All they're worried about is money. I hope they all get a$$ f*cked with a rusty screwdriver by the devil himself! Piece of SH!TS! more

Best Dog ever! 5/18/2012

Purchased our cock-a-poo five years ago..been the best dog ever. smart...loving....he does love teenager boys ankles...but that is just fine with my husband. Just take your time picking out your pet...take them to the puppy room...give him a chance with your family in the puppy room.Place isn't spotless, but get your puppy early on..when they first come in.Sorry about the other sick dogs...but...we love Heap and would purchase another one there if we have too. Have a nice day! more

They need to be shut down!!!!!! 4/11/2012

I feel so bad for the animals in this place called pets galore. They should be called PETS NO MORE. Every time I go into this place I'm hoping that new and better people are working there. There is a older nasty lady that works there she reminds me of CruElla de vil. She never smiles and she is just nasty. I wish new people would buy the place and get the bad people out!!!! But I got my Dashound there and they said he was a miniature. And 3 years later he is weirdly long and is about 17 pounds. Also the dogs always look sick and sad. But I'm glad I got to give my dog that I bought from this place a good loving home! more

Don't buy a puppy from this place. 1/9/2012

I just recieved my dna results for a puppy I pruchased from this place today. I was told by Pets Galore that my puppy was a Boxer/Lab mix. They even wrote this on the contract I signed in the store. Then I had some friends say, No way my puppy was a boxer/lab mix. They all said he is a pit bull. So I decided to spend the $60 and get a dna test done by Wisdom Panel. I got the dna kit, toke my dog to my vet and had the vet complete the kit and mail off the test to Wisdom Panel. I got the results back today. My dog is 75% pit bull and 25% other breeds. Only 4% is a boxer and 0% is lab. If you bought a box/lab some time around Dec 2011 from this place, I want to let you know that is not what you have. If you would like to see the dna results I had done feel free to contact me at sinclair.realty at gmail more

I brought a rabbit 3 weeks ago and i did no like how he was when he came home. he was drug up and sicken. i was so heartbroken and i was ready to sue them and it was horrible service. even when i called back to complain they gave me some stupid lazy excuse. i saved my poor little truffles because before he was super skinny and and not eating or drinking and know he like 3 lbs and he was only 1 when i got him. he is healthy and happy and i hate the pet galore and i wish some animal agency would close they down and give the pets to store that wont drug they up. more

Sold me 2 very sick dogs 10/31/2010

I bought a golden retriever from Pets Galore and payd alot of money for Buddie. It was my first dog since ive been a child and i am a grandmom now. Buddie was a wonderful dog. he was my baby. i loved him so much. when he was around a year old he started to have siezers, well it never stops . I went as far as taking him to do vets in pa. spent 1000's of dallor. snd in the end they told me the same thing.. he was more then liokely a puppie mill puppy. and hes going to pass in a siezer. well he did. My whole world fell apart it was like losing someone. but before he died i went back to Pets Galore and I told them what happen and they told me that they have new owners. and that the old owners got there dogs from the puppiy mills. before i left i walked out with another golden. BIG MISTAKE...... My other golden which i named Buddy 2 Started having seizer. Dont trust puppy stores more

