I love this store. I think the prices are great and the store is well stocked. I'm not a fan of the small animals being upfront but I know they are well taken care of, first hand. Any animal that is there is treated with great respect and their fish tanks are great quality. more

i love super pets 4/2/2008

I take my puppy snoopy to super pets the grooming is awesome snoopy loves it he is very shy they make him comfortable and safe i also took my pit bull they wernt scared they treated her wonderful none of the pet stores in frederick would do her nails because she was skiddish they treated her as if she was their own it saved me from going to the vet and paying to have her put to sleep each time and saved me lots of money thanks super pets more

i will never ever buy a animal from there again b/c we bought to guinea pigs there and we loved them to death we knew they most likely didn't have a clean bill of health coming from there but we loved them to death. one day one of them (emma) had a weird breathing sound so we rushed her to the vet and it turned out that she had gotten amoneya* ( spelling) I was heart broken we had to feed her from a dropper for a week and like the vet said right when she seem to get better she died :( the vet said that it proboly ran in the litter so most of them likely had it to but on the positive side r other one is doing fine and is very happy. also there birds there are is horrible shape the one had plucked all it's feathers out of it's chest and was very skinny so i will never buy a anothe ranimal from there again but i do buy supplies there more

Smelly! 11/9/2005

This store is dirty and smelly! I also wanted to buy a hamster and they were not able to inform me of the sex. So they had both male/females thrown together and had no clue what was what. I had to leave and go to a knowlegable petshop where I knew I was not gonna bring home a pregnant pet! more

SuperPetz is not a very clean store , when you walk through the door you can tell by the odor coming from the small pets for sale area. There is usually at least one parakeet that has gotten loose and is flying around the store as well. The employees don;t seem to care about their animals well being.The prices are high and the expiration dates on a lot of the dry cat food items are past their shelf life. Service is also poor and you usually have to search out someone to help you. I was a patron of this store for a very short time due to the above mentioned reasons. You'll be better served going a little way further to Petsmart more

Not the store for me! 8/10/2005

After moving to the area, I found Super Pets. I was looking for a place to supply my bird with food. I did not find Super Pet to be inviting or well supplied. They have stuff for cats and dogs, but minimal for birds (just a few cadges). The associates seemed to be put out when I was asking for help. I did buy a Beta Fish from there, but have not been back to get anything else. Even though its only a few blocks away from my house, I would rather drive a bit further and be treated better. PROS: Stuff dor Cats and Dogs CONS: Poor Customer Service, and minimal bird supplies more

this is an ok store. they have a lot of stuff but it really needs to be renovated. it has been like 20 different grocery stores and is just seriously in need of an update. i would shop there more often if it was a nicer store. good prices. more

Poor sevice - last resort 7/28/2005

I used to live close to this store and would go there to buy prescription catfood, but otherwise I found it to be an extremely unpleasant experience, especially if I needed help finding items. I now buy my food from another vet. The service is the worst of any business I have ever been to - non-existent and even rude. When I tried to buy advertised items, they were always sold out, and when they gave rain checks (I understand they no longer do this), they never contacted me when the items arrived and only a manager could ring these up - making me wait ridiculously long. I tried to register a complaint through the website, but even this was impossible. I no longer even look at their ads and simply go to Petco or PetSmart - both of which have great friendly service. PROS: Location CONS: Poor service more

Not a great place to buy animals 7/20/2005

Super Pets is an ok place if you need a place close to get something for your pet. But if you want quality i'd drive a few extra miles to Petsmart.When you walk in the door the place smells.The ferret and rabbit cages are dirty as are the bird and reptile cages.The reptiles are really not well taken care of at all.Most look overly thin and unhealthy as do the parakeets.As for the parakeets,on several occasions i've been in the store and there's been parakeets loose and flying around the store and no one seems to care.The pet food on the shelves look old and the packaging dusty.The supplies are way overpriced!If you need help be prepared to stand around awhile before one of the employees will help you. more
