Best

This is the best deep dish pizza I've had West of the Mississippi in 34 years. Buttery crust, wonderful sauce, made me think of Chicago. Wonderful place.

NEVER EVER COMING BACK!! 1/27/2012

First i just went there today i got very very sick and thats the reason im awake right now.. So you guys ill totally never come back again.. that is discusting that something got me sick cause thats all i had all day and just after eating there i came home and felt sick in my stomach.. Second of all the service sucked today the cashier got my bill wrong 2 times and the owner is such a rude person and the place is getto they really need the Arizona Health department to go there and check it out, the server was very rude aswell she seemed like upset all the time.. IT JUST WASNT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.. the food was alright but theres always other places that have better service and happy faces to go to, plus the owner should be nice to his customers... if i keep on being sick by tomorrow all have to go and complain @ the arizona health department... and what really bother me too they are not kid friendly place.. thats very important to me and many families that jusy go out to eat with their kids to enjoy a nice meal! more

THE WORST SERVICE! TERRIBLE ATTITUDES!! 6/4/2011

OMG! The pizza is good, but I'd rather go somewhere that I'm appreciated, and have the check be correct! They sure taught us a lesson again today. They are NOT kid friendly, they need to invest in air conditioning, and get some decent servers... They suck. Bad attitudes and nasty appearance... Do yourself a favor and just ""get it to go"" ... The staff must be relatives of the owner, if not, the owner is just throwing the business down the toilet! So many people saying the same thing.... BAD service, incorrect bills.... I could go on and on, but you get the idea. :o) more

Great Pizza ...sometimes bad service 2/22/2011

The food is fantastic, hands down ... but on more than one occasion I've had servers with consistently bad attitudes, despite me trying to be as polite as possible...not arguing over bill etc. Sometimes when you come in to the front counter, you can stand there for a few minutes before any of the present staff acknowledge you in any way. Not all visits are like that - sometimes everything is great. I still gave it four stars, however, because as far as the food, it's my favorite pizza joint in town... right up there with Zachary's. more

Go. Go now. 9/3/2010

Rocco's is gravy. I have literally never had anything bad there (though 3 slices of the stuffed crust was not the brightest idea I've ever had). Service kinda sucks sometimes, namely during dinner (who woulda thought?) but this isn't TGIFridays or Oregano's so suck it up. Any bad reviews most likely stem from a sense of entitlement or stupidity on the part of the reviewer. Who in their right mind would eat crap food just because the service is good but pass up the goods 'cause an employee doesn't lick their shoes? So go to Rocco's, don't expect to be mollycoddled, and enjoy some tasty grub. more

Rocks for brains... 8/18/2010

Here we have another pizzeria in the Old Pueblo that doesn't know service is king. You could serve me sh*t on a shingle, but if you do it with a gracious smile, I will eat it and be satisfied. Not here, though. Here, they serve their over salted, lead balloon pizza with a scowl and a dispute on the cost. Don't bother trying to argue, though. As the line of idiots behind you, who have been waiting forever to get a table, don't like to see any hold ups in the sluggish ""service."" I have gone here 3 times. Each and every time, I call in the order. Each time, I got yelled at on the line, as if I am trying to ask how to do brain surgery, and they can't be bothered. Each time, when I get there in the 25-45 minute window of when it will be ready!!! The pizza is never ready. Or, there is nobody working the cash register. Or, the idiots waiting to be seated think I am trying to cut in their line. Each time, I had to wait 20 minutes, after calling it in, waiting 40 minutes, then driving to get it...just to finally get a box thrown at me with mediocre pizza in the end. Avoid this place. Parking is a nightmare. Service is pathetic. I guess I am not the only one trying to figure out how much is owed, or how long the wait is for a table. I went the last (and final) time just for the amusement of watching people get mad as various people cut in and got tables. And how people who were waiting started yelling at the beleaguered staff. I don't even want to give this rotten hole one star. Lousy. more

Great Pizza 11/4/2009

If you're from Chicago, this a great place. Staying in RV Park and got a craving for Chicago Pizza. Drove 6 miles for take out (no delivery). Italian Sausage is the BEST since leaving Chicago 40 years ago. Staff seemed hasseled. So busy. Owner bossy but not helping. Cons: Don't go on 25 cent wing Wed. more

OK food, crappy service, and scam for the bill... 5/19/2009

We have went out with friends for work who apparently like the place, so we went along...tried to relax after hard nine hour shift, and a couple of six day weeks. Service was somewhere between non-interested, to surly, but the food was going to make up according to our friends. After a while the food came, and almost made up for the crappy level of service, but not quite as it just wasn't that good. When the check came it was surprisingly high, and they screwed up separating it. They tried to charge me mandatory 15% charge/tip for a large part...we had four adults, one five year old, and one nine month old...only the adults ate...to me that is a party of four. They charged me for the whole party, and not just our part of it. After a while at the register they just overcharged us for our part. We were giving them a chance on the suggestion of friends, but obviously they do not want more regular customers in this recession. They succeed at that. We will not be back. An apology and a refund might make me give them another try, but outside of that we will not be repeating our mistake of going there. Getting scammed once is quite enough, and I will be quite happy to take my money elsewhere as Tucson has plenty of decently priced Italian places, so no need to be ripped off here. I would give this place, and it's a-hole style management zero stars, but CitySearch requires I give at least one, which is only reason they get one. Pros: Food was OK...had better, but it was OK. Cons: Crappy, surly, disinterested, slow service, and overcharge . more

