Always a fantastic experience! 12/13/2007

We have been to Romeo's several times now, and it has become our favorite place for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere, the food and the service are impeccable. Every time, all the time. The range of dishes is very creative and imaginative...the presentation is fantasic...and simply put, we have never been disappointed. An absolutely fantastic restaurant, with an absolutely fantastic owner/chef who will do anything he can to accommodate his clientele. We could not give any place a higher recommendation! Pros: Food, servince, atmosphere. Cons: Parking can be tough. more

Tiny & dark with decent food that fails to inspire 5/22/2007

Having heard great things about Romeo's I took the family out for a fine evening. The bill came to about $600.00 for 4 adults. The degustation menu is the only option and it served by surprise. The chef just sends out courses till you finally get dessert. I'd say 5-6 courses. The food is well prepared and the restaurant is tiny, only about 9 tables. THE ONLY fault is while the price is fixed and there is no written menu they add bottled water to the bill separately, I think that for what they charge it ought to be included.\r \r THE FOOD is nicely prepared and very tasty, but the dishes were NOT adventurous. It seemed like plates of food that you would eat at a nicely catered wedding. i.e. lollipop lamp chops & baby vegetables\r It was delicious, but not very inspired.\r \r It was fun to try as a new place, but I don't think I'll become a regular. more

My favorite place! 10/9/2006

By far the best place food, attention ambiance. The only draw back is you eventually have to leave. The only thing they don't do is put the food in your mouth... \r more

Surprisingly good.... and expensive!! 5/9/2004

We went to Romeo's cafe after reading some reviews at citysearch.com and went there with the idea of trying something new. The maitre himself came to our table and explained how the no-menu-six-course-meal will work. We found the concept interesting and exciting, and the food was definitely A++. The ambience and the service was also good and overall it was a good dinning expirience... Until the check came!!! Nobody had told us how much it was going to cost, and at 100$ a piece it was definitely a not-so-good ending to a great dinner. I'd recomend it, but go there knowing what to expect!!! more

ehhh - no big deal 6/14/2003

I can't say much about gourmet italian food because, personally, i don't think fresh pasta tossed with garlic and truffle oil is gourmet. But, putting all that aside, the food at Romeo's is very good. I like the surprise of having a prix fixe meal in which you don't know what's coming next...but there can also be a down side. You may get a great dish for one course, and the next would be a very boring dish that you had at about a million other restaurants, like salmon carpaccio. I can't say anything against the service, though. Pros: service, surprise Cons: tight space, food can be boring more

small bottle 9/5/2002

romeo's welcome makes you feel very special, the service is very good and the food is excellent. certainly a larger local would had made the affair excellent, but again, good perfumes come in small bottles. more

Unbelievable... 8/13/2002

Worth every penny... the service is incredible, Romeo is wonderful, the food is a dream, my date was hot, and if you notice a broken sink in the ladies room, sorry... the wine is good too, and they keep it coming ;-)> One of the best dining experiences of my life. From the moment you enter the experience begins, and everything is perfect, from the romantic candlelit table in the corner by the wine rack, to the sweet kangaroo meat and carpaccio. Even something as simplae as risotto takes on a whole new meaning at Romeo's. ps sorry bout the sink romeo Pros: intimate, delicious, personalized Cons: few tables, expensive more

Went to lunch on a wednesday and the food was orgasmic. Came back friday night and was all reheated, already cooked food. Arrived around 6, Romeo who is the only chef arrived at 8 PM. Food was not bad but I was i shock that a sublime meal can become just a regular overpriced dinner 72 hours later. Cons: reheated meal more
