Has everything apart from good customer service 3/30/2013

Been shopping here as a local, but try to take anything back or if they forget to bag something you have purchased, you are out of luck. Any problem is a big problem. Great store for looking but buy else where. more

Amazing home/gourmet store 6/19/2006

I had heard great things about this store from a local who explained that one reason she had decided to move to Boulder was because she knew that she would be happy living in a town that could support a store like Peppercorn. After my first shopping trip here, I can understand her excitement. I stopped in intending to spend about ten minutes or so to pick up a fathers day gift. Over an hour later, I wanted to keep shopping. These people are merchandising geniuses. They have such an incredbile range of products available for any gourmet or housewares need. For transplants from other towns, they seem to have collected local favorites from around the country - Frog Hollow preserves from San Francisco among them, alongside Fluff (whipped marshmallow) a personal childhood favorite. The staff at the store was incredibly competent and accessible - rather than having to hunt down someone when I had questions on an item, I quickly had two employees who added their opinion to my search for the perfect electric peppergrinder. Rather than simply pushing the most expensive items which often happens in stores like this, the salespeople were quick to point out the pros/cons of each item. This is a store where shopping is truly a fun experience. more

Great Kitchen Store and More 2/28/2006

Browsing in Peppercorn will take more than a few minutes, so leave some time! It is a very large store and full of creative items for the home as well as yummy food products. You'll get inspired for sure. Bright colors and pastels are both featured and the table settings are laid out in such a way as to inspire your own creativity. They also have all the cookbooks, appliances and gadgets you might think of owning in your kitchen. If you want the best for your kitchen--as well as the prettiest--this is the place to shop. more

Best Kitchen Store Hands Down! 2/23/2006

The Peppercorn is so fun and eclectic. It is the perfect place to take guests who visit from out of town who like to browse around. Their selection of cookbooks is astronomical! Kitchen gadgets-- you name it! They have tons of beautiful and unique pottery, dish ware and bowls made in Italy. Upstairs they have baby clothes and blankets etc... stuff you would not expect to find. You can get a cup of coffee from their coffee bar and enjoy scavaging through the whole store. There are stairs and the isles are crowded and narrow. It is not much fun with a stroller or I would assume wheelchair either. more

Awesome Home Store! 2/11/2006

Peppercorn is such a cool store! They have everything you can possibly imagine for your kitchen or home! It is a wonderful place to buy a unique gift for that special occasion! They also have a vast selection of different candies from all over the world! The only downfall is that it is very crowded and it is hard to walk around, especially with a stroller. I always worry that I am going to end up buying a very expensive broken something! more

Amazing 11/7/2005

This place is great! It has everything anyone would ever want for cooking, entertaining or purely enjoying food and the culture that surrounds it. The selection of cookbooks is amazing. Great place for gifts and seasonal goodies. more

Great for the professional or budding chef. 10/31/2005

I enjoy going to Peppercorn. They have an amazing selection of cook books and all the cooking gear you need to make any type of food. They celebrate Christmas year round, upstairs in their home decor area. They carry everything from Fiesta Ware to Versace China. And even have a section for kitchen linens (main floor) and one for bed and bath linens(upstairs). The best time to go to Peppercorn is during the week, it is so crowded on the weekend. Also if you are looking for something specific be sure to ask an associate to help you find it, they have a lot of merchandise and you may never find it on your own. Have fun and check out the Colorado foods section. more

Peppercorn 8/17/2005

Peppercorn is a home store on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall. It’s huge space is chock full of cookware, tableware, linens, pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, gourmet foods, books, and more. It’s almost impossible for a home owner to walk the narrow aisles between high shelves of merchandise and not find something new or interesting for the home. more

This place has everything you can imagine for your kitchen/dining needs. They have everything you need to prepare food from start to finish: some food items, cookbooks, kitchen implements and utensils and bowls/plates/glasses for serving. They also have a REALLY AMAZING selection of hot sauces from around the world. A MUST SEE when you're on the Pearl Street Mall! You have to drag yourself away. more
