My husband and I stopped by hoping to find out the cost of riding here. We waited 15 minutes, walked around the property, knocked on what we thought was the office door (according to the signs). We never found anyone, there was not a contact number. We will find a different stable to ride off into the sunset.... more

I always have a wonderful experience out at the Rockin K. The trail riding operation was professional, courteous and friendly. I took my friend and her daughter there on a weekend, and we paid $30 (I think) for an hour trail ride (per person). This is by far, the best price we found anywhere in Tucson. The trail guide was friendly and fun, and the horses were well suited for beginner riders (or those with no horse experience at all). more

I will be boarding my two horses at the Rocking K Ranch very soon. So far my experience has been wonderful. They answered the phone every time I have called except once. I did leave a message and it was returned with in an hour or so. They seem very knowledgeable and I feel comfortable leaving my horses with them. more

I came to Tucson to visit family and thought I would get a trail ride in with my teenage son. Rocking K Ranch Stables was fantastic. My messages were returned in a timely manner. The trail guide (Robert) was extremely friendly and we had a great time. My son told be it was the best time he had had. I would recommend this place to anyone. On the 26th of May my wife had an appointment for a private ride skeduled for 7am at Shocking K Stables. We had made the appointment in person two days before and our telephone number was taken. At 7 am the gates were locked and there was no answer on their phone, a message was left. I have subsequently left another two messages which were never returned.No call was ever made to our home number to inform us of a problem. Pros: They have horses........ Cons: You can't make an appointment to ride them......... more

I come down to Tucson to visit family, I'm from Seattle. So needles to say we plan out our days to get the most out of our time. On my first visit I singed up to do a sunset trail ride, the date was schedualed for a Friday. At the time my name and number was asked for. So I schedualed my day around doing the sunset ride, so that I could be back to that side of town in time. When I showed up on Friday, already to go I was told that they didn't have any horses that could go out on the ride tonght. I was not called. My trail ride was reschedualed for Monday, three days later. Once again they took my phone number. I was realy frustrated becasue I could have done more things with my day if I had known that they could not take me out riding. So once again I came back on Monday to do the ride. The gate was closed and locked. I waited for 30 minutes before a ranch hand pulled in. After talking with the ranch hand I was told that sence it had rained earlier in the day the boss had cancelled all the trail rides for the day. ONCE AGAIN I WAS NOT CALLED!!. THAT MAKES TWO TIMES THAT THEY CANCELLED ON ME WITHOUT NOTICE!!!! I was realy mad this time because I had once again schedualed my day around the trail ride and could have done so much more with my day if only someone had called me!!! THIS WAS A GIANT WASTE OF MY TIME. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS RANCH TO ANYONE. What made this so madning to me is that I wasted two days on thses people and I was not staying in town that long. more
