The Pour House is a great restaurant, and deserves to become a Boston institution. It keeps its personality as a bar, but serves more than the usual bar food -- the honey-mustard chicken dinner with parsley potatoes was comfortingly yummy. The gigantic nacho plate is wicked salty -- the hummus appetizer makes for a less lip-numbing intro. The milkshakes are great, they have a full bar, and they keep their eye on you for refills. The service is friendly and quick. The dive-bar atmosphere is charming except for the really sketchy bathrooms. The hot veggies are always limp and grey and the salad dressing is bottled, but other than that the food is delicious. The cozy booths are best for small groups, but the downstairs annex means there's room for the whole gang. This place is a must for students.
Pros: friendly service, varied menu, great drinks
Cons: icky veggies, sometimes smokey
