Great people! I've twice gone to them for what I thought would be expensive repairs and they explained why I didn't need them. On another occasion, Mr. Phibbs told me of another shop that could do the work more cheaply than he could. When they have done work for me, it has always been done right and at a reasonable cost. They have an excellent reputation.\r \r Tho only downside is that they are very busy (for good reason) so they may not be able to schedule your work right away. more

Installed junkyard motor, told us it was factory rebuilt 9/11/2012

Jim Phibbs told us he installed a factory rebuilt engine in our car.\r \r The engine has not lasted like a factory rebuilt one should last.\r \r Recently a different mechanic told us that the engine had markings on it like the ones that come from junk yards.\r \r Phibbs was dishonest with us about some other things as well. You cannot trust this person. Do yourself a favor - let someone else work on your car. more

The engine has not lasted very well.\r \r Other mechanics just recently told us the engine block had markings like it had been bought from a junkyard.\r \r Folksy personality but incredibly dishonest man. more

WOW. I am so impressed with the wonderful service and value at Jim Phibbs. As a 23 year old girl who knows hardly anything about cars, I usually feel vulnerable going in to any car repair shop. honest work, fair price, sincere service 3/30/2011

I have taken my vehicles here and Mr. Phibbs will repair only what is needed, at a fair price. My elderly parents took their car in recently. My dad told them both CV joints needed replacing. After car repaired, Mr. Phibbs explained that only one needed to be replaced and the other was fine. Many shops would've taken advantage of an elderly couple but Phibbs is an honest, upstanding, family run repair shop. I have used them twice since then and am very happy with their work and honesty! more

Exceptional 6/12/2009

After getting screwed over at Firestone, I took my car to Jim Phibb's to have a gasket set replaced. Phibb's did the work for less than what they had quoted it as. Even more over, they did the work for $100 less than Firestone quoted it. More recently, I brought my car in because Firestone made a mistake when replacing my spark plugs and wires. The wires were resting over the exhaust causing them to burn. When I came into the shop a mechanic greeted me and listened intently to what I was saying, asked important questions, and made me feel confident that my car was in good hands when I was leaving. Upon returning, the mechanic pulled my car around, popped the hood and explained to me exactly what happened and what they needed to do. Jim Phibb's is an exceptional Auto Service Center. more

Professional, Immaculately Clean Repair Shop 4/2/2009

I had my Oil changed here and was very impressed from the moment I walked through the door. The people were very friendly and informative. The place was very clean. They had fresh baked cookies on the counter. I am very pleased with their work. I will go back for future repairs. more

I have used Jim Phibbs for many years as well as my dad and grandfather. We have never been disapointed in the service. Never have been sold somthing I did not need. Highly recommend. more

Have been refered here by many people and have always been happy. 10/28/2005

I have never felt that I was over charged or sold things we did not need like at outher Auto places. Phibbs is honest, and a quality repair shop. Many of my mechanic friends have refered me here for service. It is always better to call ahead and make sure the shop isn't full, but they usually have quick repairs. Arrange for a ride home - this is not provided. more
