Worst Customer Service Ever 5/17/2008

Came in to buy a wedding gift off a Pottery Barn wedding registry. I had to find the registry computer, and then fight with the broken printer without an employee in sight to help me. When I finally tracked down someone by hanging out at the cash register, they didn't know where to find the gift or how to use the registry. When I finally found the gift, they said no one was there to wrap it (as advertised) and I would have to come back to pick it up in several hours. I asked for the supplies to wrap it myself, which they dragged their feet about. It took 30 minutes to pay, to get the gift successfully marked off the registry and to print out a gift receipt. When I got home to wrap it, I discovered they had only given me one piece of tissue paper (to wrap a glass decanter), a box that doesn't fit and not enough wrapping paper. If my friend hadn't registered here, I wouldn't have shopped here. more

Calling All Leemings! 8/8/2002

I went in there to spend a gift certificate and I had difficulties spend this $100 on anything of interest. What's up with the Americana hideous kitch? Anyways, Pottery Barn...Restoration Hardware, they look so similar these days, what's the difference? Americans need to learn some individuality and not buy into images corporations feed them. Pottery Barn is great if you're looking for overpriced leather chairs. Pottery Barn is also great..... if you're a leeming. Cons: Taste, Selection, Value more