DISGUSTING FILTHY PLACE!!!! 6/10/2009

I recently visited Pets Galore with my husband on June 7, 2009. When I came in I had no intention of getting a puppy but we ended walking out with one or rather SAVING one I should say. The place place smelled disgusting and the first part that I thought was interesting, they claim ""they never put there pets behind glass"" and that is one of the first things I saw 2 little Yorke's in what appeared to be in a bunny tank! Now begins my story. As I was looking at all the puppies they were all sickly looking it broke me heart, its as if each and ever single one of them wanted to be taken home and if I had a farm I would have taken them all. After browsing we found an adorable little of Rottweiler puppies. We ended up selecting a sweet little male from the bunch whom we now call ""Brody"" and he is an absolute joy for my family. Here's where the bad part begins. Upon bringing him home we noticed he had a little cough, which we chalked up to being nerves and we would have checked out at his well puppy appointment. Well not even 2 days later the coughing had gotten worse and his breathing was so shallow,k at 4:30am on Monday morning my puppy staring coughing up RED STUFF (THEY WON'T LET ME PUBLISH THE REAL WORD ON THIS REVIEW), I immediately tried to contact the store owner which took about 2 hours to reach so you can already see her sleep in time is more important than the animals she so called ""cares"" for. When she finally called us back she almost convinced my husband to let them keep the dog for 10 and THEIR vet work on the dog. To me that was very suspicious and I did not trust it. Needless to say I said No I am not leaving my dog, the owner then told us to meet us at her store at 8:30am that day and needless to say she NEVER showed her fat ignorant manager was there instead. They tried to have us sign a BOGUS contract and we wouldn't. The manager got the owner on the phone and she said ""Okay well we will take him to the vet and bring him back this afternoon"" Now keep in mind my precious dog is losing it by the second. My husband said ""we will go with you"" The owner told us No and when we asked her why she said ""the vet doesn't like customers"" Now you tell me who the IN THE WORLD says that!? I ran out of that place and immediately rushed him to my own vet. My vet whom I love so greatly rushed him back to triage and the results brought me to my knees. My little 11 week old puppy had full blown pneumonia the worst the vet had ever seen. My vet told me if we had brought him in any later he would have died. I was hysterical to say the least. So now my 11 week old puppy is in the ICU area of the vets and will remain there for 5 days hooked up to IVS and Med pumps. We tell him everyday when we visit just how much we love him and I thank GOD EVERYDAY for letting us rescue him from this dirt hole. Our vet bill is outrageous and lucky for us we have the money, but could you imagine if we were less fortunate our dog would have died? DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Oh and on top of that no one from Pets Galore not even the piece of CRUD owner even called to see if he was okay. I have EVER single animal activist rights group on these people right now and I won't stop until they are shut down! Please Please do not buy from this PUPPY MILL!! I beg of you, find a reputable breeder and speak with them. I am concerned about all of these animals that lay in there own urine and feces at this place. And now I have to make sure my other pets do not get pneumonia from the baby because it is contagious. I hope you people go to hell for what you have done and thank GOD my Brody is not with you horrible nasty people anymore.P.S. I would rate this place with NO STARS if I could because they are disgusting and below unsatisfactory!!! Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE more

Used to work here 3/20/2009

My brother and I used to work here at Pets Galore and to be totally honest with you I think thats when the place was cleaner and the animals were happier, you see we didnt work there just for a paycheck we worked there out of love for animals, my brother is a big time reptile lover and I absolutely love birds especially parrots, cockatoos and macaws, in fact I used to handfeed the babybirds we had. My brother worked his fulltime job as a forklift mechanic and in the evenings would work at Pets Galore, mostly because of his love for animals. I admit I don't know everything about birds but I do have a 39yr old parrot that I have had for 22yrs so I must know something. I wouldn't mind working there again, Its a good way to support my family and be happy with my work at the same time... Thanks Pros: puppies playing together uncaged Cons: messy more

SICK DOGS, BAD SERVICE--do not go!! 1/25/2009

I started going to this store after my long time dog passed away. I liked it because all of the puppies were out and together and you could play with them easily without having to take them out of a cage. But after going a few times, I noticed the same thing as everyone else-this place is TERRIBLE. The older lady and guy that work there are what I'd consider to be ""white trash"" and they don't care about those dogs at all. Most of the dogs are sick or rolling around in their own waste and it's disgusting. We called animal control on them once because they had a dog in there, just running around-that BIT MY BOYFRIEND. what kind of place allows that? We tried to just look at a cock-a-poo with no price, and they poor young girl that worked there told us that it was from a puppy mill, and that it was a ""free puppy"" since they bought in ""bulk""...only they wanted to charge us $350 for the ""free dog"" that looked too sick to go home.\r Needless to say, I will never go back to that place--the conditions for the animals are terrible-they may be able to play together but they are all getting each other sick, the dogs are NOT cared for properly, the customer service is the worst and the place is just shady. I hope to god that someone has some common sense and shuts that place down...\r DO NOT GO HERE. Pros: pets can play together Cons: poor customer service, shady people, sick dogs, smells terrible. more

