We live off of Rutland and Golden Meadow Dr, in North Austin. Our A/C went out yesterday and we were thinking we were out of luck untill Monday. Luckily our luck had a change for the better when my Land Lord called Precision Air out to our home. They could not get the parts they needed to fix our unit so late on a Saterday, but pulled it off some how. Here it is Sunday and my baby girl is cooling off as we speak and I am a happy Dad. Thank you, Jon, Gary, and Derrik for your prompt attention to our bad luck. We deffinatly appreciate you! more

We came home from our baby shower on Saturday night to a very warm house. I had only bumped the thermostat up a couple degrees, trying to save a couple dollars. Much to our dismay, our A/C would not stay on for more than a couple minutes. My wife went online and saw the great reviews for Precision so we left a voicemail at 1115pm and got a prompt response in the morning around 815. We spoke to Derek and told him where we live and he happened to have a call in the area already. He said he had 3 calls in front of us and he would call a half hour before he was on the way to us. We were happy to get a same day response, but were surprised when we got a call back about 5 minutes later. He understood my situation, having an upset, pregnant, and OVERHEATING wife on my hands, so said he would come right over to help us out. Derek diagnosed a bad part on the blower within minutes and had the correct part on his truck to repair it right then. After checking the pressure on the coolant, he said were were good to go. He did his paperwork and I handed him a check. We never felt like we were being taken advantage of and really enjoyed the honesty and prompt service. The fact that they don't charge more $$$ on weekends was great, and if we ever have any problems with our AC again, we will call Precision for sure! more

I came home from a vacation to find out that my AC was not working in these 100+ degree days! I was told that installing a new system would take about 8 to 10 hours. Not only did Jason and Obe arrive at my home early, but they were finished with the installation of both AC and furnace in 6 hours because they worked so efficiently. Talk about nonstop! These young men were efficient, polite, and careful with not destroying anything inside of or outside of my home! Jason and Obe are the best! They did a great job before, during, and after the installation. Jason and Obe rock!! They deserve a raise from the wonderful company they work for! more

We were all set up for a GREAT happy hour at one of the best people in this world's house. We came over right after work looking forward to enjoying a cold beer only to find her STRESSED to the max because her a/c wasn't working. It was 110 degrees outside and about 98 in the house. She searched through a long list of a/c repair companies and was only able to get Precision Heating and Air to come out in a reasonable time. They sent out Corey, who called to tell us he was on his way (within the two hours as promised). When Corey showed up... he was AMAZING! He fixed the a/c within minutes and sent us right on our way to the best Happy Hour EVER. Thank you so much to Precision Heating and Air, LLC. These guys are GREAT. On a Friday night my AC went out. With Temps. predicted at 105, I knew that I could not wait until after the weekend. I called Precision hoping for a Saturday service call. My call was answered by their Service Tech, Corey. He offered to come out right then! But, I figured that I could hold out until daylight. The next day, he arrived, diagnosed the problem quickly and had everything running in no time. He even gave me some good advice on maintaining my unit. What a nice young fella'! Thanks, Precision. I had a ac unit that was 31 years old and it went out on a Sunday and Joe came out to my house and fixed my unit within 30 min. Then I asked for a estimate for a new system and he gave a great price. Jon and Gary came out to my house and installed my new system very fast and were very cool and explained everything to me while they did it. I will never use anyone else but them for all my ac needs. more

House has been hot in the summer these past years and planned to do something. Started doing my research and got quotes. Then the AC started blowing hot. Washed down the compressor, this helped a little bit. Called Precision Heating and Air. They sent a tech out promptly. What I liked best was he gave me an honest answer. When it came time to spend money, he didn't try to sell me on the biggest and brightest unit. We even discussed going with an R22 compressor. In the end, I went with a Carrier 16 SEER with Puron (410A). Jason and Obie did a great job. Very professional, payed attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves. It is the end of July and for the first time since we bought this house, I can bring the temperature down to 70, where before I couldn't get past 80. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Also will continue to use them for my future projects (duct change out, zoning & adding more registers). more

