I was referred to Salon 427 by my sister, who just raved about it! I arrived as a walk-in, and was immediately given the ""royal treatment"" of the beverage of my choice, and a light snack served on a lovely tray with a fresh flower! Even though I didn't have a ""reservation"" as they call it, I was immediately given a tour of the salon; the best part was being in the ""wash room"" where the shampoos and treatments are done. Soft, relaxing music and soothing candlelight accompanied the shampoo and complementary paraffin hand dip. You may also have a head, neck, or shoulder massage if you'd like, just ask. It was so relaxing and de-stressing to sit and enjoy the head massage during the shampoo, whereas in most salons, the shampoo bowl is very uncomfortable, and is a big rush job! You'll want to just stay in there! My stylist was Jillian-Grey, and she spent a great deal of time with me beforehand asking questions to determine my wants and needs, likes and dislike, when it comes to my hair styling. She was very pleasant and has a friendly personality. I went from very long hair to a short bob, which I absolutely loved, Jillian did a fantastic job with the triangular hair cut. I can't say enough good things about this salon, and also you're given a discount if someone has referred you, or if you refer someone else and they mention your name. It is well worth checking thisplace out, I highly recommend it! more

Best in Spring Hill 4/17/2012

I stumbled upon Salon427 online while looking for a good salon. My first appointment was over the top...greeted by Alex, offered a cold beverage which was served to me on a tray with a flower and ChexMix...While enjoying my drink she gave me a tour of the salon which is incredible! I met my stylist soon after and it was like I'd known Tiela all my life! She was so friendly and helpful. She took the time to ask me many questions and listen to what I was asking. \r I had my hair highlighted and cut, but the next day it just wasn't what I wanted, so I called her back to take advantage of their 7 day policy. She set up an appointment for me to come back in. She redid the highlights which I wanted lighter and bolder, and then talked to me about a style. She cut my hair and all I can tell you is, it is the cutest style! I haven't had short hair in 25 years so cutting my long hair off was a bit scary. But Tiela took the time throughout the cutting process to to explain to me what she was doing each step of the way. And it was all done at no extra charge! I love it and when my husband saw it, he decided to make an appointment there to get his cut and highlighted also!\r I can't say enough about how great this salon is! From the moment you walk through the door you are treated like royalty right to the moment you leave. Everyone is so friendly and they all help each other..truly a ""team"". No gossip, always smiles, and the amenities is like being at a five star hotel! Head massages, hand parafin waxes, shoulder and neck massages, all included in the price, which by the way, is given to you up front. So there are no surprises when you pay your bill. They have a wonderful return policy on shampoo and conditioner so you never have to pay full price again! And their referral program is great, giving you credit for each referral you send their way. \r This place is amazing!! If you're looking for a GREAT salon, this is where you need to go!! I loved Tiela but all of the stylists are wonderful!! more

Great Salon 8/23/2011

I have been going to Salon 427 since Febuary 2011. They have always done a great job and it is such a fun time and great exprience. The other day when I went there I got a peekaboo effect done with my color. I loved it when I left, but a few days later I felt that the back looked a little weird. So I called my stylist and let her know what was going on. They got me right in and fixed no charge to me! So if your looking for a great place to get your hair done this is the place for you! more

Never thought I could find NY quality in Florida!!!! 3/8/2011

I had given up hope of ever finding a high quality NY/NJ style salon here in Florida. Well I am so happy to report that the search is over. Salon 457 is all that I hoped to find in a great salon. The front desk young lady could not have been nicer. After she greated me she offered me a cold beverage and then brought it out on a beautiful tray with a flower vase and a small bowl of trail mix. Then she proceeded to take me on a tour of the salon. She explained each area and what services were available. I had already been introduced to my stylist, Christy, when I arrived. Now I sat with her and discussed my hair, my history with color, cut and products. Very thorough and she encouraged questions. The thing that I liked about the entire experience was that everything was immaculate and in perfect order. Every salon that I have been to in FL up to this point has been messy, unorganized and not at all a relaxing experience. I loved the shampoo room. You got a wonderful scalp massage and a hot parafin treatment. So relaxing! with candles and a flat screen or music!! Then you got to choose whether you wanted a neck message or a shoulder message as well. Right up front Christy told me the charges for each service and asked me what I wanted to do. I liked that...she consulted me and asked what I wanted...needless to say the color was perfect, the cut was just what I asked for and the whole experience was awsome. She even gave me a nook computer to browse the internet or read magazines while my color processed. First class all the way and prices were right in line with other high end salons in major cities. Actually I thought that it was a great deal for what I got...all the little extras. I booked three more appointments for blow drys and another color w highlights in 6 weeks.I found out Christy was one of the owners and she really took pride in her staff and her business. It was so refreshing to see someone doing all the right things to stay afloat in this economy. I can't wait to go back. I was tired of going back north to get my hair cut and colored. Amazing Salon! 1/25/2011

