I took my car there after an accident where the transmission pan was cracked, control arm was bent, and I needed a new wheel. Well, then they tell me rack and pinion and power steering pump need to be replaced. I agreed to all of the work, to the tune of $1500, and my car has never been the same. I get my car back, and every time I accelerate, I have this high pitched whine, which I had never heard before. I asked them about this, took it back in to them, and they acted like I was stupid, and they didn't hear anything. Long story short, they replaced the power steering pump, again. Then, about six months later had to replace the rack and pinion AGAIN. Now, I am having the same issues, and I rarely ever drive my car because I carpool to work. My mother recently had work done to her car and refused to go anywhere near Pfefferle because of the way they treated me. They see a woman coming, and they will take full advantage, but what they don't know is I know enough about cars to be dangero more

I think the other review is completely bogus. I have 'no dog in this hunt' (absolutely no connection to this garage or it's employees). I don't go to them exclusively, but they have been my primary mechanic for at least a decade, maybe even longer, I've kind of lost track. They are extremely competent mechanics and you won't get ripped off on any repairs. They will NEVER tell you something needs to be fixed that doesn't. If they can't find your problem, then there is usually no charge for their labor. If sometimes the front desk is busy, you may wait a little, but BECAUSE they are trying to give good service. Most small garages only have one person at the front desk, so this is SOP. They are usually pretty busy so appointments are necessary. They have streamlined their oil changes and tires though so that it's walk-in with little wait. On the bad side, they can be a little pricey. Basic oil changes are $30 if you don't have a coupon. I have had service to my car and bought tires here. They need more people to handle the front desk. They seem to be too busy to wait on you. They will try to sell you everything. They are pushy and rude. more
