Free second opinion 12/6/2014

I had taken my vehicle to another shop in Batavia and was not happy with their service nor their quote on getting my 2 front wheel bearings replaced. Paul offered to check my car out for free and gave me a significantly lower estimate for replacing my wheel bearings. On top of that, they noticed one of my front ball joints were going bad and the first place did not catch that. more

Several small jobs done quickly 11/24/2014

As usual, Paul did a great job, and for a very good price. He replaced the engine air filter, one tail light bulb, and two license plate bulbs, plus rotated the tires and patched a small hole in one of them, all for $70! You can't beat that. He also ran a battery check, and let me know about my brakes, etc. more

Oil Change and overall inspection 11/8/2014

Scheduled oil change and fixed a rattling heat shield. Gary went over other things that could or should be done on my high milage car and was clear that they are not safety issues. I like the fact that they never BS me about "You can drive it but don't drive kids with those brakes..." crud that other mechanics often do. Looks like I'll save some pennies and have shocks and struts done in the next few weeks. more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Reliable Auto Repair. To begin with they just fixed the problem I was having and didn't give me the dreaded phone call that goes something like this: "you need thousands of dollars worth of work before I can fix the problem you came in for" Not only did he fix my car but he also fixed my trust. more

honesty 10/30/2014

I used Yelp to fine a good mechanic in the area. I brought my 2003 Buick Century there for a Radiator flush.His mechanic pointed out that there was some coolant on top of the motor which turns out to be a intake gasket leak. Paul put a nice price together for the gasket and other parts, topped off my fluids and I decided to think about it. I appreciate that he didn't just do the flush and send me on my way. My brother is very knowledgeable with cars and to save money I decided to reach out to him. I certainly plan on going back in the future for other needs that probably will come up. more