Service Technician Corey L. knew his trade and worked very professionally through the entire process. The Technician inspected, cleaned, and repaired my AC for a reasonable price in less than 1 hour. I would recommend Precision Heating & Air if you need service in the AustinElgin area. They are professional and have great communications skills you will appreciate. My a/c went out on a Sunday afternoon (100F outside!). After calling several companies who couldn't get to my house until the next day and couldn't give a time when they would arrive, I got through to Joe S from Precision Heating and Air. He was very courteous and was able to come within a couple of hours. He called me a couple of times before arriving to give me an update on when he would arrive - I really appreciated this. When he arrived, he went straight to the root cause (dual cap) and replaced it within minutes. After checking that no other damage had been caused, he was finished and on his way. \r \r I was very impressed with his knowledge of the systems and with his customer service. more

I realized late Sunday afternoon that my airconditioner unit was leaking and soaking the hallway carpet. A friend at work had told me about Precision and their after hours policy. I called Joe and he was at my house in 30 minutes, diagnosed the problem quickly and had it fixed within an hour. The service was quick and very affordable. I could not be happier for the job well done and it not costing me an arm and a leg. Thanks Joe! more

Sunday mid-morning my compressor stopped working. I called two companies before finding Precision. The other two both HUGE after hours fees, one wanted 144.00 just to to the house, the other 124.00 to come out. I found Precision on a fluke search and called. One very professional voice answered on the other end, Joe. He took my info and said he would be over as soon as he finished with the line-up in front of me. Here I sit at 4:34, My ac is blasting cold air again and Joe has come and gone. His 60 dollar service fee was waived since he did the work and the work was a very affordable 210.00! He not only fixed the problem, but also checked out the compressor and coolant. I tend to read and rely on reviews more then I write them. Trust me, go with Precision if you have a choice. You won't be disappointed and this post could very well save you some money! more

Jon & Gary installed our new A/C & furnace in the quoted time. They were very helpful & professional in all aspects of their service.They explained everything in a very informative manner and made it easy to understand. They kept the working area very clean. It's been a couple of months now since Precision Heating and Air installed our new downstairs A/C unit, and we couldn't be happier with the unit. Even in the torrid Austin summer we are having, it is keeping the interior of the house nice and cool, is using a lot less energy, and is as quiet as promised. During the installation, Joe and his team went above and beyond. The unit was installed on a Friday, and by Friday evening it was evident that the compressor had a faulty fan motor. Expecting to have to wait over the weekend for a new part, we were pleasantly surprised when Joe himself went all over hell and beyond to find a new motor so we wouldn't be without A/C overnight. He and his team did not leave until everything was up and running late Friday evening. Now that's service! more

Our upstairs ac did not seem to be cooling on a Saturday afternoon, so we called Precision Air several weeks ago. Our technician upon arrival mentioned how busy he had been that day, & that he had many other service calls after us. He spent less than 15 minutes diagnosing the outside unit and announced that the compressor needed to be replaced. We were shocked, our house is only 6 years old. He gave us a quote to replace the compressor at a cost of $2330, but that would only have a 90 day warranty. Or we could replace the entire condensing unit at a cost of $2960, which would have a warranty of 5 years. Which option did we want, he could install it for us on Monday? We did not feel comfortable moving forward with either option, and oddly enough our a/c seems to be working perfectly ever since. It did not seem, after all, to be a compressor issue. I don't feel that he took the time to really diagnose anything. I think it was more an issue that it was 104 degrees that day & at 3:30 in the afternoon, it did not seem to be cooling, which was probably true, due to the extreme heat. I'm happy we didn't spend the $2300-$3000. more

If you are in the Central Texas area and need A/C or heating work done, call these guys -- Precision Heating and Air. Joe Strazza and his crew did a GREAT JOB!! He is knowledgeable of the units/products offered. He gave us a fair quote for a new system and had great patience to answer all my questions. The office staff handled 99.9% (they could not sign my name) of the paperwork for the rebate(s) -- manufacturer, local, and with the IRS. They climbed into the attic, checked all duct work and went through each room to inspect and reseal all vents as needed. They cleaned up everything inside and outside. Even though we contracted to have the unit to be installed 3 days before Christmas, they came through without fail, did all work within the promised timeframe. It has now been almost 6months with the NEW unit, and it has proven its worth as it has been through the winter and now tackling the Texas Summer. We have had time to compare and have seen the $AVING$. Having to buy a new central Heating and Air unit for your home is a big investment, I would sincerely recommend Precision Heating and Air of Austin. more
