Left a message yesterday for a sales person to call me back...no call back...not a good sign from the beginning...think I may need to look elswhere more

installed, yea right. "all you have to do is attach the ladder to the pool. " then spend the next three weeks restoring your yard and moving the dirt and the unused sand -extra that they "had" to have. install all the extras they promised. and wait on the parts that were not in the boxes. oh and clean up all the trash they leave behind. this "installation included" is going to cost me several hundreds of dollars more just to make the yard livable again. that doesnt included calling the electrician back to hook up the Lights (?) -there is only one and they said it had lights all around the pool. they are no better than watsons slut. promises, promises and full of bull pooo Pros: delivered on time Cons: did not do what was promised more

Well, where do I start. I read the reviws on here like most people. Thought about looking online. Went to Pool and Spa Depot and was HOOKED in. The people there are really cool. After talking with them and seeing some of their OTHER customers (the ones that cry and whine and think they are more important than everybody in town) I noticed this place was not so bad. My wife and I bought a spa. A cheap one we could handle the payments on per month, but were still treated with respect. We got what we paid for and understand that nothing in life is free. We got what we paid for, and at a great price as well. Pros: Great buying experience Cons: it's not free, but worth the money more

Everytime I walk in this store after having my water tested they throw a bunch of s*** up on the counter omg you need this and you need that. and at the least I've ever had to pay for chemicals is maybe 50 bucks. One occasion I was told I needed 40 lbs of calcium for my pool lol I know Calcium isn't that important so I said screw it went over to watson's right down the road and was told to use baking soda for alkalinity and to get rid of algae I could use this stuff that they sold me called sno bleach went home followed all of the steps have never had a problem since. I wish I'd known after 5 years all the money I had wasted. Pool and Spa can Go to Hell for all I care. all they are after is money and will lie to loyal customers to get it. very sad Pros: Awesome pool chemicals they work well if you can afford them Cons: everytime I walk in the door. more

My wife and I have purchased a hot tub/spa her tanning bed, and now this past weekend a 24 foot above ground pool, all from Pool and Spa Depot in Antioch. We have had great service, and reading the other reviews on here I have no idea who any of these people dealt with, because we have always been pleased with all the service and items that we purchase from Pool and Spa. They will honestly go out of their way to make you happy. I know that they made my wife very happy with selling her the pool she wanted, and she is a hard one to please so if she is happy they are doing something right. I will definatly use them again if I need them and I know that they will be there with a great deal, and a quailty product. Robert J. We have bought MANY things from Pool and Spa Depot and have been pleased with everything. We purchased a hot tub/Spa at our old house, with no problem, I have a wonderful tanning bed that has been going strong now for 6 years, and we just purchased a 24 foot above ground swimming pool. They are awesome, the service is unbeatable! Call and talk to Bob or Steve, and IF you have a problem Michelle or Brent would be happy to solve it, they work hard at making everyone happy, they have definatly made me a very happy customer, I will always shop here. The sales staff promised us that the pool would be serviced by a specific date. The Service Manager failed to call and schedule the appointment in enough time to make that happen. The service technicians no showed, no call on their scheduled date. When they did arrive they failed to complete the service and broke one of the caps on the pool. Technicians never returned phone calls. The service manager refused to acknowledge the poor performance of her employees. Technicians lied and told her work had been complete when it hadn't. The store manager was ambivalent. There was no attempt made to make the customer happy. It took 2 months to get the service complete and several hours of follow up and phone calls to see a resolution. This place is horrible! Pros: best price Cons: worst service ever more

My wife and I purchased a new spa last fall and that is were the disaster started. We were quoted a spa detail by a sales rep he gave us a brochure and circled a spa with a special price good for 3 days. We purchased that spa. A week latter a completly differant spa was delivered. After heated discusion two with the sales manager and the the owner the replaced the spa. I beleive with a used one. It have leaked form the begining. Customer service is the worst. just call and try to schedule service warranty repair and you will be on hold for 30 -45 minute. They will not return a call. They will take you number but the will not call back. I would never do any business with the company again . Cons: Stay away more

