DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. CONSUMERS BEWARE. During last weeks heat wave I called this company to fix my AC. Tech. said what I already learnt from YouTube-- bad capacitor. But to my surprise he said he cannot get a capacitor compatible to my model of AC, so he needs to change the whole unit for $5600. To top it all he charges $50 for his wrong advise. I am a smart consumer so I got another opinion and I got my AC fixed with new capacitor for $120. No joke. more

Do not call these people. You can get the same information off a you tube video for free. Technician came to house and told us what the problem was stating two failed parts (the same thing that you tube says for our problem) Technician did not troubleshoot the system correctly to narrow it down to the failed part. Technician stated that he was unable to fix the problem because the Model Number is missing off the unit. Individual parts are marked with part numbers. He did not research enough to make a repair. Cost $50 to tell us the same thing we could have gotten off you tube. Called and talked with Jennifer with no satisfaction. Submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's Office in Sacramento. Researching the reviews on this company there are a lot of negative comments for this company. I suggest the company make some changes to be more customer oriented. I suggest all the dissatisfied customers submit complaints to the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. Don't waste your time with these people. Their business name should be ""Unreliable"". more

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!\r \r I asked them to come out to check my fridge, and get a cost estimate to fix. They came out (technician is Tim), didn't fix it (just vacuumed, didn't identify the real problem which was the thermostat), and instead broke our ice maker (while disassembling it to get to the back of the freezer), charged us over $250 (for the vacuum job), and are completely denying their technician broke our ice maker (we didn't know it was broken until Tim left, and we then had to call out his manager, Caesar, to come back out). Keep in mind that the ice maker was working just fine until the very moment Tim came and took it apart. Because it takes time for the ice to be made, we didn't realize that it wasn't working until a few hours after Tim left.\r \r So when the manager, Caesar, came to our house, he quickly identified that the thermostat needed to be replaced. But when we showed him the broken ice maker, he was very quick to deny that his technician had anything to do with it. His position was that our fridge is old, and it just coincidentally broke down the moment his technician left our house. We asked him very kindly to give us a quote to replace the ice maker and the thermostat. After over a week of constantly asking him for a quote, he finally sent back a quote of $900 to replace the ice maker. It is absolutely unacceptable, ridiculous, and they want us to pay $900 to fix something they broke in the first place.\r \r The sad thing is, our ice maker was working until the moment their technician showed up. He then proceeded to take it apart (for some reason), but after he re-assembled it, it stopped working. When we told the manager, Caesar, about this, he keeps defending his own employee who is completely denying what he did (which is he broke the ice maker).\r \r When I demanded to speak to the General Manager (after their manager, Caesar, offered it in the first place), now they won't even respond to me at all.\r \r All Caesar needs to do is admit his employee's mistake, apologize to us, and just fix our ice maker at no additional charge to us. Sure, he would be out of some money, but he would go a long way in gaining customer trust and satisfaction. Instead, he's getting very negative publicity and lost another customer.\r \r We learned this mistake the really hard way. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!! more

Do not use this company. They will waste hours of your time and not show up and they are very rude. I called for service and made an appointment. They give you a 3 hour time block when they will show up. I received a call 15 minutes prior to the end of my scheduled time block from the technician saying he still had to get gas and he was still 45 minutes away at least. Obviously he knew he wasn't going to be on time and didn't even bother to call earlier. I waited an extra 45 minutes past my scheduled time block and still no show. I had to call to reschedule because I had to be somewhere and couldn't wait. I rescheduled for the next day. Now I just got a call from the technician 15 minutes again prior to the end of the scheduled time block and he said he was having trouble finding my house. I gave him directions and told him how to get here and he called the manager of the company because he didn't want to come to my house because I live on a base. I told them I lived on base to begin with and the girl never said it was a problem, nor do they say they don't come on base on their website. The base I live on is open to pretty much anyone unfortunately as long as you have valid identification, insurance and registration. The manager called me and was so rude to me and told me they won't come on the base because they have problems getting on base. That could only mean that their technicians either don't have valid identification, insurance or registration so I would not trust them. I was very angry that they wasted 7 hours of my time between the 2 days and he didn't even apologize and told me that they have the right to refuse service to anyone. Again, please don't waste your time with these people because they could just decide not to show up on time or at all and won't even care.\r I also just went online to look up their rating on the BBB and they are not accredited because they have had too many complaints filed for the number of years they have been in business. They have had 92 formal complaints over 3 years and 1 failure to respond to the BBB and 14 unresolved issues. The following statement is on the BBB site as well about them:\r ""Consumer complaints allege that after calling the company to inspect their appliances, the company either incorrectly diagnosed the issue and/or recommended unnecessary repairs. Most consumers also allege the company recommends a replacement of the entire unit but later discover, by way of a second opinion, that an entire replacement is not necessary. Many consumers also allege that the company's technicians are not knowledgeable, do not explain charges and do not follow up after initial service call. Company responses have indicated that they feel they offer a long term repair solution which is why they recommend a full replacement in the instances they do, rather than a short term solution which only fixes the problem temporarily. They also indicate that in cases where they acknowledge a misdiagnosis by their technician, the consumer has been refunded.""\r I am actually glad I did not end up having them at my home to fix my washing machine. more

