experience there, have been treated with the upmost respect by all of the staff. In particular, the receptionists Nichole and Natalie and manager Katie have always been professional, polite and prompt with regards to checking me in and checking me out. Amy and Erin have done my hair, and I have been floored with the expertise they hold without the pretentious attitude that can sometimes be found in such places. Salon Spa And Venessa is in a beautiful, historical building with amazing energy and is a treasure in and of itself. The staff and wonderful customer service are merely icing on the cake. I highly recommend this salon to anyone and everyone looking for anything from a haircut to a massage to manicures and pedicures. Pros: Excellent Customer Service, Highly Skilled Hairstylists, Beautiful Historical Landmark Cons: Can potentially be a bit pricey more

BEST Salon & Spa in Metro Atlanta!!!!! 7/3/2008

WOW - this is the best Salon and Spa in all of Metro Atlanta. I recently moved here from FL. and went to Salon and Spa Veneesa on a recommendation. The stylist was Susan she was wonderful. I have never had a compliment on my hair in 5 yrs. from my husband and he was actually excited and loved what Susan had doen with my hair. She is always on time, never had me reschedule and very personable and professional. Susan was very informative about my options for highlights and she gave me a new urban & updated cut! THANK YOU SUSAN. The front desk girls have always been able to fit me in on short notice (when possible) and they seem to know a lot about the Aveda products - which I love. Amy did my facial and she was very gentle and I loved the waxing job she did on my brows/lip. The therapists are very experienced - you will not find any better! The owner is always working and seems very nice. Never had any concerns with Salon Vanessa - I highly recommend this place and especially Susan she is experienced and informative. Pros: Experienced, Friendly, Up-to-date on latest styles and techniques Cons: NONE more

I finally found one!! 3/27/2008

Lauren. I found Waleska through a friend of mine in Bridgemill who found her by running into her at Target! It was a stroke of luck. I was upset as well. She has her own home based business in Holly Springs and it is really nice and professional. I think she is still working on her new website, but I can give you her number. (I called her and she said it was ok.) Its 404.668.3532. I have been to her three times now, and always completely pleased. Good luck in finding the other girl! This will probably delete my other posting but its worth it. Its the end of June when I wrote this. Pros: Was a nice place to go. Cons: Good people dont' stay! more

I looked her up in the phone book, (she was listed fortunately). She went to Azure Salon in Canton, 770-345-8280. I have seen her twice and she is great as usual. I would expect nothing less from her. more

She's gone?????????? 12/18/2007

What the he--. I booked an appointment with my old esthetician only to find out she had been gone for over a month and moved to another spa. I could understand if she left after my appointment was booked (3 days before my appointment) but a month ago? Come on. Don't lie to people. To top it off they wanted to charge me anyway (I didn't get a service from the other girl) because I didn't cancel within 24 hours. The manager (that?s a stretch) finally broke down and admitted she had been told to lie about it by the owner! Seems to me ethics is an after though for these idiots. Won?t be back to get my hair done either Erin. I see now why the other reviewer had a hard time contacting the owner. more

Looking for a new you??? 11/28/2007

I had been wearing the same look for the past 10 years. I started going to see Erin there a few months ago and she started encouraging me to change up my look a little. I went in with a picture and had an awesome make over last week !! I have never felt better and all my friends and family are shocked that I changed and tell me I have never looked so beautiful. I look just like the picture I took in. My color is incredible and I am one happy client. I have sent several of my friends in as well and they love it here as well. The facials are incredible as well. I cant wait to try out the rest of the spa. Pros: Ambience , great coffee, great service and skill. more

Absolutely wonderful experience - every time - by every staff member -- exceptional. 9/29/2007

Going to Salon & Spa Venessa is one way I take care of me in wonderful ways, always. My husband and I have been lucky to be clients since Venessa was in her original location. The staff from the receptionists, to the stylists, to the spa technicians, to the owner herself (Venessa Lanier) are knowledgeable and highly skilled. The atmosphere is elegant, peaceful, and beautiful (in a restored, historical home). Each staff person listens to me to ensure I get the best experience every time. When I am unsure as to what I want, I am assisted by everyone with a smile and years of knowledge and experience (and everyone continues their education). My spa experiences have all been superb (massage (even hot stone), pedicure, and manicure). There is no better way to pamper yourself or give a gift of pure enjoyment than to visit Salon & Spa Venessa. It's a place that even men will love to go to and buy gifts of beauty and peace and wellness for the special people in their lives. Pros: Ambience, staff experience and education and skill, commitment to excellent client service Cons: No cons. more

I love this place! 9/27/2007

I actually loved Salon and Spa Venessa. It is a beautiful house and the atmosphere feels good. I have been a client there for about a while now and have had wonderful service by the stylists/estheticians and front desk ladies. My hair has never looked so good. My stylist really takes the time to make sure that I get what I want, and educates me on how to maintain it. I love the Aveda products and color. Recently I decided to try their spa area which is right upstairs, and so cute. All the rooms have their own personalities. The facial I had was wonderful! They scrub and soak your feet before the service and do an "aroma journey" and really make you feel at home. I almost fell asleep. I had my scalp rubbed, my hands massaged.. I was in heaven. Afterwards, my esthetician just wrote what she used and did not pressure me to buy anything.. it was really nice. This is the type of place that I really enjoy coming to. It works for me and I would recommend it. Pros: You have everything you need in one place. Hair, Skin and nails.. perfect. Cons: Back of parking lot is bumpy. Could use some touch up. more

What happened to this place?? 9/12/2007

I have been getting my hair done here for a few years by the owner Vanessa Lanier and not sure what happened but it is not the same. No one answers the phone or they hang up on me while trying to set an appointment. When I called back it went to voice mail and I never got a return call. Vanessa (she had a wonderful time at her own salon according to her review..see vlaniers review) is rarely there and has done nothing to resolve my problem after numerous messages. The atmosphere has gone from pleasant to obnoxious. Like I said I don?t know what happened but something has turned this place sideways and I will not return.
