Rubix, the watier, made the evening. The crabcakes were too fishy, the beef wellington was stringy (not at all what I expected of a filet), and the seabass was about ordinary and reminded me alot of sushi...undercooked and bland, which is fine if I'd had ordered sushi. The escargot was some of the best I've ever had, but not good enough to salvage the meal. For desert, my man and I shared creme broulet. The sugar on top was thick like beveled glass and inside was not at all creamy...more like flan. Cold from top to bottom...I think they pre-made it and held it in the fridge for late diners. Entirely too overpriced for the quality. The waiter was impeccable and very personable and was the only redemable quality, other than the decor. Our most recent outing here, was to celebrate Valentine's Day. The Lobster Bisque was beyond good; it was orgasmic. Caesar Salad followed, which was right on cue. I opted for an off-the-menu main entree special of Filet Mignon served in a Marchond du Vin sauce, accompanied with Bearnaise sauce, crabmeat, new potatoes, and asparugus. I picked well; my plate was both creative, inspired, daring, and delicous. My fiancee tried the roasted duck, which she also found to be beyond compare. Dinner was accompanied by a nice Chardonnay wine from Stag's Leap Vineyards in Napa. We concluded with the Double Chocolate Cake for Lovers, which was ............well, Awesome. No other word comes close to describing it. Valet parking was superb, as was the service, attention to detail, and ambiance. I look forward to returning soon. You must try the new lunch menu! Their Power Lunch for $9.99 has 6 choices including a wonderful salad with blue cheese and pecans. I had the Chicken Picatta that was the best I've ever had- my co-workers chose the crab cakes and another chose a shrimp pasta. The service was excellent and the setting is so beautiful.