Rocco's ..... Avoid this place! 4/23/2008

Rocco?s Little Chicago on 2707 E. Broadway Blvd ripped me off. \r \r The owner (Rocco) personally overcharged me after I?d asked the waitress is the Quarter a wing deal was still on Wednesday evening. \r \r She said ?yes??.\r \r Rocco didn?t honor what his waitress told me.\r \r Worse than that he muttered insults barely under his breath as I turned to leave after paying full price.\r \r He is a poor excuse for a human being, however, he is very proud of the fact the business has been there 10 years! \r \r He is willing to overcharge a customer (me) at the expense of his character (or lack thereof). \r \r Good going, Rocco!\r \r All Citysearch Tucson diners should avoid Rocco?s Pizza on Broadway. \r \r He won?t honor a deal?..and is a cheap sleaze ball on top of that!\r Pros: Advertises low prices Cons: Won't honor low prices more

One of the best in Tucson 2/3/2008

Roccos is a small but always fun place to visit for amazing pizza. The staff is helpful and nice, and the quality is always superb. My boyfriend is from Chigaco, and he says Roccos is the closest thing he's had to Chigago since he left. Pros: Amazing quality of food Cons: can be packed some nights since it's so small more

BEST Pizza...Ever 8/2/2007

My mom and I used to go to Rocco's for lunch (they have GREAT lunch specials) all the time. She passed away a month ago. I will keep going to Rocco's for great memories of mom and for great pizza. I had the best mom/daughter lunches with her at Rocco's. They have wonderful Pizza, Sandwiches, and Salads. The best for lunch is the pizza and salad combo...try it with their homemade ranch or blue cheese, it is great. Their cookies are delightful for dessert. Pros: Wonderful food Cons: little parking lot more

Picky Mom and me 2/14/2007

I went to Rocco's Little Chicago for Christmas with my uncle. He said that this is going to great pizza. I love pizza, but not as much as this pizza. It has changed my taste buds completely. Whenever I have pizza it doesn't compare to Rocco's Pizza. Now my mom is very picky when it comes to food and when we went in and had the Heart Attack special, she ate two whole pieces, including crust. Now compare that to two bites of any other pizza, frozen or delivery. Pros: The price and food Cons: small more

Best Veggie Pizza and Chicken Wings! 7/24/2006

We had a party of 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We sat outside, had the mild and hot chicken wings, along with a veggie pizza, sausage and mushroom pizza and a calzone...oh and beer. :) Nothing was left! The place was very crowded but the service was still good. We would all highly recommend Rocco's. Pros: pizza variety, chicken wings, outside seating Cons: crowded, not much parking more

best pizza ever... 10/22/2005

My sister's a vegan and brought me here to try the stuffed vegetarian pizza vegan style, and it made me fall in love with this place. Every time I come to Tucson I have to stop here and eat a slice of the stuffed pizza. The regular veggie stuffed pizza comes with cheese and is SOOOO delicious. I brought a couple of these pies back to Los Angeles and my family wants to go visit Tucson just to have one of these fresh out of the oven... Pros: relaxed atmosphere, inexpensive, friendly staff more

oh my god it's awesome 10/12/2005

best pizza ever, from the deep dish to the thin crust. The other menu items are just as incredible, on top of that there is 50 cent wing night on wednesdays and on Tuesdays if you wear a Rocco's t-shirt, you get a free appetizer. The service is great, and all of the people working there are incredibly nice. If the place looks packed, your best bet is to order for take out, pizza is just as good the next day. Pros: environment, inexpensive Cons: gets packed more

Cheese-a-licous 10/5/2005

The deep dish pizza pie is out of this world. One slice and you are stuffed to the gills! All that cheese is dangerously good! The waitstaff is attentive and makes sure everything is to your liking. Sauce tastes like Mom made it that morning! The price you pay for the quantity you get is a steal! Get there early on a Saturday night before it gets packed! This place is a gem hidden on Broadway Blvd! Pros: Made to Order, Inexpensive Cons: Limited parking, Crowded at nights more

Old Style Cans for $1 11/29/2004

I have been there a few times and I always get a stuffed deep dish pie, it tastes like an authentic, fresh Chicago original. There's no where else in town where you can get a cold can of Old Style for a buck. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who is from the Chicago area. Pros: Chicago Decor, Unique pizza for TUS more

the best 6/23/2004

Unbelievably delicious Chicago style pizza. Having been raised on thin crust, cut in squares Chicago style pizza my husband and I thought we had to travel to Northern Wisconsin to get it. Rocco's is the closest to our old favorites that we've ever found and the very best pizza in Tucson. You're making a mistake if you don't try it. Pros: Delicious, Inexpensive, Relaxed more

Rocco's 8/12/2003

The best pizza in Tucson by a long shot...should be #1 on the list. The ingredients are always fresh, taste is unbelievable. We always have Rocco's when we are in Tucson...more than once usually! more
