Amazing food. I loved it. I had been dying to go here for years and finally my other half took me as a surprise. The entire dining experience start to finish is what makes this unique. Meeting the chef, and feeling so special that he will create your meal especially for you. The entire dinner took some time, which I actually liked. We were a party of 4 and with a bottle of wine it gave us plenty of time to chit chat between courses. You leave feeling so satisfied. My b/f loved that he was able to taste duck a meat choice he wouldn't usually make at any restaurant but since the choice wasn't his here he was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the duck was. Definitely try it, inexpensive for the experience. more

As described, Romeo's is definitely a unique place that is great to go to for a romantic, quiet evening with your significant other. Service is very friendly (as one would expect at a place that holds 30 people max). Very nice place to really spend alone time with your partner. I would describe the food as good, but not great. Nothing really stood out in my mind and i described the desserts to my wife as "obligatory" rather than inspired. I also found our beef to be a lower quality, although the sauce was very good as was the salmon carpaccio and the lobster risotto. At $90/person before drinks, it was a good experience but we probably won't be back - it was more of a 'one-tme' experience and i think at that price there are a lot of other great choices in Miami. more

Bad food at a high price... 9/17/2010

""Chef"" Romeo Majana (no comment on whether he is a true chef, or if he is an Italian) told us that there was no menu (a good idea to sell to customers all that is old) and was going to cook for us 6 courses $ 90.00(drinks not included) \r \r In each food course there was nothing that has not cooked for myself in my home, risotto and pasta, a dinner filled with starch at a price of lobster and filet mignon.\r \r I found the service quite good but the reason for going to a new restaurant is to try new food and they try to cover up mediocre food with good service.\r \r Dinner for two $ 315 plus tip and tax, there is no way to return to this place. more

one of the best dining experiences of my life. the chef comes out, introduces himself, and then cooks you a meal personally for you (around your likes and dislikes). No menu! so its a different experience every time you go! more

Unique! Wonderful Food! 2/26/2010

No set menu!! Wonderful food and service!! Great for a special occasion! A little $$$$ but worth it in the end! Good portions too!! Pros: Different! more

this was an amazing experience!!! a bit pricey for me but i definitely enjoyed it!! the only thing i didn't like was being cramped up!!! the space is not tiny!!! it's a nanobit of a place!!! if you are claustrophobic - beware!! we were pushed up against a wall and when the server and chef came by they were literally on top of us!!! if you can handle that - you will enjoy this gastronic amazing meal!! worth the experience except for the nanobit space! more

Assault at gun point! 1/11/2010

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my wife.\r Everything went ok until the chef appear at the table and told us there was no menus and he was going to cook for us 6 courses for $90.00 plus drinks. wow! We didnt live and deciced ti stay thinking the food was going to be worthit. Big Mistake!\r All courses where small and nothin special, small salad, four pieces of ravioli, a veal milanese, a tiny pice of fish and so....\r We pay $250.00 For that money we could went to a very nice fine dinning restaurant and ate what we wanted.\r What a dissapointed!! Ah! $50.00 they charche for lunch! Pros: Nothing! Cons: Food is not worth the money more

PESADILLA GASTRONOMICA 1/2/2010

a big fraud 1/2/2010

if you want to pay $90 usd plus tax plus service, for something you dont have any idea what you would get, this is your place. The chef is a really nice person but forget getting any lobster, crab, mignon, shrimp etc.\r , instead you'll get unexpensive courses like pastas, rice, fish etc.\r I really dont have any idea how this this restaurant works, the food is average and the price is as expensive as if you go to a very nice miami beach resturant, the atmosphere was ok but I didnt enjoy the dinner at all. Dont waste your time , go to georges, francesco, etc at coconut groove or coral gables, pay half of the price and choose what you like without surprises \r Pros: very poilite service Cons: extremely expensive for an average food more

warning: my worst gastronomic experience in miami 1/2/2010

somedy recomended it to me, and Ieft really disapointed.\r At the begginig I realized there were no menus, just a simple note where it said thar you will received 6 courses for 90 usd. The first dish was a salmon carpaccio very simple , the second dish was a very good pasta ( 4 pieces ) but the third was the worst., it was a unflavored piece of fish that I had it back to him , then the cheff romeo modified the dish for a greasy veal, without taking in consideration that I told him that I didnt eat meat.\r After that I realized it was a scam I asked for the check , pay $ 270 usd and run away from there . Pros: good service Cons: no menu $90 usd per person for something you cant choose more

This little restaurant is the perfect get away to unique meals, beautifully presented in a warm, elegant atmosphere. We are regulars for lunch or dinner a couple times a month. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 5/31/2009

No menu seems clever, Romeo and staff gave the well rehearsed speech on quality not quantity then we are asked about allergies. Okay so far..wine list seems good. Think we are in a special place. We are alone first in this small place of 28 I think. We are served our lime covered salmon strip which seems ok,different. Then a couple comes in and they stick them right next to us out of the whole place ruining our intimate diner. Ok not to smart but we tango on..It was $90 per person without the wine. 2 people $278 without tip..$60 wine, in the end we saw a ordinary fair of food with the appearance of CHEF made elegance which seemed hot popped out of a micro wave..\r \r Cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for what you get which is no big deal, 3 stars \r \r Buyer beware! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 5/4/2009

Top 2 or 3 restaurants in miami. It's a culinary experiance that everyone should live. The food is incredible every time and Romeo himself makes it even more enjoyable. No menu just be ready for whatever Romeo throws at you, I assure you you wont regret it.. more

Great food and very romantic atmosphere. No need for a menu here, chef makes 5-7 course meal that are equally tastefull. more

Highly Recommended 2/2/2009

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. The food has always been amazing. The ambience is great and very romantic. I would not suggest this type of place for a family outing though. It is more of a date place, the wine list is great but pricy as is everything about this place. Going for a nice night out will run you a minimum of 250.00 with a bottle of wine. Chef Romeo is gracious and explains to you the no menu situation as soon as you walk in. You then explain what you would like and the things that you dont like. The first dish is usually the Salmon Carpacchio and the desert is usually a sofflee. Unless that bothers you there is no reason to not go and enjoy the experience. Pros: Food and Service Cons: Its costly more

Absolutely the finest 6/15/2008

Absolutely the finest dining experience in South Florida. Every time we go, it's better and better. The food, the presentation...and the hospitality and friendliness make every time we go there a gret experience....and it really comes at a very fair and reasonable price. This is both my wife and my favorite restaurant... and we don't agree on to many things! Pros: Food, Ambience, Hospitality, Value Cons: None, maybe parking more