*****customer beware**********This is the worst company I have ever done business with. The tech showed up in a junker station wagon. never pulled out my washer I think he just took a break in my garage. Came in and told me it would cost me 365.00 for a new drain pump it was dead... I was told it was 150.00 for labor and 215.00 was cost of part. after some research I found out the part cost 106.00. I was forced to pay the infated cost of 49.99 service call .called the office only to get a dimwit little girl Savannah who said and I quote ""I don't know anything"" ""but I stand by my techs"" finally I talked to someone with a few more brain cells and she advised me to e-mail Peter York. after a week of going back and forth I was told he will not return my 49.99 because I basicly fixed it my self and didn't have another company invoice. I called other companies and they all had something to say about Reliable??? Go to youtube even a monkey can fix it really!!! 2 bolts and a few clamps only to find out it was a clog, not a drain pump a CLOG. these people are Rip offs. I have found quite a few web sites were there is alot of help to get the word out about companies like this and get the word out big and fast.\r Heidi more

The only positive things I can say about this company is that they showed up promptly to take advantage of my wife and the technician was friendly and competent. They advertise online that they have low prices, but beware. I reviewed the bill after the work was done and they charged $150 for a half hour of labor to fix our dryer. Seems steep, but I can deal with that since they made a service call. The bigger problem is that they charged $140 for 2 parts that MSRP for $50 on the Maytag website. I could have bought them online for $30. That's a criminal markup and is clearly intended to take advantage of trusting and uninformed consumers. I contacted the office to allow them to address this usurious overcharge. When I received a return call from the manager his only response was that my wife received a quote from the technician and could have refused the work and paid the $49 service call (the highest of any company in our area I've come to find out). He acknowledged the MSRP and said that they can charge whatever price they want. He was unconcerned that I would write a bad review online. \r CLEARLY, THIS COMPANY'S BUSINESS MODEL IS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DESPERATE AND UNINFORMED CONSUMERS. STAY AWAY AND SEND A MESSAGE WITH YOUR POCKETBOOK. more

I used them to fix my freezer ice dispenser, I wish i would have checked reviews first. once the tech fixed my outer problem with the mechanism closing properly to keep the ice from melting in the inner container i had to unthaw the inside, which i did and it still didnt work. So i had to call the tech Paul Sharov (who is also the area supervisor-I live in Beaumont) 4 times and harass him to get him to come back out and finish the job so I could have a working ice machine. I paid a nice penny to get it working. Then I called the office and the secretary told me the manager Peter York would call in 24 hours after I complained and never once a call back. i filed a complaint with the BBB because what I wanted was to only pay for the parts and get credited for the labor part being I had to call and call and call to get someone back here to finish the job. They responded with a No because I agreed to pay parts and labor. Well yes I did initially when I thought he would get it fixed in one try and not have to be harassed to come back. to finish it. POOR POOR POOR customer service and for the price and me having to HARASS someone to finish the job its ridiculous. DONT USE THEM!!!!! its more of a headache! more

*** UNRELIABLE *** POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE *** UNPROFESSIONAL *** I called 5 times to request that the technition ""DAN"" at least follow up with me to confirm that he had ordered the part for my Thermador oven. After the receptionist assured me each time that I would receive a phone call by end of business day, NO CALL BACK! I will have to take the hit on the $50 service call and will most certainly take my business... view more elsewhere. Also, ""DAN"" the technition was rude and VERY rude to my 3 year old son who tried to engage in conversation with him. \r \r BBB Business review of ""F"" more

They are lying, thieving, cheating extortionist. You have to pay $49.95 for nothing as they know nothing for being there 5 minutes or if you approve job they over charge you by 40% over the best and finest repair Co'sThey use refurbished parts (they lye and say from proved 3 party distributor) they fail quickly, they give 90 warranty when Co's orginal warranties are 5 years. They especially pray on elderly people. Avoid at all costs. more

Don't trust them! 2/23/2013

Don't use them. We had them come out for our Bosch dishwasher. He told us the control board was out and gave us an $800 estimate. I ended up checking the problem online and found the control board at Sears for about $150 including tax and shipping. I replaced it and the dishwasher was fixed in about 30 minutes. The whole service call was a scam to get an easy service call fee. At $50 a pop they can make a haul for doing nothing. It's either that or the tech really was clueless. Neither choice seems good. more

I give this company 5 stars for their service. When I called about my refrigerator leaking water they were able to send someone out the same day. They gave me a time of 3-6 and the guy was here within that window. He was quick and didn t leave a mess. He was really nice. Also their prices were really reasonable and they gave me 15% off labor as well for being a new customer. I ll recommend this place to my neighbors and EVERYONE! Thanks! more

I DEFIANTLY recommend Reliable Service Company!!!!\r \r I was having some issues with my air conditioner. Reliable Service Company were able to send a tech to my house right away. \r \r The tech was professional and friendly. He explained to me what was going on with my ac, and gave me a reasonable price for repairing it. He had the part I needed with him so he was able to repair it the same day. Since the time I called into the company, my ac was up and running three hours later. \r \r All in all, my experience with this company was beyond what I expected and I will defiantly be calling them back if I need any other repairs. \r \r Thank you, Reliable!!! more

Outstanding service!!! 8/1/2012

I called them for an estimate for an ac installation, i have to say they did a wonderful job. They were able to give me an estimate right over the phone, They use the brand that is rated #1 in consumer reports, which is Trane. They came out the very next day and installed a brand new central ac, and lets just say the house has never been cooler! They even gave me a complete warranty on it. I m a business man myself, and i must admit that they were professional, efficient, very friendly and they came right out and got the job done right. I am very impressed with their company and how they conduct business and i would highly suggest them to anyone looking for a good RELIABLE company. more

Reliable Service Co is a scam! 7/8/2009

Called reliable service out to look at our broken front load washer, was told $836 to fix a motor assembly. That was more than we paid for it!! Decided to plug washer back in to see error code and see if sears could come fix. When we plugged our washer back in it began working again. Ended up being a drainage issue because of not using He detergent. Can't believe we were told that amount of money to fix something that wasn't even wrong. Stay far away from here. more
