My group of five ate here on 4/27/07. The food was mediocre at best, although it was served hot. I found that amazing because the service was beyond awful. After waiting 20 minutes for a waitress we finally flagged someone down so we could order. The table next to us finally got up in search of one so they could pay and leave. Salads were served with the wrong dressing, special requests (vege on side, no dressing, etc) were ignored, requests for water were ignored completely, and the bus boy kept trying to take our plates away - as we were eating off of them!!! Some ordered food was never served, and when it was pointed out there was no apology. The Chicken Alaska was rather bland. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled with no seasoning at all, then the crab and sauce dumped on. The special that night was Chicken Piccata. It was a generous portion, but had little to no flavor, and was served over spagetti noodles. Oddest Piccata I have ever had. Very garlicky but no lemon flavor. We fully intended to order dessert, but after waiting 2 hours for our regular food, we were afraid of how long it would take. It was not crowded (maybe 3 other tables) and not that late (around7:30p). There was no reason for such abysmal service. This was one of the very few times I have left less than a 25% tip. At 10% I felt I was being more generous than our waitress deserved. Take your business elsewhere - they obviously don't want it. Every time I've visited the Plantation House I have been very satisfied with the food and the service. The price is fair and the food is great... the parking was a little ackward, but it was a small price to pay for such a nice experience. Pros: Food, Ambience, Service Cons: Parking more

We ordered a Cajun Crab Cake Appetizer (which never arrived), my wife's salad came with the wrong dressing, and the entrees didn't taste good. My wife ordered the Seafood Fettuccini; the sauce didn't have a good flavor, the shrimp had full "P--p Veins", and it made her ill. I ordered the Primavera with Blackened Chicken; the sauce was okay but nothing special, the meal ended when a Clam Shell broke in my mouth. How do bits of Clam Shell get in a Chicken dish? Apparently the Chef broke some Clam Shells in the kitchen and missed fishing them out of everyones dishes... Health Code requires that the dish be thrown away when this happens, not served. A man called Israel, I believe he's the owner, didn't understand why I thought this was a less than favorable dining experience. He was sorry that I was upset, but he didn't understand why violating health codes would make me leery of anything else coming out of his kitchen. We love this place. We've eaten here for special family occasions, with friends, and on Valentines Day. The food is excellent and nicely priced. We think you'll love it, and it is not a chain, so it makes it a truly "Nashville" place to eat. If you do have a large group over 8, they do let you call ahead and make a reservation. more

I've been eating off and on here for about five years. Last night we had a Christmas dinner outing for a party of four. We started with the Oysters On the Half Shell, excellent sauce when you add the horseradish! All four entrees were picture perfect in presentation and taste!!!!! I've had so many bad experiences eating out in Nashville. It is nice to go where you know the food and service are excellent! Thanks again! more
