Crystal has been doing my hair since I commented on a friends AWESOME color and cut and had to know who did it. That was about 4 years ago. Her knowledge of color and hair is truly amazing. My color and cuts are always just as imagined. Sometimes when I go in I just want something different. She somehow knows how to read me and I get awesome hair! I have been a client of Crystal Blackerby for many years. She has always done a wonderful job. She manages to give me an easy style but somehow still makes my hair look amazing. Last year she was telling me about the Keratin Treatment by Coppola, and how great it would be for my hair. It sounded great, but I needed some talking into. It was a pricey service for what seemed like minimal results. I think I really was skeptical that a product could really do all of these amazing things. Well, I finally caved in and got the service. This treatment is amazing, so wonderful that words can't even describe how much I love my hair. I have frizzy hair its kind of curly, kind of not. It doesn't look cute air dried. And most of all I am lazy. So basically I want really cute hair with barely any styling time or talent required. This has always been impossible, but not now. I have now had the treatment for almost 5 months and I'm still loving the results. It has truly made my life easier and my hair much more manageable. I should be apologizing to Crystal for doubting her advice, but now that I listened I am praising her everyday. I have been going to Michael for almost 20 years and every time I get out of his chair my hair is red-carpet ready. He is truly an inspired artist with both style and color. I rarely know what I want to do with my hair and each time I visit, Michael creates a masterpiece. I love the salon, both stylish and comfortable and located right in the center of town, it couldn't be more convenient to get to and has easily accessed ample parking. more

Salon has great decor and great stylists. Kim Tolbert has been my stylist for 5 years. She also styles my sister's hair and best friend's hair. She gives a great cut and awesome color. Michael does a fantastic job as well. These stylists have it all: experience, knowledge and great customer service. more

I have been friends with Kim since high school but that does not mean I automatically have a bias towards her as a stylist. Everytime I leave her salon I feel like a new person and hold my head a bit higher and stand a little taller. I LOVE the way she takes care of my hair and makes me look. Kim Tolbert has been my stylist for many years. She is fantastic!!! She always knows exactly what I'm thinking when I want to do something different, and the highlighting she does is beautiful. The relaxing head and neck massage that she does while shampooing my head, is something I always look forward to. The wine and soft drinks are also a nice touch! Kim Tolbert is the best hair stylist in Austin, NO DOUBT! She listens to what I want, which tends to change from time to time, then cuts and styles my hair to perfection! Do I need to mention the massage my head gets during the shampoo? Amazing! Salon Presly is a gem you should be so lucky to discover. Ask and you will receive! Great service in every way. Michael, the owner, has gone so far as to get me coffee, lunch and wine... all on different visits, of course! I love this salon and have no desire for anyone else to touch my luscious locks. I have been going to Michael B for about 4 years and have always loved his work. Two years ago, I became disabled and I'm now in a wheelchair with limited transportation. Michael B called me while I was still in the hospital and offered to come to my room to cut and style my hair! What an Angel. He now comes to my home when it's time for my haircut. Expertise, creativity, and personal attention, all wrapped in a quiet, laid-back, home-like setting. What more do you want? Crystal Blackerby has been my hair stylist for a number of years, and I can't be happier now that she is at Salon Presly. My hair is naturally really blah, super straight, super fine, and just a sorta mousy brown-blond. Crystal always makes me look like a freakin' movie star - the color and cut are perfect - and she really knows how to get the most out of your hair. She knows a lot about products, and can make recommendations about what and how to get the look at home. Don't worry, you're getting a hair cut, not a sales pitch for products. Further, I'm recently married and of course I went to Crystal for my wedding needs. Both myself and my bridal party looked amazing. The look I wanted required some hair extensions, and Crystal was again a perfect resource, getting me the most for my money, and making sure I would look fabulous on my perfect day. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you'd rather fend off showers of compliments than bad hair days, make an appointment with Crystal - right - now. A few years back, I started noticing that my daughter's hair looked ""model-ready"" & asked her who was doing her hair? You guessed it: Crystal! The next time I was in Austin (live in Dallas) I had my daughter make me an appointment for cut & color. I found Crystal personable but best of all, she knew how to cut & style curly hair! Needless to say, I have never had my hair cut in Dallas again! Truth be told, I don't just drive down for a haircut, but am able to combine a visit with my daughter & grandchildren who all go to Crystal, making all of us a very stylish family! I have been seeing Crystal Blackerby for years now, and I've recently followed her to Salon Presly. I love it! She's been at a few different salons over the years, and this is my favorite so far! The atmosphere is wonderful, and all of the stylists have been friendly and helpful. It's super clean and I love that the owner has a little dog that runs around and loves to say hello! I'm never disappointed with my haircut or color, and it's wonderful to have a stylist that you can give little to no direction to and come out with a great look every single time. He charges a reasonable rate--$30--for a dependable, professional haircut. He's a no-bullshit guy who gets you in and out. And all the succulents outside the shop came from his garden! I have been going to Kim Tolbert for years. There is no one else I would trust fully with my hair, except for Michael. Her sense of color and style is unmatched, in my opinion. She will never just let you do anything to your hair, she is very careful to make sure that what she gives you is what you need. Highly recommended to everyone. Salon Presly is tucked into a very nice area on Medical Parkway. You are relaxed as soon as you walk through the doors by the colors and atmosphere. The owner, Michael B.,will greet you very warmly and make you feel at home in his salon. All the staff are excellent. I've been going to Michael for almost as long as he's been cutting hair (decades now) and I always feel a lift to have my hair renewed by Michael.
