Unhappy bunch @ Pep Boys 10/23/2010

Have been a Pep Boys customer for over last 5 years. Always had good impression - not any more. Clearly a bunch of over worked(?? under paid) unhappy bunch scrabling to catch up without regards to quality of service(?need to meet the quota). Don't even have courtesy to say hallo to phone calls-just puts me on hold. So switched to Firestone - Pep Boys kept me on hold over 20 min - Firestone, next door, got me in 15 sec. more

This pep boy is full of crap, I went in for a basic oil change and came out with a ruined clutch, even the courtesy drop off guy informed me that i should have looked elsewhere for svc but they had already started on my car. Be careful when dealing with them a basic oild change will ruin you, ask Brent the service front desk guy he was even dumbfounded when i brought the car back and couldnt give straight answers. more

I found them OK 7/9/2005

I wasn't amazed at great service, but they were adequate. I agree that the staff are a bit slow to respond and seem not real happy to be there, but the mechanics did a decent job with my car. more
