Im not a fan of franchises. Many lack the distinctive personality that mark a fine restaurant. The exception is Perrys Italian Kitchen in Clear Lake. What a treat! The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. Romantically lit, it is a perfect place for a couple or friends. The wine list is impressive. Perrys only flaw is that they serve their red wine at cellar temperature..56degrees...instead of serving temperature...65degrees...You can find a wonderful selection of reds, just ask your waiter to warm the bottle before serving. Our waiter, Jason, was wonderfully knowledgeable. He dissected the menu for my discriminating guests. Perrys General Manager, Christopher Colin, was especially accommodating. He decanted our bottle and was zealous of our satisfaction. The menu is wonderful. Lots of pastas with distinctive saucesand uniquely creative red meat creations. There are certainly better restaurants inside of 610, but none better south of Houston.
Pros: depth of menu, enviornment, staff
Cons: wine temperature