I love the way they keep their puppies at Pets Galore in Glen Burnie, MD 9/14/2008

I have been in many pet stores where depressed puppies are kept by themselves and in cages where nobody can touch them unless you look like you have money and a clerk will go get one for you. I have been to pet stores that try to be cute and put puppies in ridiculous bassinets treating them like babies but all that happens is that the puppies are sitting in their mess in these things. I bought my sheltie from Pets Galore because they don't use cages or puppy mills. They have these pens with soft pine on the floor and the puppies can eat together, play together and I can reach down and pet the puppies. These puppies are very friendly because they get lots of attention from everyone. I am sure that every single pet store and breeder sometimes get sick puppies but I get tired of all the negative stuff always showing up on these sites and decided to take the time to tell the other side. Pros: No puppies in Cages, No Puppy Mills, friendly and knowledgeable staff Cons: wish there was more parking more

Mistreated puppies 7/21/2008

This place is awful!! When you walk in the smell hits you right away. Then you find the puppies and they are being kept in awful surrondings. Trust your gut when you feel like something is wrong, it is. We bought crickets from them, and the amount of dead crickets scooped out of the barrel and the smell was unbelivable. The place needs to be shut down. I know that animal control in aaco has been trying to get rid fof them. If you want a puppy, dont buy there...supply and demand as long as people want them puppy mills will continue. You are not getting a bargain..We bought a kitten years ago from here..and he was a sick guy with skin issues and runny nose and such, so although thought not too much, after all the vets and baths I had to give him we didnt save anything. Rescue a puppy, go to a all breed rescue, animal control, spca, humane soceity. Check pet finder....Please if we all try hopefully they will be shut down. If someone is singing their praises obviously they must be affiliated. Pros: NONE!!!!!! Cons: The whole place more

NEVER SHOP HERE!! 6/13/2008

I used to work at Pets Galore. So I can say that to even go inside of that store, is a mistake. It smells for one. And The staff is not friendly and most of them could care less about the animals. The general manager is a horrible woman! I told her that I noticed a dog coughing a lot or that one dog had something in it's stole and she shook her head but didn't do anything! The sick dogs that get returned to the store so their vet can pay the bills, get stuck in the back room alone and nobody checks on them most of the day. Plus the room is too hot because some snacks and lizards are kept back there also. I would never tell anyone to go to this store. I work at PetSmart now and when I see people with Pets Galore puppies I just hope to god that nothing goes wrong with them. While I was working there someone bought a dog and the next day came back because their dog had DIED! While they were buying the dog, he was coughing and the girl ringning them up, said it was nothing. If you have already bought a dog from Pets Galore I hope that you don't have any problems. If you do, I would not take your dog back to them to treat because like I said, they keep it for two weeks and it will sit in the back room alone. I always tried to go check on the dogs in the back room when I worked there but they wouldn't let me. They said only managers were allowed back there. If your dog gets sick, take it to your vet. I know that voids the contract but I think it is the best thing to do. If you are thinking of buying a dog from there, don't. \r \r PETS GALORE USES PUPPY MILLS!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: NOTHING!!!!! Cons: Puppy mill puppies, bad staff, sick dogs, the list could go on more

Worst feeling ever 5/31/2008

Well where do I start. Me and my husband have 2 boys we were geting ready to buy are first home so we look and thought a long time on buying a dog. We already know what kind of dog we wanted. While my husband was at work I went around to differant pet store looking at golden retrievers, well I found one. I called my husband right away and told him that I found a dog that he would just fall in love with. So my husband came with me after work and the moment that he seen him we now that he was the one.\r So we go him and and bought everything that we needed. We spent about $878.00 that day.\r well we had buddie , that was he's name for 1 1/2 then thats when all hell broke lose. he suffered from seizers and not just little ones one that made him not look like a dog . we spent 1000's of dollars then we took him to a neurosurgeon thats when he told us that it was genetic. He was are best friend that place. We went back 1yr later and we told then what happen and they toled me that the guy that ran the store at the time was fired , That still did not make me fell any better. It was one of the hardest thing i have went thought. I have since then bought 2 Goldens and I'm just waiting and hoping that nothing goes wrong\r s Cons: I felt that they lied about that guy getting fired, but what else could htey of said more

