Super relaxing and friendly staff! Fantastic Massage! 4/15/2010

I spotted Rehoboth Spa while strolling on the street and I loved the name with the feeling of being on the beach in Delaware. I decided to book a massage after hitting the gym this past Saturday. The massage and spa was absolutely fantastic! It was a wonderful deep tissue massage and made me feel wonderful! I can't wait to return! Great spa and wonderful value! Excellent prices, too! Pros: Amazing Massage! I can't wait to come back! more

Abused by staff 4/14/2010

I recently received in the mail from Rehobath to attend for a special offer for spa week. I have previously been to this salon, and even purchased a gift certificate for my husband for Valentine’s Day this year. I telephoned last week and made a booking for Tuesday evening at 6.00pm to have a facial at the 14th St spa. I was then invited by friends to attend the theater on that evening, so I telephoned on Monday to change the booking time for my facial. On that occasion I spoke with a gentleman who said I could attend at 5.30pm as that would give me enough time to get to the theater at 7.30pm. At 5.30pm on Tuesday, I arrived at the 14th St Rehobath Spa for my facial. A very rude female staff member then advised me that my appointment was at 6.00pm. I said, “No, I telephoned yesterday and spoke with a man who advised me I could come in at 5.30pm for my facial”. She said, “What time did you call?” I said I wasn’t sure – I think it was in the morning. She then said to me in a rude, loud voice with others listening, “No, that is not so – I was here all morning and you did not call”. I then asked if she was calling me a liar? She said – “You did not call and anyway, we cannot accommodate you at this time”. I cannot believe that Rehobath has such abusive, rude staff. I will NOT be going back there & I am happy to post this note to advise others against going there too. Cons: Rudest front of store person EVER more

Great Value, Great Service - Spa Party 3/31/2009

I hosted a spa party here and it was awesome! of all the places that i researched Rehoboth fit the bill! The salon is cozy yet chic... great staff! The salon was able to host all 10 women at 1 time rotating between services from manicures to facials. The heated massage tables were awesome and the facial had me glowing like i had just come from one of those ritzy salons on Madison Ave. 100's of bottles of nailpolish! Pedicure was fabulous including exfoliating scrub that had my feet like a baby's bottom! Trust me this is a hidden gem right on local 14th street. Kudos to Gloria and her staff! i will definitely return for more! Pros: clean professional chic environment w/ quality service Cons: NONE more

Hands, feet and face down - the best in NYC! 8/1/2008

Hands, feet and face down, Rehoboth Spa is the best in the city! The pedicures are incomparable, the manicures are perfection and the facials...well, are just devine and perfect! All the ammenties one would want at a spa visit with caring and warm staff. Everthing is just wonderful...oh, and did I mention neck, back and body? Absolutely fantastic massages!!!! Just try it once and you'll never need to go anywhere else. more

Don't Shortchange Yourself 4/18/2008

Although this looks like a manicure/pedicure salon, it is a paradise for a completely rejuvenating experience. I went there yesterday for the first time. Heated massage table? And extremely proficient? Welcoming. Genuinely welcoming staff. Pros: Felt at home Cons: None so far more

Great massage and an attentive staff 8/1/2007

I was in desperately in need of a massage after a long week at work and Rehoboth was recommended. Even though I didn't have an appointment on a friday night, i was greated warmly by the manager and accomodated. I have never received a professional massages before and the manager kindly explained all the difference between the style they offered(Even though it was extremely busy). Their massage rooms were very well decorated, very neat and the massage therapist put down new linen on the table right in front of my eyes before giving me time to get ready. The therapist was very courteous and very attentive to my needs. And after my 60mins was up, therapist spent an extra ten minutes or so to get my knots out on my shoulder which was extremely appreciated. I would definitely enjoyed my time at this spa and would visit again very soon. Pros: Courteous, Detailed, Clean, Amazing Massages, Attentive Staff. more

