Great Place - Extremely Stoked about my Tattoo 4/1/2010

I had a tattoo idea in mind for over 2 years and it was time to get it. After checking out the website, I decided Bleach was the guy to do it. I went in, told them what I wanted, and a couple days later was in for the ink. This wasn't a small piece. A spinal bone structure on my back, from above my butt up to my neck. I was surprised at how quickly Bleach worked. The tattoo only took a little over 2 hours. He did an AWESOME job! I was stoked to see it when he was finished and still get excited to look at it when I can. I got this tattoo a little over a month ago and it healed great. I did baby the crap out of it however. The price wasn't bad for a custom job either. Oh yeah, and the ladies who work in the front of the shop are easy to work with as well. They know what they're talking about. Definitely recommend this place. Pros: Clean Place, Nice Waiting Area, Decent Prices Cons: They need a parking lot... more

Awesome Belly-Button Piercing! 2/13/2010

A week ago i decided to get my belly button pierced. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff. I only waited for 20 minutes. Nick was the piercer who helped me. He was confident, he explained the whole process to me since i was pretty nervous. He was quick, it didn't hurt AT ALL, and the best part was he did a perfect job. I was a perfectly straight pierce, and I LOVE it. I'm glad I chose to go there, because even though it's a little more expensive, it was worth it to me to be in a clean sterile environment, and get a straight and painless piercing. It's been a week now and the piercing still does not hurt, it hasn't gotten infected. I had a great experience at Saint Sabrina's. You should go there for your piercings, and ask for Nick. Pros: Excellent Piercing, Comfortable Atmosphere Cons: The jewelry was pretty pricy... but it's good quality. more

Piercing, maybe. Tattoos? Definitely NOT!? 2/5/2010

The price was too high and the work was very amature-ish. The service was beyond horrible. I've never had to deal with such condescending douchebags before and I am heavily tattooed. I have now made an appointment at a different shop to have the one I got at saint sabrina's fixed. Money & time down the drain. I will never go back to that cesspool! more

Most Impressed with my Piercing 1/9/2010

I was pierced by Nate. I wanted to get my nipples pierced, and am not an exhibitionist- He didn't make me feel awkward and was completely professional. He was very friendly and very helpful. He answered every question that I had and thought to tell me things that I hadn't thought of yet. I called ahead to make an appointment. THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA!!! If you just take the 5 minutes to call down and see when they're open for appointments it makes it a much smoother process than just walking in. Please be advised of the cost. If you want a cheap piercing this is not the place to go. They have reasonable piercing fees, but they're jewelry is expensive- not without good reason though, it's top of the line jewelry. Overall I had a great experience getting my piercings. Pros: Cleanest piercing shop I've ever been in. Reasonable fees. Cons: Very expensive jewelry more

Unhappy 11/24/2009

This was awhile ago, so maybe I'm behind the times, but I went to St Sabrina's for my first two tattoos. The first one was on the my lower back, and it is so scarred that the tattoo is raised up an 1/8th of an inch all the time, and if it's humid, 1/4 of an inch. It is visible at all times that the tattoo is raised up and bad. No way to remove it or change it. I didn't know any better at the time, and I went back for my second tattoo, on my upper back. The lines were so shakey and terrible that I have had to have the entire thing re-done. So essentially I paid for it twice, because I wasn't going to go back to the same guy. On the other hand, every time I got pierced there it was good. None of the piercers I used to go to work there anymore. Pros: Clean shop, love the new location Cons: bad tattoo work, good piercings more

Fun, Professional, Pricey 9/28/2009

I went to get transverse lobe piercings (both ears). I had never been to Sabrina's before and didn't feel overwhelmingly welcomed or anything, but the lady that I talked to at the desk was very sweet and helpful. She made sure to explain briefly what jewelry options I'd have and made me feel comfortable prior to meeting the piercer (Jake). Jake was wonderful and super clean and professional. He made sure to ensure me of his experience (and proved it with the amazing accuracy of the job) and answered all my random questions. He was great with working with me and my first piercing and everything went smoothly. He explained aftercare and such without my needing to ask, which was good (he also gave me his business card with my jewelry gauge size, date and his hours). The cost was what I expected, though I still don't know exactly how much the jewelry was (I could do the math). Overall, I had a very comfortable and fun experience with Jake and Saint Sabrina's. Pros: Professional piercer, clean, fun atmosphere, lots of jewelry Cons: Pretty expensive (not bad) more