The price is never the price. If you want anything extra, they will charge you outrageous prices. Very deceitful. Inground pools - $3 per sq. ft. more than market for extra concrete. (Thousands of dollars) Unreasonable for rock removal once they have you signed. The list goess on and on... Find someone more honest!!! If you have extremely low expectations then it's okay to shop here. Otherwise, AVOID. Service is non-existent. We purchased a pool table and it took 1 month and several trips to get it installed. Not to mention, the installation guys got our carpet filthy. We had also purchased a salt system for our pool. It was installed (after multiple appts) and doesn't work . One week later and I still haven't been able to get someone out to look at it. This morning I spent over 30 minutes on hold (or on ignore) and have yet to speak with the service department. The only reason they deserve one star is the gals who sample the pool water are always helpful and friendly. Poor customer service for Pool and Spa would be an overstatement because they have NO customer service. This is the worst company i have ever seen. The people there lie about everything from start to finish, nothing they have said has been the truth. even after i got shawn to promise me a call he never did. this has happened 15 times and I keep getting differant lies from differant people. even the owner lied. dont ever go here or even walk through, or you will be lie to worse then the lowest car dealer. a law suit is being put togeather if anyone is interested. this company has to be out of business. The only thing I can tell you if you are looking to buy a pool or spa from Pool and Spa Depot is DON”T!!! I purchased a fiberglass pool on October 19, 2007 from a salesperson, who I was told no longer works there, told us that we “would be swimming by Christmas”. The first lie. Pool and Spa did not start to install the pool until we made numerous phone calls in early December of 2007. Yes they will tell you that the weather did not allow them to start installation but here are the facts. Between the purchase date and the start of installation (approx. 12/1/07) there were only 12 of the 43 days with any reported rainfall. The 4 rainfall days with one inch or more were isolated. The 8 remaining rainfall dates had less than 1 inch of rain. We were sold what they called a display pool – one that had been shot through (yes a bullet hole) on the grounds and repaired which the salesperson assured us we would not receive – the second lie. After being told that Pool and Spa would take care of everything, we were required to pull all permits for installation and fined when the electrical failed – the third lie. Installation was a nightmare. They had to install the pool twice actually pulling it out of the ground because it was not level. Workers were suspect at best with one exhibiting behavior that would definitely not be considered professional. The work is below quality – concrete around the pool is cracking outside the expansion joints and it has only been in place since February. The pool has areas of discoloration where it has been repaired – from the bullet hole and the surface is cracking. The saga continues. I only hope that you will heed this warning and not get caught in the same situation. Despite all these issues arbitration has served no justice, so when they tell you repeatedly who they use for arbitration, as I was, take this as a warning to head for the door with your wallet/pocketbook closed!! I have to say I had a wonderful experience at Pool and Spa Depot. I actually started my hot tub searching at their local competitor. I actually purchased a hot tub from them and was given the run around. We decided to look at Pool and Spa Depot. No we were not greeted at the door however, we were greeted while looking at one of the tubs. The salesman was wonderful. He explained so much about the tubs all this was new to us their competitor did not explain any of the spa details. We told him we had purchased from the competitor and we were waiting on the competitor to call re: delivery of the purchased spa (DELAY). He was not pushy he wrote down info about the spas we were interested in and told us he would love to have our business. We were at the store on Sat we were told we could have the spa at our home Mon/Tue. We though everything over and ended up canceling our order from the competitor and bought from Pool and Spa Depot. The package was better plus I had a set date on when to expect the spa. It came the next Mon! The delivery boys were great set up the spa for us assembled the cover exc. The spa works wonderfully. I actually called the salesman back a few times and he was very helpful in explaining how to use the chemicals exc. I would recommend Pool and Spa Depot. I really wanted to put this review out there so others will see there are some folks who do have a good experience although seems like most of the reviews come from negative experiences. Pool and spa depot has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We were price shopping between there and Watson's both in Antioch. We walked into pool and spa depot and they were not only snobby but didnt even bother to ask if we needed help. They only payed attention where they thought they had a sale. A simple acknowledgement that we will be with you as soon as possible would have been just fine. Instead, they looked up at us and continued what they were doing with no acknowledgement whatsoever. We didnt walk in like dirty, nasty people but even if we had, we may have just got off work. You never know. Thats okay.....Watson's got our business and did a wonderful job!!! I purchased a spa and received the wrong color. They promised a check in the mail to make up for it (never came). Filter cover, siding, and radio control broke within two months and can't get anyone to fix it. Needs to be turned into the better business more often. Cons: lie,lie,lie more

