Roundhouse Cafe, formerly Demetri's, formerly George's has really gone downhill this past year. The food has gotten more expensive while quality has gone down. I often see insects on the tables now. The service is horrible. I shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes for my soda when I am one of two people there and I am sitting by the counter and not in the back. R.I.P. 4/27/2008

I loved this place, even when George sold it and it briefly became Dimitri's, the roundhouse was always the best breakfast in town. Imagine my surprise then when one day I went to pull into my favorite parking spot and the parking garage was gated AND there was a big For Sale sign on the building. I thought at first it had to be some sort of sick joke. But alas it did spell the death knell of my all time favorite breakfast eatery. more

Haven't been there since I lived in Salt Lake 15 years ago and still miss it! 2/25/2008

Like I said I still get the craving at least once a month for a roundhouse. Someday I'll make my way back through Salt Lake and you can bet the house that Georges will be on the top of my list for breakfast. As many times as I've tried to recreate that artery clogger it just doesn't taste the same..oh and if your really hungry do the 1 1/2. Pros: Perfect breakfast especially if you have the rest of the day to relax Cons: get there early I remember it being quite busy more

Round house and a half! 8/20/2002

Great breakfast to cure a hang over or keep you going on a cold day on the mountain. Exceptional value because you won't be hungry again for hours. more

Greasy but Great! 8/19/2002

Unless you have bnusiness in the medical building, you might overlook this great little cafe. There's enough grease to make it a once-a-month-or-so experience, but it's cheap and generous. Get the roundhouse for every traditional breakfast item - all in a single stack! That includes cheese. Yummy - and for 5 bucks, you can't beat it. Great service too, in a family-owned atmosphere. more

Gut busting breakfasts 6/12/2002

Many a damaged college student comes here to try to undo a night of excessive partying. It's a tiny greasy spoon in the basement of a building that houses medical offices.