Stay Away from St Sabrinas 9/16/2009

I was recommended here by the concierge of the W Hotel. When I walked in I was ever so impressed. Very clean and comfortable. I wanted to get a tattoo. The word ""love"" on my wrist. I was quoted $175 which I thought was a little steep, I figured it's a lifetime investment so I'll go for it. They got me in within a half hour of waiting so I was happy. The artist brought me to his room and within 15 minutes he was done. I took the bandage off the next day and to my surprise it was not a quality job. It's been 3 weeks and it looks like an amateur did it. The lines are shaky, The ink is fading, and everyone thinks it reads ""Lave."" I am very disappointed in their work and I don't recommend going to this place. I should have looked at their portfolio first but I was caught up in how ""nice"" the place looked. I have an appointment to get my tattoo laser removed. Save yourself from the heartache and embarrassment. STAY AWAY from Saint Sabrinas! Pros: Looks Nice Cons: Horrible Work more

Quality Work with Great Service! 6/25/2009

At first I was a little hesitant to step back into Saint Sabrinas after a bad experience 4 years ago. I got a tattoo from an artist that hated life and their job. Since then I started going to a Leviticus and worked with an artist (Kyle) who unfortunately disappeared a few months ago. I was now without a tattoo artist that I trusted and felt comfortable with. Being a hair stylist I notice peoples tattoos all the time. Ironically there were a lot of people that were telling me to go check out this new guy they have at Saint Sabrinas. Some Hawaiian artist named Jon Boy. I met Jon Boy and instantly we had a connection! He loved the tattoos I had and was into the same traditional style tattooing! Jon Boy really loves what he does and I highly recommend him! My tattoo is perfect and not a day goes by I don't get complimented! Pros: Clean, Affordable and Adorable Cons: No Parking Lot more

Excellent work and excellent service 6/9/2009

I have been a customer of St. Sabrina's for several years now. I've had a couple of piercings done there, but most of my experience has been with tattoos. I have had work done by Jeremy, Bleach and Mike and I have been very happy with all my tattoos, whether they have been small and simple or larger and more-involved pieces. In reading some other reviews, I'm surprised to hear of complaints about the customer service. Any time I've gone in (and it's been quite a few), whoever has been working the counter has helped me very quickly and has always been very friendly when doing it. There was one time I had to wait longer than I really would have liked, but I didn't have an appointment and there were others already ahead of me. Overall I like going to St. Sabrina's and I will keep going back. Pros: Quality of work, friendliness, knowledge Cons: Sometimes the wait more

Clueless on Customer Service 6/2/2009

The only thing I would go to Saint Sabrina?s for is a Tattoo, but don?t expect to be helped by the shop girls. I?m very disappointed in the lack of Customer Service skills the desk help and piercers posses. I witnessed the desk help give ?fake time? after ?fake time? to numerous people that came in to be pierced or have piercings removed. If the desk help were honest with customer?s about how long they will have to wait and didn?t overbook the piercers, people would be so irritated when they finally are helped. In my case ? if they would have listened to me up front, I wouldn?t have even had to wait the 1 and 25 minutes I had to wait (after being told it would be 20-40 minutes) they could have retained me as a customer. In the end ? I waited for nothing because the piercer wouldn?t do my piercing. Had the desk help listened while I filled out my paperwork, they could have had the piercer take a look and tell me if he thought it was an option or not. Not only was the piercer cocky ? he didn?t seem like he had a clue. He didn?t listen to anything I said ? he had already made up his mind. When the 'manager' stepped in to help, she immediately said the piercer was right without listening to any of my complaints. Then they sent me away with a $10 coupon ? anyone want it? Way to try to pay people off to keep them happy. Unless I can apply it to my next tattoo, I won?t be using it! Until they have some positive turnover with their front desk staff and they hire a competent piercer, I won?t be going back or referring anyone there for a piercing. Pros: Tattoo Artists are great! Cons: Desk Help and Piercers are clueless more

Rude 5/26/2009

Before deciding where to get my tattoo, I went online and researced many artists. One that I found to be especially talented was bleach. So I brought my tattoo design, which was a simple phrase in Latin. When I went in to the actual parlor, I was astounded at how rude the woman at the service counter. She told me it would cost nearly twice of what another place cost me. However, was I was eager to get tattooed by this paticular artist, so I tried to get over it. When I then asked if I could make an appointment with bleach, the lady told me that ""um, bleach doesn't tattoo hips."" l was astounded because she was honestly trying to make me feel stupid. Not to mention I don't understand the reasoning behind it, but whatever. What suprised me the most was that the lady then also says to me with my sketch of words in Latin, ""what does this even mean?"" I then proceeded to leave the store. I wouldn't recommend this place, great artists, bad service, rude people. You are paying nearly twice the value to be treated like an idiot. But then again, where else would the money for the d??cor and plasmas come from? more

