Salon Presly is a must for those wishing to get a great hair cut by a personable and talented staff. I've been going to Michael, the owner, for over 2 years and cannot say enough about him. I have never walked out of the salon disappointed and I assure you, you will not either. Salon Presly is located in the heart of Austin--near Lamar and 45th. Kim Tolbert has been my hair stylist for 9 years. I visit her for foil highlights and lowlights for my blonde hair. I have never gotten a bad haircut or style from her. Hair Majicians! 4/9/2010

I started going to Michael about 3 years ago and have never looked better than I do walking out of his shop. I sit down and am instantly pampered. I can walk into Salon Presly frazzled, stressed and hating my hair. When I walk out, no matter what he does, Michael has transformed my hair into ""magazine hair"" and I'm thoroughly relaxed and ready to add beauty and joy to the world again. He's done it all - long, short and in between and no matter what he does I come out looking like a whole new woman. Excellent hair service!! 10/3/2009

I've been going to Michael B. for many years now. He offers MUCH attention to detail with each haircut and coloring service I receive. His new salon is easily accessed, has wonderful energy, and is fun and relaxing at the same time. Michael B. is kind, generous, energetic, and optimistic---plus he's an expert stylist and colorist, so you can't go wrong here! He's compiled a wonderful and talented group of stylists to work with him, which only makes the place even more wonderful. Salon Presly is a very comfortable salon. The staff is naturally friendly and the place isn't huge so you get a lot of attention. I found Snodene years ago when every other hairdresser was telling me to shave my head and wear a wig- that my over processed hair was not to be reclaimed. Then I found Snodene. She had the talent, vision and bravery to cut my hair in a style ( a very cute short style coming from a girl who was obsessed with having long locks) that covered the damage and huge bald spots while I grew it back out. It was an occasion that would have made most girls cry but she helped me out in style . I now have my former hair back and then some and it is long again. And to you other hairdressers- why don't you all go out and buy wigs???!!! Nevermind that, quit your jobs and come see Snodene!!! Pros: Friendly staff, central location, great work more

Michael B is my hero 8/23/2009

I've been going to Michael B for 5 years now. Recently, I went in for a cut and coloring. Because I'm getting more gray hair (yikes) the usual coloring he uses didn't take so well. He had me come in again the next week (for free) to re-color my hair. The color came out great. No more gray hairs and I was pampered by Michael twice in one week. He styled it wonderfully too. I felt like a movie star. I love how Michael makes me feel beautiful and special. He's great. Pros: Really takes his time more

I was lucky to find Snodene Blakeney a few years ago and have followed her to Salon Presly. She always gives me an excellent cut and makes me look fabulous! I highly recommend Snodene for anyone looking for a quality cut or color-man or woman, kid or adult! Awesome salon and stylist! more

I've been getting my haircut [men's] by Kim for at least 4 years, even after I moved to South Austin, because she does such a great job. Their new salon is fabulous, great design, nice, warm, personal feel, great staff. Thrilled for Kim and the other staff on this new venture. Highly recommended. more

Hip Hair 7/5/2009

Every haircut I get has been awesome (without having to blow-dry and fuss over it everyday)! The owner is a long-time Austin hair stylist- Mikey B- and it appears that they know hair and they know Austin. Plus it's located in a great Central Austin neighborhood just a couple blocks away from Central Market and with the Draughthouse pub right across the street to get the evening started right.