THE BEST SPA EXPERIENCE IN NYC!!! 7/20/2007

Rehoboth Spa Lounge offers the best spa service in the city I must say. I went there on a Thursday night before a girls night out for a facial and massage to papmer myself. When I stepped into the door, I was greeted with the warmest welcome. Then I was assigned a professional massage therapist who gave me the best massage followed by a great facial treatment I've ever had. The whole experience was extremely relaxing and place was one of the most glamorous and sanitary spa's I've ever been to. I'd strongly recommend this to my girl friends!!! Why go anywhere else in the city when you have this spa conveniently located at union square. Pros: Excellent customer service, massage and facial!!! Cons: none what so ever! more

possibly unsanitary 7/5/2007

I've gone there a bunch of times for brazilian bikini waxings and they were always good. The staff is extremely friendly. I even recommended them to a friend! However, I noticed last time I went that when the waxing was finished, the waxer took the scissors she used to trim the hair and PUT THEM BACK IN THE DRAWER! I am not an expert, but I would think they should be sanitized. I will never go back to this spa again. Pros: friendly staff Cons: possibly unsanitary more

Best Pedi in the city! 5/10/2007

Rehoboth is a great place for many services, but today I would like to boast about thier pedicures. Price is good, and the staff does such a wonderful job. The entire experience you will love. Nice spacious stations, great massage chairs and pretty scenery. They even give you a pretty long leg and foot massage just with the regular rehoboth pedi. I would also recommend the 10-20 chair massages. The guys that do them are great, very professional. Bottom line: Rehoboth is the place to be! Pros: Manis, Pedis, Massages more

GREAT manis/pedis, skip the spa services 4/8/2007

I love coming here for manis/pedis because the staff here is so friendly, especially the always-smiling manager who greets every guest and bids them farewell. Because I loved the place so much, I decided to try out their spa services with a facial and a wrap. Both were a huge disappointment. First, the facial: the room is very clean and lit well so I was ready to relax and enjoy the whole experience. Overall, it was an all right facial, except for the rash-like red marks on my face from the extractions that didn't go away for over a week (the esthetician uses a lance to aid extractions). What bothered me about the experience, though, was the hard upsell. The esthetician took a quick peek at my face befeore starting and immediately tried to persuade me to opt for microdermabrasion. I found this a bit disconcerting because a) she isn't a dermatologist and b)she looked about 22. How much experience could she possible have with microdermabrasion that any spa regular can be confident that she won't do any damage? (Note: it is commonly recommended that all microdermabrasion be performed or supervised by a DERMATOLOGIST).After I rejected the micrdermabrasion, she tried to sell me a more expensive facial. This was my first facial at this place so I just wanted to try the basic, and again said no. I just wanted to relax but the pressure I was feeling from this whole "business" discussion left me tense and annoyed for the rest of the facial. Wrap: this was not a spa experience AT ALL. To start, the wet room is lit brightly (compared to other treatment rooms) and there is no music. And it is COLD. Maybe not if you are wearing clothes, but it certainly is when youare not waering a thing and being doused intermittently with water. Requests to heat the room up went unfulfilled. I had goosebumps until the blankets covered me (about 30 minutes in). And did I mention that the esthetician made me STAND UP in my b-day suit while she applied the body mask? Ick. Pros: Great manis/pedis Cons: Not a true spa exerience for spa prices more

Great spa!! 2/24/2007

My girlfriend wanted to get a spa treatment for couples for our anniversary and we didn't want to go somewhere far. A friend recommended rehoboth and it was a WISE choice. From the staff to customers, it seemed like everyone had a smile on their faces even though it was absolutely horrible outside. We spent close to 800 dollars for all the treatment for both of us and it was well worth it. This was my first time at a spa and it was a great experience. The deep tissue massage was absolutely fantastic. I think the best thing about this spa is that they ask YOU, if everything is going ok and they adjust to your own taste. I would most definitely revisit this spa. I think my girlfriend already became a regular there. Pros: Excellent Service, Pedicure, Experienced Staff and attentative. Cons: No parking, but then again, its in union sqare. more

WORST PLACE YOU'LL EVER END UP; DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE! 1/31/2007