Pierced Here, Returning for Tattoo 4/12/2009

A bit over a year ago now, I went in to get my nose ring done. I was nervous because I don't fit the ""punk rock"" standard and I hate putting up with places that shun you because you don't fit their stereotype. However, all of my anxiousness was shattered as soon as I walked in. Though the staff definitely fit the punk stereotype appearance-wise, they were friendly and very thorough in explaining what I needed to do. My piercer was Jamie (who's no longer there, unfortunately) and was very friendly and good at explaining what he was doing while he was doing it. My wait was short and I was hugely pleased. I went back a number of months later to get the properly-sized ring and had the same experience with friendliness and professionalism. My last tattoo had been done at a different location before my piercing and I was convinced I would be going back to that original location. Because of my great experiences with Saint Sabrina's, though, I'm definitely planning to go back for all my tattoos. I definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in getting a tattoo or piercing. Pros: clean & friendly, great piercing, great environment Cons: parking more

Over priced and under serviced 2/23/2009

Unlike many of the other reviewers, I found the counter staff to be friendly and helpful. I scheduled an appointment for the next day and left my deposit with a tentative price range of $80-100 for a simple block letter word on my wrist. more

Don't Waste Your Time 1/31/2009

We went in and we made to wait for more than 2 hours, after being told it would be 15 minutes. When we finally complained, they were like oh, you're next. Pros: They have a store Cons: They charge you for it. more

Fantastic Jewelry. Too bad Jamie is gone, but theyre still great 1/14/2009

Saint Sabrina's has been my choice for piercings since my first time. I had my septum done in Madison, WI and a Madison (horizontal bar at bottom of neck) piercing also. I walked in to get my septum stretched by Jamie Clark, who now works in Albuquerque. Jamie noted that I might need to change the bar size in my Madison. I ended up going back to Jamie because he made me comfortable and he's extremely goodlooking. He did 12 piercings on me, all surface piercings but 1. Unfortunately, Minneapolis no longer has him, but I would still recommend St. Sabrina's. They have a HUGE jewelry selection, including lots of organics. I've never had any problems with the front desk and I go in there a lot. I recommend NATE for your piercing needs. He is fun, wants to make his clients feel comfortable, and knows his stuff. All of the piercers are members of the Association of Professional Piercers which makes sure the piercers are knowledgeable. I know Jesika, Jamie also, has taught classes. If you're a women getting a genital piercing, Jesika is well trained in that. If you're a man getting a genital piercing, go to Nate. Derek is also extremely well trained and professional. Go here, for sure. As for tattoos, I have one done by Mike the Face, and it is good. good ink and doesn't take forever. I've had tattoo artists take FOREVER. The front desk knows a lot about jewelry and what will work, as well as what will not. Pros: APP members, Clean, Lots of Jewelry, Autoclave, Sterile, front desk knows jewelry too Cons: no Jamie more

Not quite sure what's with all the negative reviews on the staff.. 1/2/2009

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what all of the people complaining about the front desk have had problems with. I gave Sabrina's a call about a tat I want to get - the lady on the phone was very pleasant and helpful - and I had nothing but the same when I actually brought my sketch down to look into getting the ink done. Everyone was very helpful and nice. Pros: Helpful staff! Genuinely nice people. Cons: Parking was a bit tricky - but friday night parking ususally is. more

If you want a 2nd rate tatto at twice the price as well as enough disrespect to last your life, then go to St Sabbys 12/2/2008

I'd like to start off by saying that I have tattoos from my knees to my hips as well as full sleeves and a back piece. I am no stranger to tattoo shops, and have been tattooed in more states than most people have ever even visited. In all of my wanderings and tattooings I have never, in my life, encountered a tattoo shop as horrible as Saint Sabrinas. The staff is rude as well as completely ignorant about anything other than whether or not one of the other counter workers is going to go get coffee, or lunch (the topics of choice when I stopped in) and they are the most disorganized group of people I have ever seen left in charge of a tattoo parlor. I have to wonder if the owner of the shop ever bothers to check on her employees, or check back with her guests to see if they are satisfied with the service they are receiving. On top of that, they are outrageously priced for a parlor with such low level quality of service. To complete a design on my chest (a mirror image of what I have on the other side) they wanted triple what the first one cost (which I also received in a MN parlor, that met me with MUCH greater respect and knowledge from the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left). Pros: Its located not too far from a tattoo parlor you can actually feel comfortable getting tattooed at. Cons: Service, Quality of artwork, Prices, Knowledge of tattoos/details, Timeframes for artwork more

Best Place to go for Cleanliness and awesome piercings! 11/22/2008

Ambiance was great! Staff was friendly and helpful! I went for my first piercing other than my earlobes, and it was amazing! Jesika pierced my nostril, and I barely knew she was done! She did a wonderful job, and made me feel at ease and comfortable. Pros: Ambiance, cleanliness, customer service, expirienced and knowledgeable staff Cons: parking more
