Rodney's Is Back! 6/22/2009

Rodney's Of Castle Pines is now under new ownership. Anyone that has had a less than good experience here prior to May 2009 you may want to give it another try. Overall, our experience was very good, with great food, friendly service and a great ambiance about the place. Give it a another try, I don't think you will be dissapointed. Pros: Great Service, Fresh Food, Great Patio, Daily Specials Cons: None more

Rodney's Castle Pines - still the worst 12/3/2008

Went back to Rodneys in Castle Pines against my better judgement. Space cadet hostess, meth-head waitress, horrid, indifferent services in uncrowded (surprise!!!) restaurant, arrogant and high handed treatment. Mediocore food that took too long. Rodney's is a major downer. Go across the street to Jimmy's which costs too much but will try to do right by you and comes much closer to giving you value for your money. Rodney - wherefore art thou? Burned out and passed out? Pros: location Cons: service, attitude and food more

RUDE RODNEY 9/15/2008

RODNEY IS A RUDE MAN!!! I tried to contact Rodney for a charity event I was participating in Walk for a Cure for Juvenile Diabetes, I have a very close connection with this disease my daughter was diagnosed with it right after her first Birthday. I called Rodney because I was having tee-shirts made for our walking team and I wanted to advertise local businesses on our shirts. I tried contacting Rodney at 11:00am and was told I could get him at the Cherry Creek location, I called that location the employee told me to call Rodney at 6:00pm, which I did. I started to explain why I was calling and right in the middle of it he yelled "WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME IN THE EVENING THIS IS A RESTAURANT"!! I tried to explain that his employee told me to call him at that time. He told me I should have called that morning, which I explained I did try to. I apologized and he slammed the phone down! I understand that at a restaurant it is very busy at dinner time but I just did what I was told. All he had to say was this is not a good time can you call me at another time? That would be the professional way to handle it. I have owned my own business before and let me tell you that is no way to treat people if you want their business. I have eaten at Rodneys before (Castle Pines and Cherry Creek) but stopped eating at the Castle PInes location after being told by a chef that had worked there before that the kitchen was filthy! RODNEY YOU ARE A RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, PATHETIC MAN AND YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING AROUND THE PUBLIC!!! I would like to thank the local businesses in the Castle Rock area who supported a great cause. And to the other businesses who couldn't donate, I thank you for being professional and considerate when I called you after all, that is what a small community is all about. Don't worry Rodney, in the future I won't be contacting you for support for a good cause, I will be contacting businesses that actually have class!! Pros: NONE Cons: RUDE OWNER more

Avoid day bartender! 9/7/2007

Rodney's at Tamarac needs to find a new day time bartender because the one that works there now is not very customer friendly to all. Only cares about good service to the regulars who sit and gauck. Language and sexest behavior not very apealing. Too much alchohol consumed while working shift and playing with male friend at lunch. Rodney- You are loseing good customers and alot of money the way your restaurant is being worked at this time. more

Rodney's continues to disappoint 8/14/2005

I've been going to Rodney's over the past five years, and at one point had "regular" status. The quality of experience has been slipping, and it appears that Rodney has finally lost me as a customer. It took me 90 minutes tonight to go in for a plate of pasta. The waitress forgot our order, and then I was told as I was paying the bill that the kitchen "never came out with that garlic bread". Is that because they never knew we requested it? I would chalk this up to a bad server (she was), but this simply highlights a trend I have seen every time I've been there in the past couple of years. It becomes more and more effort to do business with this place. I think I'm done for a while. Pros: food Cons: service, service, smoky more

What a joke 5/3/2005

This restaurant has potential...but with the service and management staff, it will never get there. We ordered food to go only to discover when we got home that we were missing items. We called back and talked to the manager who really could have cared less. He even had the nerve to blame it on us for lack of clafification. How missing side items could be our fault, I am still not sure. Unless you are looking for a frustrating evening with rude people, I would stay away from this restaurant! Pros: NONE Cons: Rude waitstaff, Rude manager, Average food more

At least pretented you care 4/1/2005

Rodney's, Castle Pines, is a disaster and then some! The waiter could not recommend a salad because he never eats salads, so we say how about these salads. "Well nobody gets those salads". Drinks ran low always. Check total= $89 After 20 minutes of waiting in an empty restaurant for our credit cards the amount was $118! I tell the manager about the hours of hell our party endured at his shack and he doesn't care! No apology. The 20 minute wait for our credit cards, we find the waiter sitting on the couch in the restaurant. You should keep the boxes in hand so you can pack up and leave! This is business you will never see again and I will make a strong campaign to spread the word that you don't give a crap about mistakes made by your restaurant staff and manager. Cons: management, service, watch your bill!! more

When a good name goes bad! 3/13/2005

Rodney's in Castle Pines is a disaster! A Valentine's weekend dinner spent with another couple turned into a nightmare. We suggested Rodney's because we have enjoyed his restaurants for years. Yikes! What happened? Seating after 1.5 hour wait... with no suggestion that the original 20 minute quoted wait was never going to be honored. All of the "specials" were gone along with 1/2 the regular menu. The height of the fiasco was the "chef" coming out from the kitchen to yammer on and on about the perils of how to order meat for a restaurant. Sorry, that's not my job. My job is to make sure no one we know ever darkens their door again. Come on, Rodney, if you're going to move to a place like Castle Pines - act like you know what you are doing. What a pity. Cons: poor management, poor food planning, poor response more