Avoid using Pool and Spa Depot, I hired Pool and Spa Depot to move a hot tub for me; they came out (took them almost 3 hours to get there) they informed me up front the cost was $300.00. I was desperate to have it moved, however when I asked about the electrical he said oh, you don't need that. Well, yes I do need that, so I called him later and ask him to please come back and remove it for me, he has said TWICE I'll be there, he is yet to appear. I'll never use them for anything and don't recommend them. $300.00 for twenty minutes work, unbelievable! Cons: bad service more

All started in 1/07. Went in and salesman wrote up workorder after we discussed what we wanted. The work order had several line items. At bottom of proposal was the price for everything we selected all together. When asked how much a specific line item was (such as a SAM light), the salesman would just say "Oh that's included". Remembering back it's as if he didn't list the price of each individual item so we wouldnt think we could take it off the order to reduce the cost of the project. He informed that there was only a standard $500 deposit to start the installation. We left and few weeks later contacted him to start the installation of everything on the workorder with the exception of a slightly smaller pool in 2/07. He said I would need to come in & sign a contract, pay a deposit. A deposit which he NOW informed would be much higher, because we were having a large pool installed. I guess he forgot he told us the deposit is only $500 & we actually went down on the size of the pool. Now the deposit is $15,000. Not wanting to prolong the dream of having a pool, I didn't complain & scheduled to come in & sign & pay. I went in & he wrote up a contract. The contract was not in the same format as the sales order slip he had initially wrote up & didn't have separate line items. I asked him to write down the items that were listed specifically on the contract that were on the sales order- because I had informed we wanted to go ahead with the work except a smaller pool. He didn't want to write everything down & said "This isn't a car lot, we are going to stand behind what we say". It took 10 weeks from the time I signed the contract for them to start anything for my pool. They ended up not including items on the workorder and would refer to the contract where things were missing. Not to mention, while they were working at my house I heard several workers talking about being on probation, who's knows for what. Not safe to do work w/them! more

What a nightmare. It took 8wks to install my in ground pool. First the hole was not deep enough. Then it was too deep. Not enough gravel sent one day. Plumbing was not deep enough. Had to cut a hole in my garage wall for electrical. They know great dry wallers!! Left inground pipes exposed. Back yard is tore up to a tune of 1500 dollars for a landscaper. Leftover sand, gravel, and dry cement in yard. Never get to talk to a real person when you call there. Lucky if they return your calls. The molding around the top that holds the liner in doesnt fit together. One half an inch space in between. I don't reccomend Pool and Spa Depot to anyone. This pool was a major expense and nobody should have to go through what I went through. more

Went in the store to buy a reputable spa. After looking at many models they showed me a "Special Order" that was cancelled by th epurchaser and they would give ame a great deal on it. It was brand new but did have some cosmetic blemishes. They sold me a spa that they claimed was Catalina. I bought it, scheduled delivery and then went home thinking I was in good shape. Out of curosity I started researching that specific model on the internet. Come to find out it was not a Catalina Spa. It was actually made by a company that only retails them on e-bay. Exact pictures of mine listed right on the sellers page who happened to be the manufacturer. When I went back with the printed evidence in hand they refused to believe me and tried to tell me all spas are made by the same comany and then sold to the retailers who put their own label on them. They fought me over giving me my money back and treated me like dirt. Manager was rude and crude in his conversations. STAY AWAY!! Pros: none Cons: everything more

As of today they have yet to finish our pool. We purchased a pool a year ago and we have the frame and the lining in but that is it. They will not return any calls and the lining now has an air bubble in it. Look like an egg. Dinasour egg. Buyer beware. more