Good place to find a pet 4/20/2008

I bought my Jack Russell a year ago from Pet's Galore. He is happy and healthy. The only reason your young pet would get sick is if you didn't care for him properly when you brought him home. Puppies are suseptible to many things when you change their enviroment. Please do your research before buy a pet, even if you think you know everthing. I liked that this place didn't use cages, and the animals were nicely priced. Pros: Pet friendly enviroment Cons: Takes a while for a call back more

Suffering Puppies!!!!!!! 2/19/2008

I think that anyone who considers this pet shop to be a nice place for helpless little puppies.. must live in a disgusting place themselves! I have had my puppy for a little over 1 month and he has been in and out of the Vet with all different illnesses. I was recommended to call Pets Galore by my puppies groomer (He told me he also had a horrible puppy experience with Pets Galore) to see what they could do for me. I called within the time they said on the contract and the manager never called me back like they said they would. I called a second time and the manager hung up on me. This is the worst place to adopt a ""healthy puppy"" from and I only recommend it if you want to save a puppies life! I do not recommend this pet shop\r \r Pros: ZERO!!!!! Cons: EVERYTHING!!! Conditons, Customer service, Cleanliness, all animals are on their death bed!!!!! more

AVOID ANYTIME 1/21/2008

INTERESTED BUYERS PLEASE RECONSIDER BUYING A PUPPY FROM HERE! I GOT MY PUPPY FROM THEM AND WITHIN THREE DAYS HE WAS IN THE EMERGENCY VETS. HE WAS SO SICK THEY GAVE HIM A VERY LOW CHANCE OF SURVIVAL. ALSO THE VET CONFIRMED THAT HE WAS SOLD TO US TO SOON. INSTEAD OF BEING 8 WEEKS LIKE THEY HAD ""CLAIMED"" HE WAS; HE WAS ONLY ABOUT FOUR WEEKS OLD. SO THAT CONTRIBUTED TO HIS SICKNESS. ALSO THEY DID NOTHING TO HELP WITH THE BILLS OF HIS SICKNESS. THEY OFFERED TO TAKE HIM TO THIER VET, BUT WHEN WE CALLED THEM THEY SAID THAT EVEN KNOW THEY DID BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY WOULD NOT STAY OPEN TO SEE OUR DOG. SO WHAT WERE THEY GOING TO DO WITH OUR PUPPY FOR THE WEEKEND. ALSO OUR PUPPY HAD KENNEL COUGH. BY THE WAY ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS WERE FROM THE OWNER TO MAKE HERSELF LOOK GOOD. IF YOU WANT TO SHELL OUT ALOT OF MONEY FOR THE DOG AT THEIR PLACE AND THEN PAY ALL THE VET BILLS FROM IT GETTING SICK BE MY GUEST. I HOPE THAT THIS HELPED SOMEONE WHO WAS THINKING OF GETTING A PUPPY THEIR. Cons: TOO MANY TO NAME more

Never Believe Former Employees Who Got Fired 5/8/2007

I know the owner of Pets Galore and know for a fact that the girl from Pet Smart is simply a disgruntled employee who got fired and has no clue what she is talking about. Sure puppies sometimes get sick - they are living animals. The ""back room"" is an isolation room specially constructed and designed - in conjunction with animal control - which has a separation ventiliation system vented to the outside to prevent the spread of airborne germs to other puppies in the store. Pets Galore works with 4 vets to ensure that puppies will be able to get an appointment when needed. They really care about their puppies. The DO NOT USE PUPPY MILLS. I know for a fact that they personally drive all over a 4 state area to pick up puppies from private people. No puppies are ever flown in or delivered by truck. Additionally - there has not been 1 single founded complaint since the former manager - Bob - was fired over a year ago. Anyone can verify this with animal control. They have a perfect reord and do everything possible to maintain the health, safety and welfare of all the animal in their store. Pros: Puppies are NOT in cages like other pet stores more
