Yummy Cakes 3/25/2006

I ordered a half a sheet cake from them for my 30th birthday. I was sort of nervous as I didn't know much about them but had heard some good things from someone who ordered from them numerous times. Well I was very pleasantly surprised. Not only was the cake delicious (chocolate and raspberry of course) but it was so beautifully decorated. They way they placed the chocolate covered strawberries around the cake was fantastic! I wasn't expecting that at all. The prices are great and the service was very good. I would use them for all future bakery orders. more

Not just doughnuts here! 1/14/2006

That's right. Don't let the name fool you. The Royal Crown Bakery serves up lunch and dinner, and of course absolutely out-of this-world desserts! The service is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable as well. The only downside to this place is that it's crowded and tight. It's really a good a place to have a quick bite to eat, or better yet, just have an awesome cup of cappuccino and some delicious pastry. In the summer they turn the outside patio area into an outdoor cafe. more

Nice outside sitting area, good for breakfast. I tried an expresso and a pastry. The expresso was too strong for my taste, and the restaurant was a little too crowded and noisy. If you're looking for a tranquil atmosphere, you shouldn't go here. Pastacceria Bruno's down the block is way better in quality of food and service. more

Let me get this off my back: Royal Crown has THE BEST bread you will find on Staten Island. They get their water from Brooklyn so the breads taste wonderful! They offer lunch sandwiches, bagels, pizza, Italian pastries...all under one roof! The waitresses can be snobs though...they like to show a lot of skin. There are often young males in their trying to hit on the waitresses which can get annoying but otherwise, it's the best place to buy bread on Staten Island! It's worth the drive! more