This place was awful. Having had a cold for over a week, I decided to treat myself to a French Manicure. I already had a manicure done one week prior, which I loved, but it was chipping so I decided to try this new place on my way home. They assigned me a beginner. She cut my cuticles and massaged me. It was fine. I had told her I'd like a clean line for my French manicure. She painted one side of my hand and I was horrified. I told her I didn't like it. She then made me wait 10 minutes and then a manager came. By this time, a regular suggested I try a particular manicurist. The manager insisted she was better and she'd paint my nails. Again, it was horrible. She finally caved and sent me the manicurist the regular customer suggested. She did an okay job. In the end she wasn't great either because she caked on the nail polish thickly because she sucked doing French manicures. My nails dried, I arrived home, washed my hands (2 hours later). I see a chip on my nail. When looking closer, it wasn't a chip but the nail polish had been polished on so thickly that when I rubbed all of the tips, the polish was a gum-like texture that was just being pushed off with my hands. I just erased all of it off and when looking underneath, THEY RUINED MY NAILS. They filed my nails and it looks distorted and sloppy. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN OR YOU'LL REGRET IT! Pros: A guy walking around gave great massages Cons: Worst trained manicurists in this world more

BEST EVER 1/19/2007

I love Rehoboth Spa Lounge. It was such a great experience. I've been to other Spa's ; which I thought were good until now! Now I see they were not as good as I thought. The staff were soo pleasant and attentive. I took my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved it. We got the body scrub, hot stone massage, facial, and pedicure. The body scrub was exilerating. The massage was soo relaxing. The facial left my skin so clear and fresh. You dont see the results of most facials until later on but this was instant. They give you a survey to fill out before you began; which is an excellent idea. They use the information to personalize the services for you. Most importantly they do not push their products. I told all of my friends and family about them. Anytime I hear anyone mention a Spa I recommend Rehoboth. Its worth every dollar. You wont even mind the price once your done. I cant wait to go back!! more

Mani/Pedi - great service 11/15/2006

My first visit to Rehoboth was on November 1st, 2006. I got a mani/pedi from a lady who has been working there for a year. She was absolutely wonderful with the service and great final results of my polish. The nail polish from my pedi is still intact! The normal case for me, as i work out and play sports, the polish will chip after 3 days. Prices are average and the place is clean. Pros: Professional staff, long lasting results more

Great Service! 8/26/2006

I've been going here for years. I started going when I worked downtown. Now I work uptown, but I still go out of my way to go to Rehoboth. I've tried others, but no one has the service, consistency or professionalism that they have. Pros: consistent, professional, relaxing Cons: none more

amazing space, amazing staff 7/11/2006

the staff at rehoboth never forget a face. everytime i walk in there i get a warm fuzzy feeling. their services are top notch. you have not had a pedicure until you have tried their spa and hot stone pedicures, they are transcendant! Pros: warm friendly staff, thorough affordable services more

sweet as can be, and celebs love it too! 6/27/2006

The women and men of Rehoboth have been keeping me beautiful for almost 9 years now. They are so nice and warm and accomodating and always remember you when you walk through the door. Pretty hot with celebs too! I saw Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon there on separate occasions in one week! Great place to relax. more

Oasis 5/14/2006

I'm a pedi-perfectionist and can tell you that Rehoboth is the best bang for your buck. I've been to too many salons that do little more than wet your feet and give you a fresh coat of polish. Some spend more time massaging your legs than actually tending to your FEET. Others offer lots of atmosphere (manicures at a "bar" with cucumber water "cocktails") with outrageous prices and little substance. But the staff at Rehoboth is well trained and spends most of the pedicure where it counts - trimming, pushing back/cutting cuticles, filing, pumicing heels, the works. And they are the kind of friendly bunch that you want to bake cookies for. You can even store your personal tools there for a nominal fee. Not to mention the remodel is fabulous (right down the WC)! Pros: Competitively Prices, Sparkling Clean, Never Crowded more

User review by apellica 4/14/2006

I have been going to Rehoboth Spa & Lounge for years. I feel the same way as another user stated when Rehoboth closed for renovations last year, I as well tried quite a few neighborhood salons and couldn't find another salon that lived up to the level of service that I receive at Rehoboth Spa & Lounge. The salon is clean, the staff friendly and I always love the way my manicure looks every time!! Pros: Accomodating, friendly more

WORTH EVERY DOLLAR! 4/7/2006

The staff and management at Rehoboth are exceptional in every way. I've been a customer since Rehoboth first opened there doors on 14th Street. Last year, Rehoboth closed for renovation for a few months and I tried numerous other salons in the area and couldn't find one that could compare when it comes to skill, staff and atmosphere. I did find salons that charged less but the skill and service were of a considerably lesser quality. Pros: Best pedicure in town, Great facials, Great massages more