I was looking for a new salon after my long time stylist moved out of state! I read all of the reviews on 427 and thought it was to good to be true? Im a bit skeptical... When I went in my stylist Christy met me at the door and took me on a brief tour to explain to me how the Salon operated. She sat down with me and discussed in detail what I wanted to do with my hair. I liked her immediately! She discussed price, leaving nothing to question! The shampoo room is incredible!!! All of the girls get along great and help one another!! NO cattyness here! The parrafin hand treatment, hot towel, and protein treatment were all perks and I was impressed!! but.... how will my hair turn out? I was still holding my breath! but by the time she was finished it looked great! The cut was amazing and I knew I had found my new salon!!! a few days later I realized I wanted my blonde highlites a little lighter... Christy immediately scheduled a time for me to come back in and lightened them for free! I didnt feel uncomfortable at ALL about calling her back, she is truely a professional! and even blow dryed and styled it for me again! I love love love this salon! I cant wait for my next appointment!!! more

Best salon in Hernando, hands down. 1/6/2011

This place truly has turned getting a hair cut into an experience, and a wonderful experiance at that. They have completely achieved what the set out to do which is give you an experience like no other. I went in not really knowing what I wanted to do with my hair, I just wanted something different then I have had for years and Christy came up with a style that was AWESOME! For not knowing me she chose a hip style that totally worked with my face and it was something I would NEVER have chose myself, but I LOVE it! The prices are higher then most salons but the experience is also so much better then most salons. I have recommended this place to everyone I know. If you are looking to be pampered this is the place. more

The staff at this Salon 427 is WONDERFULL!! I will def be back, however I wanted to get my hair colored and cut but becuse they only had me marked down for a cut they were not able to fit me in while i was their but they did offer to work me in the next day. Sooo When U go make sure you tell them if your thinking about color or other things becuse they stay busy. Pricing is higher than local salons but I feel its worth the difference. \r \r C.Sasser more

\r \r Always treated like a queen.... and I work next door at (the tanning place). The Paul Mitchell experience rocks!!!!!. They always make sure that you feel confortable and special. The consultation with the stylist is great as is the norm in this salon and provides the guest and stylist with a better understanding of want you want and what can be achived. I always leave very happy, if you want an experience like no other for you and your hair...visit Salon 427 in Spring Hill for a cut and color or my fav the keritan treatment. \r more

Salon 427 is the best place i've ever been to hands down! the salon has a very relaxin atmosphere and all the employees are very friendly! i like how they space out all their appointments so they dont have to rush to serve you. when they finish on time they dont try to squeeze in another customer as if they're greedy for business. they all get along well and they dont bad mouth about other employees to win you over. they share all their customers and help each other out! they are constantly trying to improve in all the ways they can better serve their customers with their skill, service, and even parking. You can tell they enjoy what they do and I love the getting my shampoo refills for half price. more

If your tired of changing from one salon to a another, searching for a great hair stylist and a great experience Salon 427 Is your only choice. The staff is extremely friendly and very sincere. Not to mention their great talent no matter what you want done to your hair. My personel love is Christy! I was lucky enough to meet her several months ago when I wanted Keritan. She has become like family and I love her! She is amazing with color and cutting and will really listen to what you want and will give you several wonderful options. You will love your hair! I always look forward to my appointments and have a great time. She is sweet, beautiful and a special part of my life. Christys assistant Jenna is always ready to fill in when needed and she is great. She makes you feel special and she enjoys her work. She is very talented and will make you happy. I love to chat with the owner Steve (when hes in ) hes always so positive and uplifting and works side by side wt the staff, you would never even know he is the boss. more

Iv stopped driving to Tampa for my hair. 10/28/2010

I was told about this salon from a friend and she made it sound like Heaven on Earth.After stopping in,I made an appointement then and there.The girls took me for a tour of the salon and explained what makes them different. So I went back that weekend and I found out exactly what my friend was referring to!!!. From the minute I walked in I felt like I was the most important person there.They spoiled me with luxurious service! I had my first paraffin hand dip and a hot towel after they rinsed my color! WOW.. I just cant say enought about this place.. It is a MUST GO!! more

Impressive 10/26/2010

Trying a new salon is somewhat risky, but i have heard nothing but good things about salon 427 so i decided to give it a try. I was very impressed, the staff were delightful and my stylist seemed very knowledgable about hair (which was comforting). I got my hair dyed at my old salon and the color didn't turn out like planned but Lindsay (at salon 427) was able to correct it and make it look nice but what really impressed me was the way she explained what she was doing. I have never had a stylist do that. Needless to say I have found a new home and so glad cuz im tied of driving to New Port Richey. Heck I would go back just for a shampoo and blow dry so i could get another scalp massage and a glass of wine. more
